I ended up calling them again for more work. I give them straight As and will continue to use them in the future.

He called at the time of the appointment and said he was being held up and then never bothered to call that he wasn't going to be able to come at all even though he said he wold be here just late. and I am not going to use them as they are unreliable.

They were almost on time and they did a pretty good job. I am happy with the services.

They estimated the job and gave me a verbal on the price. Never got anything in writing because the estimator didn't have papers with him. He said that I would get a written estimate in the mail. I never did. Upon completion of the job the price was higher. I didn't have any proof and had to pay more then we had agreed on in the first place. The job should have been put in writing and signed by them the day they looked at it..

Dos : if you want to replace air filter, probably good to have one handy. He probably bought some in his van, but not sure if it would have fitted our furnace. He was very helpful.

He came out as requested and provided a quote as requested. The pricing was competitive.

The service was good. They did a good job.

I called 5 days in advance for a bathroom remodel estimate and made an appointment. They never showed up and never called. Why should I have to call again to give my business? No thanks.

We think they charged us $300 for their services. We didn’t have a problem after they fixed the roof. They work on a lot of different things but they just did this repair for us. We will use them again in the future if we need to.

They were great. They were courteous, neat, and on time. They worked quickly and did a great job. I would absolutely recommend them to others!

They were professional and prompt. The quality was fine. Their responsiveness was excellent.

We had a snowstorm that caused damage to our home and I called On the Spot Improvements to do the repair work they were here after the October storm to replace some of the the siding and we had damage to our roof that had to be repaired, there were three of them and they had it done in one day. They had to hand clean some of the siding as there were leaf stains they had to be removed, they had to replace some of the roofing they also had to install new gutters. They had to remove and replace aluminum around the windows, they were here pretty much the whole day. The workers were courteous and professional, they did an excellent job. We were well pleased with their work and I would use them again, I highly recommend them.

They did a good job, but they charged me a couple hundred dollars more than a coupon I had. That was the only concern I had.

We were really happy with their service. It was fantastic. They came when they said they would. The price was good too. I would tell friends and family to use them.

An estimator came at the appointed time measured and said he would e-mail a couple of alternatives with prices which he did. He said it would take about three weeks to get the door which it did. After accepting one of the choices I paid ten percent down and gave them the $50.00 Angie's List coupon. They finished the work in the time frame specified. The door looks very nice does the hardware.

I don’t think they were up to the standards of our neighborhood. They were fair and I wouldn't use them again.

I was not that happy with them and I was not crazy about them. It was through a Groupon coupon. They did not come when they said that they were going to come and basically, that was my only complaint. It was okay when they were here and I was pleased with the work that they did. The work was fine. The people that came out were fine.

It took them a little while to get back to me with the estimate.

The first time they came out to clean the gutters they did a great job. I hired them to do it again and requested to have the same person do the job. He was unavailable. I asked them to only come when I was home, because I wanted to be present when the work was done. They ended up coming when I was not home, which I didn't like. I got home and found that they didn't clean up after the job. They left the leaves from the gutters just sitting on the ground. I contracted them to clean them 2-3 times a year. It was kind of hit or miss with the service. Sometimes it went great, and sometimes there were problems. One of the guys in the office kept trying to sell me a new gutter system saying it was better, but the workers said it was basically the same thing and told me it wouldn't be worth the money.

The price was a bit steep and they didn’t seem very thorough; they didn’t really look at what needs to be done. The windows that they were using were not good quality. They were on time and they gave me the quote on time, but the quote they sent wasn't very detailed.

I had not had this done in several years, and previous experiences with other companies had been less than satisfactory. My yellow siding was starting to be more green (with mildew) than yellow, so I decided to try On the Spot. Results were excellent. Worker accommodated my schedule and did a terrific job of getting all the dirt and muck off the siding. It looks brand new. I'm very pleased with the service, and I thought the price was reasonable. They are returning in a few weeks to wash my exterior windows. Could not do it today because of rain.

The contract and deposit were signed and delivered on May 12th 2011. The estimated start date was May 26th with estimated completion of 26 June. In late June when no one had contacted us with an updated time frame and several phone calls had not produced results we visited the company's office on Market Street in Saddle Brook, NJ We inquired in person for a date. We also provided two alternate contacts for the summer months. We were told that the job would be started on the 27th or 28th of June. We went away feeling that things were under control. On August 17th we were copied on an e-mail from an alternate contact that OTS was ready to start, but they needed a check..... The other alternate contact (who lives at the address) A.. Had the check, B. did not even get a knock on the door stating that they were ready to start and C. there was no permit provided and when inquiry was made, they said they would have to get it. The permit was delivered later that day. (( This is a quote from the resident of the house: They did start on the steps this morning, but we only knew because of the pounding. No one bothered to knock or ring the bell. I could have given them the check already. Dave, tell them I can give them the check as soon as they give me the permit we're suppose to display (!) )) The workers did not originally expose the foundation so the boro inspector failed it on inspection because he could not see the foundation to inspect it. This created another delay. THe foundation was exposed and the boro re-scheduled the inspection and the foundation passed. On August 26th the job was not yet completed. On September the 2nd we met with the estimator to verify the condition of the hand rails and that they could indeed be re-habbed and re-installed. That was done in the last 2 weeks. Finally today ( 28th September) the wood at the bottom of the door frame area was replaced. 4 months from On the Spots original estimated start date to final completion of the job is excessive. I was using this experience as a vetting process to qualify On the Spot as an approved vendor for other projects for the church for whom I am the property warden.They did not pass the vetting process due to excessive time and poor office staff communication.

I purchased the window-cleaning coupon from Angie's List and made an appointment for someone to come out on a Wednesday. I had been told that I could call on Tuesday eve between 5:00 and 5:30 to get an approximate time, but when I called at 5:15 the answering service told me that they always answered at that time and could only pass along a message. My husband is disabled and I had to have him reschedule his monthly blood tests so that he and the aide would be home to wait, since we didn't have a time frame of when to expect them. No one showed up at all that day, and they didn't call to apologize or to reschedule. No one called the next day either or answered the message I left with the service. On Thursday evening I left another message and someone called on Friday morning. He was apologetic and said that they could definitely get someone to my house on Saturday if I could be here. This isn't normally a good day for me, as I take my husband for his physical therapies on Saturday and we're usually out until late in the afternoon. However, I really wanted this done, so I said okay. They told me that they would come at 2:30. Again no one showed up that day, and again no one even bothered to call. To add to my annoyance was the fact that I had pulled all the furniture away from the windows so that they would have easy access, got down all the blinds and curtains, and hacked back a climbing rose so they could easily get to the windows. Of course all of the furniture and blinds and stuff ended up in the middle of my rooms, so they were a mess and I couldn't get to my cupboards, etc. This certainly seemed reasonable at the time to help with getting the job done, but when they didn't come show up for two appointments, it was a huge mess for six days. When they finally showed up on the third appointment, they didn't do the work that was specified on the coupon. The coupon stated that they would wash the windows and the frames inside and out, but all they did was wash the glass panes. The guys who did the work were pleasant enough, but all they had to work with were tiny buckets at their waists and small squeegees. They had no vacuum or step stools or anything they would need to do any more than wash the glass panes, so I didn't bother being mad at them, as they obviously weren't in charge and I had had enough aggravation already and just wanted to get my furniture back in place. The coupon had seemed like a good chance to try out a company with little risk. I would have thought they had the same idea when they offered the coupon: to encourage potential customers to see that they are trustworthy and do good work. Irrationally, they seem to have taken the opposite approach.

I got a better quote from another company, so I did not go with On The Spot Home Improvements. I will definitely contact them again in the future.
