Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

My almost annual call to Roto-Rooter to clean out my main drain that backs up into my basement from root clog. The technician came out within an hour of my call and proceeded to pull the basement toilet and rooter the drain, as usual there were lots of roots. So he suggested he use the camera to see how bad the system was this year. The drain was still full of roots and the breakage was only getting worse. So he gave me an estimate for bursting a new pipe through. Seeing that this problem was only getting worse we decided to go ahead with the bursting. They were out the next day with a crew of 4 and proceeded to complete the task of digging both ends and pulling the new pipe through to the city sewer. They were completed by the end of the day.

My wife and I woke up to a flooded basement. After numerous plumbers let me down and didn't even show up: I called Roto Rooter. 1 hour later Tung 2510 showed up and cleared a clog in my drain. Because of the extensive damage, Tung recommended the restoration supervisor come out to access our basement. Shortly after our call the restoration people showed up and walked us through the process and in a matter of hours the LARGE MESS was cleaned up! We will continue to Roto Rooter for all our needs. Water was overflowing in the basement due to a clog near the mail line (close to the street). I called Roto-Rooter and they dispatched a tech right away. I called at 6pm, the tech arrived around 7pm. The service was completed in about an hour. He ran the cables down the line to clear the clog and also inspect the pipes with a very High-Tech camera. Kevin was very professional and explained everything in details. I will definitely use this company in the future if I come across this issue again.

The two guys who came out were very knowledgeable and friendly and found and fixed my leak quickly with little impact... I thought they were going to have to open the ceiling but they managed to fix it without causing me to have to do any drywall work. I was surprised to hear that Roto Rooter also did interior plumbing work... (I thought they only cleared clogs!) I will definitely call them again if I need to (hopefully I won't). They returned my calls quickly and managed to get out to my house within 2 hours. The price was very reasonable for the amount of time they spent troubleshooting and fixing my problem.

I called Roto Rooter after I discovered a 2 inches of Sewage in my basement. They sent out a plumber who arrived in 1 hour. He told me I had a clog in my sewer line, after clearing the clog the plumber recommended having their restoration department clean the sewage. In a matter of 4 hours all my problems were solved. The plumber 1773 and the restoration technicians were very knowlegeable and extremely helpful and I would highly recommend them.

The job went smoothly. The office called 30 min in advance to tell me the technician was on his way. The technician arrived promptly, quickly identified the problem and cleared the clog. Call was a little pricey but I was able to use a $40.00 coupon plus Roto-Rooter guarantees the work for 6 mos. Would use again.

I had started replacing a kitchen disposer by myself for the first time, but experienced a problem dislodging the discharge pipe which had been inadvertently glued by a previous owner, and did not have tools to finish the job. Although not technically an emergency, Chris came out within an hour, was able to separate the pipes, and then made certain the the disposer was installed correctly, I appreciated his patient assistance and price was reasonable. I believe he was dispatched from an office in Morrisville, PA.

Mike was very prompt and professional in handling my clogged drain. Will use again but hopefully not anytime soon!

Broken pipe was fixed with shark bite clamps.

They came out that very same day. I was pleased that they did come out whereas the other company kept telling me that they have people snowed out and that they have frozen roads.I was happy that they came out the day I called. They told me that the reason for the flood was that my neighbor's roots had broken through the Terracotta drain pipe. The roots were in the sewage line. I have to do a total repair from the house to the street of my sewer line. The pipe has to be replaced. They charged a decent price for what they had to do. He took the camera and showed me what the problem was which was great. The people who came for the clean-up of my basement as well as sanitizing my basement, they were also able to see it. They were a witness to it. He was very neat and courteous. He explained everything to make sure I understood what he was saying. He was very professional. He made phone calls to the office. Everything was there. I didn't feel like I was being played.

They showed up with only an 8 foot snake to clear it and now it is two weeks later and the issue is back. I suspect the problem is much lower and their snake was not long enough to reach.

There wasn't an issue with them snaking out the front drain. The issue was that they claimed that our septic system needed to be replaced and that it would cost $4000 for us to do so. They tried to get us to commit to doing that. We just recently found out that in the city of Philadelphia there is no septic systems at all and everything runs into the sewer system controlled by the city.

Service was great. Keith, the plumber, called before he arrived and came to our Philadelphia, PA home within the expected window. He explained what he needed to do and why and proceeded to fix the problem. When I asked about another issue, he said it was simply a nut that needed tightening. We've used Rotor Rooter before and have always been satisfied with them.

My hot water heater burst early one morning and I called Roto-Rooter right away. The people I spoke to on the phone were extremely curteous, and they had someone at my house within 2 hours of my phone call. While waiting I received 2 phone calls from them to tell me the status of the technician and when he would be there. The technician was extremely professional and curteous. It was very difficult to get my old hot water heater out of my house because there was nowhere to drain it before taking it up the stairs and out the front door (there is no utlity sink in my basement, no windows that open, and no door) but he did an excellent job, only getting a tiny amount of water on my carpet. He was very up front with me that this was not going to be cheap, but I didn't expect it to be. It was expensive, BUT I would absolutely use them again because I felt that the service provided was worth the price. I have used Roto-Rooter several times but they always do quality work and I have never had a problem. I also like that they can get someone out very quickly. They take credit cards too which is a big plus. The job took about 6 hours from start to finish, which again the technician was very up front with me about.

They were great. When it happened, I was reckless; I was having 13 people for dinner about to arrive. It went okay. They plumber who came was a little bit younger and he works really hard for 2 to 3 hours but he could not get it. So today, they sent a more seasoned plumber and we are all back in business. He was really excellent. The fellow who came on Saturday was similarly great.

We live in a very old house. Our cellar is a smelly dirty place. I almost never go down there. A young man came out to do the work. He was pleasant and efficient. I apologized to him because he had to work in my awful cellar and he cheerfully said it was all just part of the job. I called the company later to say how wonderful he was. If I had anything even slightly negative to say is they were a little pricey (I think it was about $380 after the use of a coupon). I discovered after the young man left that I hadn`t used a $40 coupon and called the company and they were happy to rectify the situation. I would definitely use them again.

Very smooth, did extra effort at no extra charge

Very well. Because the fixtures were so old, we could not completely shut the water off when the faucet stopped working, so we had a constant drip of s rather high volume. Roto Rooter was very responsive in terms of sending someone out quickly and the plumber they sent -- Brydell -- was very capable and a very nice person. I would request him again if the need arises. The work was a bit pricier than I was expecting, but I haven't used a plumber lately and the service was on a Saturday, so perhaps this is the going rate in Fairfield County.

They are a 24 hour service. For the most part they are professional and on time when they come out. The basement ended up backing up again, but we don't live in that house any longer, so I don't know if there have been any other issues.
