They are sometimes really snotty on the phone. The pricing is very expensive. They are ripping people off. Their service is really good, but they charge you a lot of taxes which others don't have. I never had a good experience with a Verizon rep. I had them for a while because I had an iphone and nobody else had it, but they were so snotty. I would use them again only if they cleaned up their pricing.

They didn't charge anything for the installation. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. The installation was okay. They were punctual. They did a good job.

she then realized that this was an on going problem in my area (no access to the phone box on a pole) for the last 5+ years ..........................anyway, I ended up with a $187.00 refund..........but it was stressful and in the ongoing process I ended up getting a cell phone (just in case)................I wouldn't recommend them to anyone ..............................plus I am still a stock holder (since the seventies......before the split).
Description of Work: they tried to restore phone and internet service....................was told by the tech person..........they are waiting for the new service to come into my area.............mind you I had no phone service for 8 months ( no dial tone ...but still had internet service.. until that also went out)..........that is when I changed to cable............ after the switch (2012) ............Verizon had billed me for the service call and some outstanding bill..........( I had been paying them the whole time the service was out)..................I tried to present my concerns to them and they sent the bill into collections....................I tried to talk with collections and got no where.......................... I went back to verizon and spoke with a manager and she and I went over all the bills plus all the calls that I made to them during those 8 months.

I have been calling then for three days. Have filed complaints with the BBB, and the Consumers Union. What to you do when a company opts to stop providing the services you contracted for and leaves you out to dry. After 30 years I've had enough.
Description of Work: July 4th Verizon canceled my land line because I refused Fios. One of their employees cursed me and threatened if I did not let them install Fios they would cancel my service. The line was fine before they called. They also refused to forward the calls to my cell phone. If Fios was such a great product why the thuggish behavior. I have no way of knowing if they will cancel the service again before I switch to another provider. No matter who you call and talk to no one hears you at Verizon. I read that the landlines are regulated and Fios is not. What a terrible experience on the 4th of July. Note to Verizon, when you no longer provide services that people want, they may leave. I have been a happy customer until they worked me over. If the service was good then the threats would not have been necessary. If you have Verizon and do not want Fios switch to a new provider ASAP before they cut your service and leave you scrambling at the last minute. It is all how you’re treated and my 30 years of loyalty means nothing to them. Buyer beware.

The set up service was good. The guys came in set up our phone lines and internet. However, whenever calling in to get questions answered there's a very long waiting period till someone is available to assist, and many times they forward you to the wrong department that you end up being transferred several times till you speak to the right person. This is so frustrating!!!

When I called first time Verizon canceled just 1 of 3 of my services and converted it into double from triple, they did not mind that I already returned all equipment back to Verizon. Than I started getting fees for like installation and etc, for which were promised to be free. Every time I called to ask to remove charges, they were adding something new. Reps, who answer calls, even if they see wrong charge, could not fix it, none of the reps had authority to remove anything, only to add. After I paid for I supposed to pay, I start getting bills with late fees for amounts that were supposed to be adjusted in first place. And I had to call back and start over and over and over, when it was all over, sometimes in March 2013 ( services were canceled in Dec 12) I was so happy. I doubt I will ever return to Verizon, only if I will have no other choice. My advise to anyone who deals with Verizon, get everything in writing, whatever you were promised over the phone, will not work when you get the bill.
Description of Work: Signed up for Verizon triple bundle in Nov-Dec 2012, when find out that I am not going to get what I was promised at priced promised I decided to cancel my services and go back to Optimum in less than 2 weeks with Verizon. I had no contract agreement with Verizon.

They installed the fiber optic cable and box and stated that all of the services were operating correctly. The technician left and we found that the internet was not working but the phone and TV were working. After 3 weeks of phone calls and troubleshooting they stated that its not their problem and if they send a technician out to my house it would cost me money. I told them to send the tech out because it was not my fault and when the tech came he said that it was Verizon and they never ported over the internet to the house correctly. Verizon did not even credit my account for the 4 weeks of no internet service! HORRIBLE service provider.
