They said if we get rid of the weeds, the grass will grow. It didn's so im back to square one.

I replace my yard with new grass in May 2013 and Scott been taking care of my lawn. My lawn has grown green and thick with their help. I was using TruGreen and they are the worse lawn care provider. Scott is my choice.

I pre-paid for the full year's treatment. The second treatment (spring) was not done. I contacted the vendor, I believe three times, until it was finally done. Now the third treatment has not been done, and it's two months late. I called, and was told the manager was out. I have had to buy materials and treat my lawn myself, because now I have rust due to the lawn not being fertilized. I paid a large premium for this lawn service over what I h ad previously, because I thought Scott's was a good name. Was I wrong! I would not use their service if they gave it for free.

I knew that Scotts Lawn products had a good reputation. They applied an initial Turf Builder application in the late spring (I believe a spray product), and I was very pleased with the results. The lawn seemed to get very full and was very green as well. About a month later, they came for a second application. Unfortunately, this was the morning that a tropical storm was approaching the area. I felt certain that they wouldn't be applying that day, but when I got home from work I noticed that a notice was left indicating they had applied their products (I believe a turf builder and possible broadleaf weed killer as well) in the morning when it wasn't raining that hard. Later that day we had very heavy rain (up to 3 inches). I noticed a short time after that application, some brown spots began to appear in the lawn. The brown spots became more numerous over time, despite the use of my irrigation system. Another application was applied about a month later, and the lawn continued to get even worse. There were several brown spots and patches appearing all over the lawn. When I called Scotts, the initial representatives that answered the phone were cordial. When I asked to speak to the technician that worked on our lawn, I was told they make phone calls when they come back in from the field. This started a long game of phone tag with the result being I never got to talk to the technician that applied the last application. We've had a very wet summer here, so I didn't use my irrigation system much. I know that Scotts turf builder uses a time-release technology. After doing some research, I found out that this time release is based upon the amount of water that goes into the ground. I believe that the very heavy rain we've had may have triggered more rapid release of the product, causing the brown spots. I was assured by Scotts representatives that their products would not cause burning. All I know is that my lawn still has many of the brown spots/areas to this day. Most of my neighbors who haven't used Scotts or a similar type of program have, although not perfect, green lawns. I decided to not risk further damage being caused by any more applications, so I stopped the program. I'm disappointed that the company advertises they will help get your lawn green and lush, while mine actually got more burned, brown, and worse looking than when they started working on it.

This is the first year I've used them. They're amazing. I absolutely love it. I can definitely see improvements. I didn't have a bad lawn to begin with. I've actually got two or three of my neighbors got interested in their service as well. They come early, which is nice. Sometimes I don't even know they're there. They leave me a little bag with material and give me a summary of what they did for the day and that's that. I kind of like that. I chose them, first of all, because of their name because they have their own products. I was looking at their reputation and the number of years they've been in business. I know some of my neighbors had Scotts so I kind of felt that "Wow" when they did their lawns. I actually got an advertisement in the mail from them and just had to give them a call and they gave me a really good price.

The person/people who came to perform the services moved over my one acre property so quickly to plant seed that it was not a surprise that nothing grew. Though the were willing to repeat the services until we had the desired result, I was not going to put myself through that. I told them that I would pay for the $95 fee for one application of weed killer or whatever it was, but that they would need to cancel my account and credit the amounts they were charging. I had to be quite firm, but they finally agreed.

The price was reasonable. They're only new to us but we're pleased with the product so far. They've been very nice. I never had any problems with them so far. I don't have a problem with their responsiveness.

They were response, very nice and very professional. My objection to them was that it was right in the middle of leaf blowing season so there were all kinds of leaves on the ground. I told them that I needed more time to get the leaves of the ground before they put their stuff on but they came and sprayed anyways. They were kind of pricey.

Good. He came and did the service, left a bill in the door as we agreed. I sent a check. He will be back in the fall or sooner if I call him.

I was very happy with the first 4 treatments on my lawn. I had moss in my lawn and that was part of why I was having it treated. The lawn was looking good at this point. After the 5th treatment my lawn took a turn for the worse and started getting dry patches throughout. I called the manager who came out and stated that the lawn had been over treated with their product. The manager had my lawn re-seeded in the late fall but nothing was growing. I called him again and he stated to wait until spring and see what it does. In the spring I called back because my lawn was still not growing and found out that the manager I had been talking with was no longer at that location. The new manger sent someone out who had lots of excuses as to why it was not growing and handed me a bag of grass seed. I contacted the manager and he sent someone out again who "re-seeded" the lawn but only in the spots that needed it and just sprinkled a little dirt and seed down. I decided to cancel my account with the lawn service and received a call from someone at the corporate office who stated they needed to take care of the issue and gave me a number to call and get with him. I have tried calling that number and have been told they didn't know who that person was I spoke to. I am very disappointed with the service I have received after having used them in the past.

Easy to apply online. You are able to get a estimate of cost. When treatment completed. The technician left instructions online and at my house. My lawn looks better after a week.

I spoke to a very nice, well informed man. He was able to use his computer to scope our my property and gave me a quote over the phone. I thought the price was very reasonable.

This company was horrible!!!! I called and signed up with the company and gave my credit card information for them to perform service. They failed to send me a signed agreement which they told me my town requires in order for them to perform services on my lawn. I called twice for them to send agreement via email and they failed to email agreement. I do have to say the employees were kind and offed a discount for their misake. The employees get an B, however the couldn't even get my email address correct.

I'm satisfied with their services. Our grass is greener and we don't have any weeds.

They come on time and fertilize the lawn as their program outlines. The weeds are dramatically less than when we first started and the grass is much greener and thicker.

I've used Lawn Doctor, Trugreen, and Scotts over the past 12 years. They all have their pros and cons. I gave Scotts a try since my neighbor has been using them for a couple years. They do a decent weed & feed service, they're in and out reasonably quickly, and they do call in advance. My problem has been an emergence of more crabgrass over the past year or two, so I wanted Scotts to do pre-emergence treatments in the Spring to help keep the crabgrass in check. The negatives: Scotts is more expensive than Lawn Doctor or Trugreen by about $20-$25 per treatment. What is most annoying is their sales follow-up calls. Selling you more stuff...more treatments...fall seeding...lime treatments...anything and everything they can think of to make more money. I really wish they'd just knock off all of the sales calls and just do the weed & feed treatment.

The initial application was good and we noticed a great improvement overall. From then on, it was downhill. Clover and crab grass patches through out our yard. Borders around driveway and bedding areas not treated. Grass behind a swing not treated. We referred them to neighbors and friends after the first application and noticed the same thing in their yards. When I called to complain, they send someone at no charge to treat it again but it rained that morning and within an hour after the treatment. No improvement noticed. I paid my last invoice and asked to cancel any further service. Do feel free to use them ONE time but then move on. Don't sign up for any contract because our experience seems to be common.

.I have used Scott's since 2003. They fertilized my lawn and I have used them for aeration. The last 2 times I was home when they treated our lawn and I noticed they didn't do the hill in our back yard like they have previously. The first time, I let it go. The second time I decided to call. They said it is noted in my account to only go to the base of my hill. I have no idea when they noted that on my account, but I certainly didnt know about it. They raised my rate last year, so maybe they did that then so the rate didnt go up as much, but no one contacted me. They said they would be happy to come out and measure and tell me how much it would be to do the rest of my lawn! Needless to say I declined and I told them I would like to cancel my service. They used to write a note after each treatment talking about the condition of the lawn, but with their new electronic system, they don't do that. I guess it just seems the service has slipped. It disappoints me that as a customer for 9 years, they didn't say anything other than they don't know how that note was on my account, and would be happy to do the rest of the lawn, but would charge me. Especially when they used to do the whole lawn. Seriously, why would I agree to them not doing the entire lawn?? Oh well, I guess I will use Angie's list to look for alternatives. I think they have a good product, but for the price, I think there should be better service. There are too many alternatives to be indifferent.

We should have cancelled a long time ago. We've had Scotts for a number of years for our lawn service and tree and shrub service and every four months or so, we begin to have problems with them not coming out, forgetting to do a scheduled service or just plain missing large areas of weeds in the yard when treating. Each time, it takes forever to talk to anyone in charge and each time we have gotten the same story that there has been recent turnover, they are training new folks and it won't happen again. Things go okay for about 4 months, and then the same song and dance. Recently, we've been getting calls about overdue bills before we even receive the statements in the mail. The last straw was when we called two weeks ago to have someone come out to look at several of our shrubs which were suddenly turning brown. We were informed that someone would contact us within the next day or two. Four days later, we called again because we hadn't been contacted and were again told that someone would contact us. On July 6, we called again, and were again told someone would contact us. I finally called them back today and after being on hold for 23 minutes, spoke with the Area Manager out of Austin Texas, who told me he didn't show any calls from us except on on July 6th, one back in April and then none since 2009. This was obviously grossly incorrect, we've probably called about problems at least 20-25 times during that period. He then asked why they hadn't done our lawn treatment that had been scheduled in May and I told him that was a good question - it's not my job to call them, it's their job to get it done. Because we have dogs, we asked Scotts to annotate our file to ensure that we know when they are coming out so we can make sure our dogs can't get into the yard during service. About 33% of the time, they come, leave a note that they couldn't service due to pets. When we call Scotts, they say 'yeah, it's in the file - I don't know why they didn't call'. In short, the service has been mediocre or bad most months with an occasional good month interspersed. It seems that Scotts has a relatively high turnover off personnel (or so we've been told as reasons for bad service) which doesn't help. I would NOT recommend them and will NOT use them again.

They do excellent work. I would highly recommend them.
