Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

They did a really good job, but was a little expensive.

Place a service request evening of 8/7/15 after trying to self clear a kitchen drain. Kit arrived the following morning on a Saturday shortly after 9:00 AM with a preceding phone call to note he was in route. He was VERY courteous, VERY neat and clean in a uniform. VERY respectful. Reviewed the steps I had already performed (clearing trap and trying compressed air) and looked over the piping layout including the crawl space. Disassembled the trap to wall connections, used his 3/8" mechanical snake and ran it around 30' of pipe and 4 elbows. Reassembled piping connections under sink and inspected for leaks for 5 - 10 minutes. Wiped up all work areas and remnoved his own trash. I want to highly recommend this technician, Kit for any future drain needs,

Harry responded quickly on a Thursday evening before July 4th holiday. He quickly analyzed the situation and unplugged the drain. He was careful to not create additional problems and kept the work area as clean as possible

They were here within two hours after we called. They got the job done quickly and explained what was needed to keep it clear. The price for any plumbing is generally a shock, as the $385 for clearing one drain was this time.

Leak occurred Sunday morning. Called 9am and was told technician was available and was expected 10am. At 1pm, called them back and was told that earlier appointments had taken much longer than expected, and they would let me know status again at 2:30. At that point I asked the scheduler if I could be scheduled to be a technician's first visit Monday morning. The scheduler confirmed, so we made the appointment and I rescheduled work activities. By 10:30 Monday, the tech had still not arrived or called, and I called the dispatcher, only to learn that the technician had gone to another appointment first, and it has once again run long. Eventually the technician arrived at about 1pm. While the scheduling and dispatch were unacceptable, the technician was professional, knowledgeable, and charged a fair price. I was given a 10% discount on the services due to the scheduling issue. This experience differed from my prior experiences with root rooter for drain issues - those services have all been prompt and responsive. My understanding is this is because R-R has many techs for drain issues, but only a few for repairs. While the service and price were satisfactory, I probably would not use R-R for a repair service in the future. Good for drain services, though

He called before arrival and came on time. The issue of the leak was resolved by placement of a new more up to date faucet. I am very pleased.

The service tech was great. He seemed to know his job well and tackled the task as expected of a pro. End result was a cleared drain. He worked about an 1 hour and cleaned up after he was done. We are very pleased with the service he provided. Also, the initial call was handled promptly and the tech arrived only hours after the initial call. Couldn't have worked out any better for us (except better price). But overall, excellent from end-to-end.

Jemal came out very quickly after we made the initial call. (like 20 minutes) He was very knowledgeable and very professional. He offered some tips to keep my garbage disposal in good working order. I would certainly use Roto-Rooter again if I need to.

They were able to complete the job for the price quoted on the same day as I called for service. The representative sent was kind, polite, clean. and fast. I need more work done and I am considering them for the job.

They arrived within one hour of the call. Quickly diagnosed what the problem was through a process of elimination. The toilet was plugged and the sink on the same line wasn't draining either. Came up with a solution and quoted me a price, which I thought was a little high but they were responsive and professional. Did the work within an hour, which involved removing the toilet and re installing it. Everything is working again.

I contacted Roto-Rooter on a Saturday morning for what I thought was a clogged exterior sewer drain. Sewage had begun to flow out of the clean-out pipe in our front lawn. Roto-Rooter was the only company I called that could get out to my property on such short notice, as well as the only company that didn't charge for a service call if they couldn't resolve the issue. The first technician arrived and attempted to snake out the drain, with no success. After multiple attempts, as well as breaking off a chunk of the pipe, he decided to ask dispatch to call another tech to come clear the line. He then left without fixing the broken pipe! The second tech arrived hours later and also attempted to clear the drain with a pipe snake, with no success. At this point most of the water in the drain had subsided and the tech could see rocks at the bottom of the clean-out pipe, which indicated that there was damage to the pipe and/or trap in the sewer line. I have no way to tell if that damage was caused by the forceful attempts at unclogging the drain, or if it existed beforehand, but the issue now appears to require digging up the surrounding area and replacing the damaged pipe. My original quote of $385 to clear the drain (which I wasn't required to pay since the issue was unresolved) was now estimated to be a $4,500 repair on a 4 foot clean-out pipe. Both techs were courteous and professional, however I was taken aback by the unexpected cost of the repair, and chose to get additional estimates before proceeding with the job. My overall B rating was a result of the high cost of the repair (quoted by someone who wasn't even onsite to evaluate) and the fact that the first tech broke off a portion of the pipe without repairing it.

It went very well. Explained and showed me the problem, had the parts in his truck and performed the service right then.

Called Roto-Rooter for because I had a leaking Pipe in my basement. They arrived in 1 hour and were very knowledgeable and friendly.I won several properties I have used them on, I will call again when I need them.

John - Tech #1179 _- came out within an hour. He was very nice and professional. John answered all our questions and made us feel confident that the problem could and would be fixed. It was a very cold evening and he had to access the pipe under the house through the basement. John did not complain about anything - as some plumbers in the past have - about crawling through the crawlspace. I think he was there over an hour. I will continue to use Rotor-Rooter.

No issues, was in and out and fixed the problem very quickly. Professional and nice and quick.

Main desk was very polite and arrangements were made immediately. Arrived within the hour along with a trainee. Brought out the power auger and had it cleared in minutes through the cleanout at the tank. Stuck a camera in the pipe and found the pitch was improper. Got a quote to fix for ~$4K. We will most likely do this when the weather is warmer and AFTER we obtain other quotes. The only complaint we have is this service was very expensive for normal business hours; I would have guessed half. At least they honored a $40 coupon I found on their website. In an absolute emergency would use again, but would make a couple of calls to cut the expense if time allowed.

Sorry that I was away on business and have not had time to address your request. Yes I did use Roto-Rooter and signed documents to do so on Sept. 28, 2014. Everything referenced in this review is supported by documentation and pictures and I will never have these people set foot on my property again as follows: 1.When my problem was analyzed as a plugged sewer line by their mechanic I was scheduled to have 80 ft. of sewer line replaced. The mechanic told me that besides the clogs in the clean-out vent next to the house and the clean-out vent down near the road that there were multiple cracks and possible clogs between the house and the lower clean-out vent. Thus the need to replace 80 feet of PVC pipe. He also assured me that when the job was finished that every rock would be put back in place. 2. Note-There was no mention on the document that I would be responsible for putting the landscaping back in place. This came to light with the second document that they had me sign on Oct. 3rd after their repair crew started work. 3. This was a ?catch 22? affair as I only signed their document #2 as I thought that I had missed something in the original document #1. Upon checking further I find that I did not as my responsibility for the landscaping was not specifically noted on the original. Plus my family had already been in a hotel for a week. 4.The next ?catch 22? came when the crew told me the new 80? pipe was not needed. Yet the original mechanic said it was because of other clogs and cracks in the line. We paid $7800 which was to include the new line and did not get it. What we got was a 6-10? patch of PVC pipe just outside of the house-the destruction of our water feature that had been designed & built by a noted landscape architect for almost $20,000-along with breaking our dogs? silent fence and a water line in two places-left debris on the ground or just shoved it aside-even their trash. In addition the crew was very busy playing grab a** at my expense. 5.. In addition to the above my local yardman put the landscape back in place without the water feature at a cost of almost $2,000 & cleaned-up the mess that Roto-Rooter left and raked & reseeded the lawn areas that needed same. 6. As for the silent fence they said that they fixed it. Well they did not and the alarm went off a few days later and the Silent Fence people came and undid what Roto-Rooter did at a cost was $158.00.. I reached out to two of Roto-Rooter?s regional offices with no response or action. Finally I got the manager of the office that performed the work and he gave me a token refund of $1,.000. Isn't that great?

The technician showed up within half an hour. He listened to the history of the problem and the methods we used to try & fix the blockage. He worked on snaking out the pipe - he had to do it numerous time - always reassuring he would get it resolved. I think he might have been here an hour. He was very polite and knowledgeable. I couldn't read his name on the receipt It began with an S. The four or five times I've had Roto Rooter out over the past 13 years for various issues, I have been very pleased.

Our sewer line was backed up. Our technician Mike provided excellent service and fixed our problem. He recommended getting our sewer line and piping replaced at some point due to the roots in our pipes. He was professional and courteous. I take his recommendation seriously and may consider it in the future.

Excellent service. Steve from Roto-rooter went out of his way to explain each issue and went the extra mile in order to get the repair done. I always contact Roto-rooter for my plumbing issues. It is simple to Schedule them on-line & they are always on time and do an excellent job.

Our experience was fine. They did it in one day. The only thing is it was a little bit expensive.

They are always available and always out within a couple hours of calling when it's an emergency. I heard noises from my utility room and went to investigate and saw that my hot water line was streaming out at a valve located right above my electrical box. I shut off the house water and called, they were out within an hour and the tech repaired/replaced the valve. He then called a electrician friend who came out immediately and took care of the wet box. I've been using Roto-Rooter for years and will continue to do so. There price may be a little high but it's worth it for the response and professionalism they convey.
