Description of Work: We had a plumbing emergency with our kitchen drain pipe bursting and leaking all over our finished basement. It was Christmas Eve and we had a party planned for that afternoon. Called several places (one other had us waiting for hours then cancelled) and only Roto Rooter could make it. There was a delay in the time of arrival, but the plumber was excellent and finished a slightly complicated job (since the pipe was hidden in a tight spot) in a few hours. They saved us by getting there and doing a great job on a holiday.

Description of Work: Unclogged the drain from the yard and replaced a section of pipe that had bust open in the basement.

Description of Work: Using pipe blasting technique the main sewer pipe from house to street was replaced with minimal lawn damage (the main line was completely blocked by tree roots and we were getting constant backups necessitating line replacement) This method cost 1/2 the amount quoted on replacing by digging up the front lawn. The crew was outstanding . I'm not sure if the crew was from Camden or Philadelphia from the 800 # we called.

Description of Work: Called on Christmas morning because our plumbing system backed up and was overflowing onto the lawn and into our basement. They were here by 1pm and fixed the blockage problem. Even provided a camera viewing of the object that was blocking the sewer drain for no extra charge and then gave me a 6 month warranty on their services. Apparently a rag was blocking the sewer drain between the house and public sewer line. Did not clean up the toilet paper that overflowed or the toilet water that leaked all over the basement but I was happy the drain was fixed and Christmas day could proceed since I had 7 guests coming over the next day.

Description of Work: I had Roto-rooter out to do the following: auger (snake) out a clogged toilet and replace a wax seal that had been blown out by too much plunging. I had concerns from a previous plumber about the condition of the toilet flange and the cast iron drain line under the toilet. The plumber from Roto-rooter essentially told me the prior plumber was making a few things up. Of course, I made the mistake of mentioning that I might want to redo the bathroom with that fellow. So I'm pleased. The cost is a bit high, but I've yet to find a plumbing service involving the toilet that I thought had a reasonable cost. Must have something to do with toilets. :) There's a reason folks would rather pay someone to work on them.

Description of Work: I had a gas valve installed. While the valve was installed, the actual installer for my stove said the gentleman installed a gas dryer hose , not a big enough hose for the stove. The stove installer searched his truck and found a suitable hose. I was disappointed with that based on the high price I paid. HE also put two rubber facets on my bathroom faucet and tightened up another bathroom shower head and removed some plastic part that was hindering the water from coming out. I think it took him a total of 45 minutes to do the jobs I paid the priced and used this site because I have been ripped off by so many SUPPOSEDLY BE licensed repairmen. I just wont use this company again. Please do not post my name.

Description of Work: We recently had a great deal of work done. Roto Rooter had to come out to our house on two different occasions to first replace the waste line from the house to the street and a month later from the back powder room to the front of the house where the other line was replaced. Jeremy was our tech and he was extremely proffesional and helpful each and every time they were on the premise. I will only call them again in the future.

Description of Work: I had a major under the house problem with my bathroom drain pipes. All were rotted out and depositing waste in the crawlspace. When RapidRooter came out to do a drain cleaning they discovered it, showed me pictures of the problem, and gave me an estimate. The team also gave me an estimate for the cleanup which I thought was reasonable!. They came out and worked all thru the day to clean out first, so the plumbers could get at the pipes.They finished this huge job in a day and a half...staying till 8 the first night, so they only had to finish up plumbing tasks the next day until noon!! Let me tell you about Jose, Danny, and Alex. They were 3 of the hadrest working, nicest, courteous guys you ever welcomed into your home. I am 57 and they were real nice guys...they explained what they were doing, and asked for permission EACH time they had to come into the living room to get at the bathroom for some work. Rapid Rooter is a great comapny to deal with. Their prices are not cheap but I would say reasonable which is great for today's standards!! I highly recommend them for small or huge jobs....like mine was!! Thanks Alex, Danny and Jose...and a shout out to Rick and Bo!!!!

Description of Work: I call when i need a difficult line unclogged...usually a main storm sewer or sanitary sewer line that is blocked. Their estimate includes whatever they need to do to get it cleared ---anything. I also use the on-line coupons for about $30 each time. For a tough clog they have always come through.

Description of Work: The sewer drain in our home was clogged. I called Rotor-Rooter and within an hour I had a know at my door. Accessing the problem and options, I was given an oral quote. On a side note, I rated the price above as N/A due to the fact that I did not get multiple estimate so I don't know if this was a reasonable cost. Honestly, I had no choice, it had to be done. The estimate was for $345 less the coupon that I was able to use that was listed on AngiesList. The whole job, including snaking the drain with a camera took about 2 hours.

Description of Work: Called at 8am and ETA11am. At 1pm still no plumber! Calling another plumber....Bah...The call center was wonderfully personable and did call at 10:30 to say it would be 11:30.
