Ordered the doors in September/October and installed in November. Dennis has many years of experience and is a true professional. Installation was set for week of Thanksgiving and the installer, Frank, was great. Since the house is older I was a bit concerned about the installation but Frank is top notch and was able to install all doors in two days. They look terrific and haven't had any problems. I would highly recommend.

After getting quotes from several contractors, Mr Panza was able to come back with a lower price and had the winning bid on the project. The carpenter was working on the demolition, trash removal and installing the new drywall for 5 days. The room is now looks fantastic, they even included basic molding with the price, where other companies charged extra for it. We are very pleased with the outcome and definitely used their services again!

I used the company several times before, and I always received excellent service and quality work. This time we replaced 2 external doors with insulated metal doors and 5 internal doors. The install went smoothly and all was handled professionally from the beginning till the end. I highly recommend this provider.

Originally contacted Essex Replacement Door during the summer (Mid July) to come and provide us with a quotation. Dennis Sr. came over an reviewed with me and my wife all the options for replacement of our massive 42" wide door. After about an hour Dennis left us with some questions to be answered and preliminary quotation based off our discussion. About a week later we contacted Dennis to place and order and he came back to our house to review every thing again. We paid a deposit and requested some paint swatches before finalizing the final color. After some follow up we received swatches from the door manufacturer and we selected the final color. We had roughly 8-10 weeks lead time. I called every couple of weeks to make sure we were on schedule and requested that we schedule our installation in order for me to be available that day. Communication was good and we had crew scheduled for installation and time for work to start. Door fabricated and delivered on time and installation took place in October. On the morning of installation Frank was running a little late and Dennis followed up promptly. Frank seemed a bit rushed at first but took time to explain everything. I was worried about the interior trim not being damaged due to it's original age. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to do things right, no problems. Door installation took better part of the day. Additionally Frank installed new weather stripping on side exterior door. He also fixed another problem that I had with the deadbolt at no cost. In January and February of this year we were having some issues with the door lock sticking. I sent email to Dennis Jr. stating the problem and received a response the next day via phone call to discuss. Without hesitation, Dennis agreed that it needed to be looked at in person and scheduled someone to come out at take a look. Frank came back out last week and checked it out.

Our front door was steel but since it was encased in a wood frame it was very easy for the burglar to break into our home. Dennis was very empathetic to our situation, responded quickly and came over that evening even though he had a job he had to finish that day. His wonderful service and interpersonal skills had us signing a contract that evening for a custom steel door with steel frame. He told us it would take approx 3 weeks and kept us posted when it arrived for installation. I had scheduled the installation appointment myself and confirmed it for 1:00 pm as I always work mornings. Unfortunately, the installation team arrived at 9:00 am. I left my job frustrated but knew these things happen. However, I was disappointed with the team's response when I arrived. They were not empathetic at all and tried to correct me telling me it was scheduled for 9:00 am. When they completed the installation, they told me that my alarm system magnets were not working properly. I told them it's new and it's working fine and that you just need to.... I was rudely cut off. He continued to try and correct me. I took the alarm magnets and showed him how it worked. His response - it's different than the other systems he's used to. I responded, exactly, this is my system and I know how to use it. I did wonder whether the team would talk the same way to my husband the way they spoke to me. We did have some questions regarding our installed door which Dennis responded to via email.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. I'm a detail-oriented person as you can tell from my reviews. Dennis was a pure pleasure to work with. Not only did he have an excellent record with Angies list, 3rd party reviews, BBB etc. but all of his references checked out. He's been in business for decades, that says something. When I had questions about the Andersen options, Dennis called the the Andersen supplier right then & there to get the answers. Dennis is a very likeable guy who could have retired long ago, but clearly loves what he does. It's nice to see that. Pricing: As for pricing, those who have done their research & received competitive quotes will know that this was an extremely reasonable price-point for the scope of work. Especially, since the brand name doors themselves + hardware were the majority of this cost. Dennis offered some generic doors at first as cost savings, which was nice to see, but I wanted the premium doors. Contract: Dennis hand-wrote the contract on standardized letterhead with me present. Terms, model #'s, hardware descriptions, Scope of work etc. was noted so nothing was left to chance which I like to see. The contract process & the contract language itself was very beneficial to the customer. Payment terms: Dennis was very easy to work with. 50% deposit & balance due upon completion & satisfaction. Both payments were paid promptly. Time-frame: The custom doors were fabricated on time & Dennis scheduled the install immediately upon receipt, which was nice. Dennis scheduled for Friday & Saturday installs so I only had to take (1) day off from work. Extremely important benefit! Punctuality & Responsiveness: Dennis returned every one of my calls & kept me up-to-date on everything. He was on time for each of the appointments we had & knew his products. His installer (Frank) was also extremely punctual & incredibly attentive. Install & Quality: What good are quality doors without a quality install? Dennis' installer (Frank) was beyond awesome. He worked tirelessly more than 8 hours a day for (2) days & stopped in a few days later to check on everything. I've never seen anyone work so hard, work completely solo, but yet not rush his activities. For this reason, I was worried for a moment that quality would be overlooked, but Frank's attention to detail & thoughtful approach from experience exceeded even my expectations. For instance, there was a portion of the CMU wall to the right of the Den door which wasn't going to look great & I was wondering how I would fix it since it wasn't in the scope. To my surprise, Frank also saw it & without saying anything built a "custom-piece" on Saturday morning & installed it at 8am to dress up the area. See photos. Warranty & Call Back: With this amount of work, it's surprising I only had a single item for the "punch list". A door handle was a little "loose". Dennis & Frank took this seriously & tightened it up with 24 hours. Bottom Line: I will be using this company again & again as we upgrade our home. Thank you Dennis & Frank!!

Dennis was personable and professional in presenting us our options for a replacement patio door for our condo. He tried to meet all of our needs in finding us a custom door option. The installation was quick and very clean. We are very happy with our new door!

Excellent. Dennis is a terrific, down to earth salesman who really seems to enjoy his work and making his customers happy. His installation team was professional, super fast and made the project seem so easy. All of which comes from years and years of experience. Real pro's. I will use them again when it is time to replace our doors.

My wife and I couldn't ask for more. Dennis and his crew were excellent and they cleaned up well. Frank who installed the windows and the front door did it all in one day. He was very courteous and easy to deal with. He also took care of capping the windows that were not replaced and located in an area where the siding will not be installed because the front of our house is stone-faced. Raphael and his crew did an excellent job with the siding. Again, he and his crew were very punctual, courteous and easy to deal with. We had a problem with our gate not being able to latch properly because it would hit the siding. We spoke to Raphael and he made the adjustment without hesitating. Both my wife and I were already prepared to bring up something that we may not be satisfied with but not with this crew. Everything went smoothly. I would not hesitate to go see Dennis when the time comes for us to update our bathroom or kitchen. Don't think that just because Dennis' company says "Replacement Doors & Windows" that they are limited to just that. I would not hesitate to recommend Dennis and his crew for your next project. Remember they are just not doors and windows! Oh and Dennis is a true gentleman and easy going. And, he returns phone calls promptly.

On the day of the install Frank came and did an excellent job fitting and installing the doors. I am very happy with the overall experience. Fantastic experience!! Dennis met with both my husband and I, reviews our options and truly helped guide us in selecting the perfect door/sidelights for our home. He was very genuine, honest and trustworthy. The work was completed in the time frame he laid out for us and the job was exceptional! Very professional from start to finish. Would highly recommend them and plan on using them for other projects we are looking to complete.

Dennis the owner came to the house for an estimate on a Friday night when we both were home. He went over all the options and also provided cheaper options. I had thought i wanted wooden french doors, which he was happy to quote, however we ended up spending a third of what that would have cost. with an aluminum slider. Dennis was very thorough and took the time when going over the order. Very friendly. The door took at lease six weeks to arrive, which we expected, however they called to move the deliver date back a week. Wasn't a huge issue, however it was getting cold at night and our door was very drafty. As expected they get very busy before the cold weather comes in as everyone is planning ahead. On the day of installation they arrived on time and were very neat and professional. They were concerned about blocking off the room they were working on so the entire house did not lose heat. Very happy with the quality of the door - many compliments. Dennis even showed up himself at the end of the installation to make sure we were happy. You do not see many owners taking the time to do that. I would recommend them and will use again.

Dennis, the owner, personally visited twice to go over our options. He is just as kind, professional, and informative as the other reviews indicate, and it was a pleasure to work with him. As new home owners, we had a ton of questions about doors, and he answered them all thoroughly and went over our options with care. While the eventual date of service was slightly later than originally planned, this was a minor setback. The technicians who visited were courteous and diligent. The doors are sturdy and look fantastic--we are regularly complimented on them.

It's an old house so it's a special kind of deal. It's not easy to replace. He had a good carpenter who did a great job of taking out an old window and putting in one of these Marvin Windows. They had to rip out and do carpentry work. They're a great company. It's expensive but it's an A.

Great got an estimate, paid downpayment with Denis, Scott came with door and window when it was ready,ran into problem with wood around door,job took 7 hours instead of 5, but he remained professional clean, pretty work very neat, Iam warm and happy..

My overall experience was fantastic from the initial estimate to updates on the delivery of these custom doors, and of course the installation. The installation was done by an extremely experienced installer who has been with the company for countless years. Family business vibe. Trustworthy. Above and beyond with customer service and efforts for perfection. Even after final payments were received, the owner followed up to make sure I was satisfied. They even came back for a minor cosmetic request quickly and with no hesitation (no additional cost). Thank you Angies List for matching us up. I would recommend this company to anyone with no hesitation! (oh yea, and the price was extremely reasonable. Left feeling I got my money's worth and then some).

Dennis, the owner, was very friendly and professional. He provided me with a wide variety of doors for selection and gave me an estimate. The door arrived on the scheduled date (6 weeks). The installer did an excellent job with the installation of the door. He is an expert in his craft. Overall, I would rate this company as excellent and would use their service again.

Dennis, the owner was fantastic. Professional, responsive, easy to reach via both his company phone number and cell number. We live in a brick row house in Jersey City that has poor insulation and decided we needed to address the issue before the arrival of winter. He came to our house, completed an assessment of our problems and we agreed on the installation of Provia Storm doors, one of which had to be custom made given it's unusual size. The job took was completed in about 3 weeks since we had to wait for the doors to arrive. Carlos was the experienced carpenter (30+ years of experience) assigned to our project and he was meticulous, thorough and did not cut any corners in installing our doors. In fact, Carlos took an additional day of installation in order to properly complete our job due to challenges encountered with our door frame and his desire to return and reseal the frames around our doors. The doors look beautiful and are of high quality. I conducted research on the Provia brand since they are more expensive than the storm doors I found at Lowes and am very pleased with the reviews I found on these doors. More importantly I can already tell that these storm doors are making a huge difference in cutting down on the draft that was entering our home. I would definitely hire him again and would highly recommend Essex Replacement Door and Window to anyone interested and in need of these services.

The owner is a good guy. Came twice to my house for the original estimate and to double check measurements before placing the order. The doors were ready in about 5-6 weeks. The installer does contract work for this company, and while a little slower doing the install by himself he was very exacting in his work. Total install time for all doors and trim was 4 working days. I would use Essex Door again, but would probably ask for an extra installer given the time spent.
