Never, ever, deal with these people. They are worse than used car salespeople. I entered my info online and I got calls from 6 different salespeople and I got 6 different quotes, ranging from $750 to $1500 dollars, and I heard every sales line in the book. They even did the "I'm gonna get my manager on the phone to give you the best price." Also, "I'm really losing money for the company on this but I like you." Then, when I declined the last offer the sales person put it through as if I signed up and I kept getting emails asking me to confirm the service. Had to write to customer service to get them to stop.

I've had Trugreen for many years. My lawn looks the worst in the area. Every time they aerate and reseed, they come back a few weeks later and kill all of the newly sprouted grass with a heavy application of fertilizer. The bare spots are worse than they were 3 years ago, after their "guaranteed" service. I now have a lawn that is predominantly moss. Their techs have told me that they don't treat moss. I had to go to Home Depot and get a bag of Moss killer that worked one year. Why to I pay for a service if i have to do that? Also, customers can't call the servicing location. Must call the 800 number and HOPE they call you back (which is hit or miss). I called to see if the manager could walk my property and tell me that they are proud of what they have done with my lawn. No call back. I wanted to hear what they propose to do to remedy the situation before I continue with their service. No response. when I called, the main office had no notes on my call from their rep. Their whole system is in need of review and modification. Looking for another service!

I actually fired them in August of 2016.? I had a year contract with them.? It was just a gradual decline.? First of all, it's the complete opposite of personalized service.? They're a nationwide company. It's a great big corporation. When you call, you're calling an 800 number, and nothing against the people answering the phones, but they don't know anything.? You can't get through to people that know stuff, so that's a huge problem right there.? And then the technicians that come out, all they know is just come out and put the fertilizer down or whatever it is, and leave.? They don't tell you that hey, Mr. Marano we notice this or we noticed that.? They leave it on the homeowner to say hey, why do we have all these brown spots.? Oh, well that's because you have such and such. Oh, well it would've been nice if you would have told me.? It's corporate lawn service.? They're just coming out, they're blowing through, they're putting down whatever they're doing, and leaving.? Listen, I could get my niece to do that you know, and she's nine years old.? I pay these guys so they look at the lawn and say hey this is going on, that's going on, blah, blah, blah.? So they're gone.? And when you ask them about it, they get a big attitude.? And then they want to up sell you on everything.? They just bought another nationally named company and now they want to do all this other crap. They want to treat your trees and and all this other stuff.? They get F's straight down.? Their prices okay; let's be fair, their price is reasonable.? I can see that getting an A; their price is correct. ??

They will come back out if the jobs not right. I called them and some seed wasn't coming in and they came back out with more seed.

I think they overcharge and they're constantly calling to get me to add new services that you really don't need. I've had them for years but I'm leaving them. They have good service. They could stop pushing their products on me.

Their responsiveness is very good. We had a problem with violets. I tried it myself and I couldn't get rid of them. I called them 4 or 5 years ago. They came out and treated the violets. They did the rest of the lawn and they got rid of them.

While the individual on the phone was prompt and nice about cancelling the service, she could not explain how a service could be set up from a call that never occurred.  I can't imagine how many people would be impacted by this obvious scam set up by Scotts.

I had been a Scotts Lawn Service customer for less than a year when they called me in August or early September 2015 to offer lawn aeration and seeding services. I asked how often the aeration should be done and the salesman said every 1-2 years. Since I had the aeration performed on 11/1/2014 I declined these additional services. And I told him, regarding the seeding, that I had spoken to the lawn technician regarding a problem with Johnson Grass. I told the salesman that the tech told me that the only way to get rid of it was to kill it but that there was no herbicide specifically for that type of grass so the entire area would have to be killed and that it should be done in the Fall. The tech said to kill that area and then he would come back and seed the bare spots. Since it was not Fall I did not kill the Johnson Grass at that time. On 9/18/15 I came home to find that my lawn had been aerated and seeded, which surprised me since I had made it clear I did not want this service. Even on their website these services are listed as optional and I did not check the box to add them. On 9/22/15 I contacted Scotts through their website and stated my complaint. This was the second time they performed services that I did not ask to be done. The first time they removed the service from my bill. I asked them to remove these charges ($295) from my bill this time as again, these were not authorized. My bill still reflects the charges. I contacted them again via email on 10/11/15 and 10/21/15 to remove the charges. I even directed them to not perform any further services until we resolved the 9/18 service issue because if it could not be resolved I was going to terminate my service with them. But on 10/22/15 they performed another lawn treatment for $80.

A representative called me in November to discuss the matter. I have repeatedly asked that they not call me and to contact me through email in the evenings. Yet this was the second time they called me during the day. Since I wanted to resolve the matter I  decided to stay on the line since I thought this would be a quick resolution. I stated that I wanted the charges removed from my bill for the aeration and seeding. I did not mention the fact of the unauthorized 10/22 service since if we could have amicably resolved the 9/18 service I would have paid for the 10/22 service. The rep started out pleasantly but when I tried to talk she talked over me and would not listen to me.

When the service was offered, I was told I was receive a discount if I paid upfront. I did and after the services were completed, I received a bill for the discounted amount. I was told to use the webpage to send any concerns or issues. I sent a message inquiring about why I was being billed for the discounted amount. Never received a response. Only received another bill with a threat of a $7.50 late fee if I didn't pay.
OK, they will get their $6.60 and they will never do business with me again. I don't do business with dishonest people.
