Description of Work: Install was painless. Service has been reliable. Had Time Warner for years. Found TWC remote/search to be more user friendly, but that may be that I'm just not used to it yet. Speed and service have never been a problem. Happy with Fios.

We have zero complaints. The service was going rock stars in 2007; the performance of the service has been pretty much better than anything that we have experienced in anybody else's house. I don't really have any complaints, but it seems more expensive than 2007. I don't know about the responsiveness because we haven't really needed them to be responsive, but the service is always there, it is not cut out, so I would rate them highly for that.

My husband has a new 4 G phone, and he hooks up his tablet to it, and his phone is a hot spot. I don't deal with them that much and I called them last week and they wont talk to me, it's in my husband's name. I don't have anything to compare them to, so for me it's okay. It is better than some other service providers in town. We talked during the block out; I don't think there are very many service providers, who were doing that.
Description of Work: Verizon provides us with an internet plan with the cell phones and voice mail.

I became dissatisfied with them. They had offered new users $79/month for all three services plus no charges for equipment (ex. DVR). They would not extend that offer to existing customers. My concern was their pricing, and I discontinued their services. They have now been offering me the special new user offer.

I have been having them for the last 3 years. The telephone customer service is horrible and the installation people are even worse in terms of waiting. Out of my 5 appointments, twice they didn't come and twice they were late. They were never on time. The company is so large that they often don't know what the other members of the staff promise to do and there is a need always to repeat things because they fail to make notes or fail to understand what is on the file. I will continue to use them in the future.

I signed up for FIOS triple play with installation 12/19/2011 and have not had one complete 24 hour period of uninterupted TV service! The multiroom DVR that has already been replaced once shuts itself off whenever, and we have missed the end of shows, lost pre-recorded shows and have been basically reduced to 1950's TV service that one might have in a rural area. When I have called technical support each technician (located all over the country) I have recieved different opinions on what was/is wrong. Three different technicians have been to the house, and the service they have performed has been cursory, each acting like they had somewhere else to go (texting friends, etc) instead of fixing my problem. It is almost impossible to get a tecnical visit without taking a day off from work. The technicians at the 800 numbers, which you must call first, have no access to local dispatch, so there is no such thing as an and quot;emergencyand quot; call to the house. I actually went out and purchased a new TV figuring that my old set was the problem. I also disconnected, at the advice of a technician, the second cable box that I have in another room, and removed all the cable myself. Fortunatly, I did not sign and contract with VERIZON and would urge any Angie's list member not to do so. FIOS is a technological gamble. If this is not 100% by the end of the week I will look for another service provider, and disconnect the entire system.
Description of Work: I signed up for FIOS triple play and have not had one complete 24 hour period of uninterupted television service since the installation on 12/19/2011. I really regret the decision to give them a try. The "multiroom" DVR that they tout has been replaced already once, and continually reboots, loosing all prerecorded shows and information. I have made almost daily calls to technical support (who are all over the country anyway) and everyone has a different opinion as to "what the problem is". I have had already three different technicians come to the house. It is impossible to get an appointment without having to take a day off from work, and the technicians, who request the service visit, have no way of contacting the local dispatcher! The time they spend is minimal, not enough to diagnose the problem. I went out and bought a new TV figuring that that might be the problem. It wasn't. I also disconnected my second cable line to help "boost" the signal. Fortunatly, I did not sign any contracts with Verizon and am "month to month" so I can switch back to Cablevision, if they don't get it right within the next few days. Buyer beware! FIOS is not ready for prime time yet, it is a technical gamble

Within 5 minutes of following her directions the messages were gone, also with confirmation texts coming from these people.

I spent about two hours with a foreigner to trying to get my service back up. They told me to not connect my Ethernet cable and then it wouldn't work. They put me on hold about three times and I talked to about three different people. This literally took about two hours. I talked to the manager and he also tried to get my Internet working, but this is another day gone to Verizon trying to get my computer working.

The technician was great. He was here for five hours. So far the picture is clearer and I don't have to worry about storms. With Direct TV, if there was a stormy would lose picture sometimes for a half an hour.
