NEED A TECH GUY

My laptop has been out of commission for over a week, no matter what I did it would shut itself down after a few minutes. I am a full time caretaker for my elderly mother and I rely heavily on my computer. Since it is difficult for her to get around at many locations the computer is my source to take care of many items and being without it really created a hardship. Chris went into my computer and did a complete scan, fixed items creating problems and removed items that weren't needed. He removed the virus protection program I was using and installed another. Since the scan showed 396 items the program I was using wasn't effective as I thought it was. Chris was professional, patient and explained what was happening and why things were happening. It was a totally painless experience. He had everything working in perfect order, I highly recommend Need A Tech Guy and the ever patient Chris.

I called Chris at "Need a Tech Guy" and he was able to walk me thru a solution on the phone. To my amazement, it worked. I'm grateful to Chris for his rapid response and solution.

'It was terrific. He spent at least an hour on my computer and simultaneously talking to me on the phone (i recommend a head set for the call). He works at lightening speed unchecking and deleting all of the junk that the manufacturer forced on you in and all the junk that comes with whatever you download. Those free programs are not really free. He then added some malware and virus protection software that runs unobtrusively. The machine now boots up quicker, shuts down quicker and loads programs quicker. I was just about to have to purchase a new antivirus subscription but he included one for free. He buys bulk licenses and includes it in the package of services he provides. One last thing. When i bought the package on Angie's List, i just didn't have the time to invest the hour with him. Then i was traveling on business for a couple of weeks. Chris would periodically touch base with me to see if i was available. He called me yesterday and I said, let's do it. I was quite anxious to get it done as my computer was so sluggish, but my time is tight. The point i am making is that he had the money. He could have ignored the situation until i woke up and contacted him but instead he periodically reminded me that he owed me an hour. I was very appreciative of his not letting this purchase slip down the drain.

Service was excellent. Tech Guy was responsive, on time and very thorough. He listened attentively to the issues I was having and helped with solutions. I would definitely use him again.

Very well- computer is much faster. Very patient nice person aslo.

He did a good job. I just wanted to cleanup my computer and he took out all of the junk. He seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. The price was fair.

After Chris had installed my upgraded services, and tested them to see that they worked, he then completely "tuned-up" my computer, got rid of stuff I didn't need that was eating up my memory, replaced my security software with a better anti-malware product--at no cost!--and then rearranged my desktop so I could get to all my needed and favorite sites at the click of an icon. He was so intelligent, so easy to talk to, and, unlike most tech guys, did not make me feel stupid! He did everything I needed within the hour I had booked him for, and more. I asked for his card, and you can bet that when I have any computer or internet issue, I will be giving him a call. He has a flexible schedule, and arrived promptly at the day/time I chose, and told me that an "after hours" call would be no problem. He was extremely polite, and even called me from his cell when he pulled up to my house, to ask if it was okay to park in my driveway! Really, I couldn't have asked for more courteous, professional, and expert service, and I am so relieved that I now have a reliable computer troubleshooter who is just a phone call away. I'm also so glad I took the deal; it was a steal, in the first place, and secondly, it acquainted me with one fantastic computer support professional. Call me one super satisfied customer.

It went exceptionally well. He was very understanding as well as patient when I had trouble logging on .My computer was infected with multiple viruses and had been hijacked. He worked with us for over 2 hours and was able to clean out the infections and my computer is back to its optimum speed and works great! I Highly recommend his service for all your computer needs. The phone would ring and they would hang up. So I contacted Angie’s List and they were able to reach this company. After this I tried to call again but never got through.

Great. Was contacted right after purchase and appointment date and time was set. Was sent like to download needed access software the day before. Was called on time. Tech was very nice, explained what he was doing, answered all my questions. although he was paid for only 1 hour stayed for an extra twenty minutes at no extra charge. In addition gave me an antivirus program for 18 months at no cost.

I had my appointment with Chris last week and he did an excellent job. My desktop was acting up and I was worried that it had a virus, plus I?d been having issues with Word and Excel documents with Virtual Handler. All issues were resolved. Chris uploaded a malware search program and while that was running he proceeded to delete the bloat ware that comes with all PCs. The computer was free of malware and with the excess background programs/applications being removed, the computer runs much more smoothly and quickly. The Virtual Handler issue was resolved easily and now the programs start right up. Chris is very professional and knowledgeable, and when we had to delete and reinstall iTunes, he took the extra time to do it and make sure it worked (although there is still an issue with it which was a mystery to us, it would have taken much more time to figure out and it?s working). I would definitely use his services again, I highly recommend him.

I liked him. He was punctual, responsive, professional, and easy to work with. He understood my problems and actually found more problems than I even knew about. He was here rushing to try and finish within the hour because I had only paid for an hour. He didn't stay for any extra time, but he printed me a list of things I needed to do after he left. The gentleman was very helpful and professional. His ability to improve my PC performance was limited but he diagnosed my issue as too little RAM so I added RAM.

Fine He spent more time than the agreement called for; seemed very professional and quite knowledgeable. Informative. Worked hard. Installed fresh virus protection. In the end, he gave the system a clean bill of health. I was hoping that some of the problems with the computer (speed, especially) would be reversed. The improvements were modest, but that was not what his service was about. He did what was agreed on and he did it well.

The technician was very professional and took care of the virus on my laptop and cleaned it up so it runs faster. I would use this service again.

This is the first time I tried any on-line tech support where I was paying. Chris missed the original appointment but called later that night to explain what happened (flat tire). Things happen so we rescheduled and he was actually a little early. I had to preload some software on my computer the day before to allow Chris to get on-line. Chris got on-line and started to clean up my computer talking me through everything he was doing. He removed alot of programs that I never used or were just junk files on the computer. He then went on to do a virus check and found a few issues which he also corrected. All these things do take alot more time than you think so the hour moves along. He then tried to install some virus software he uses but was unable to do so due to some other issues on my computer. By this time he was already 45 minutes over the 1 hour I paid for so he had to call it quits. He really didn't mention anything about being over the 1 hr timeline under we got around 40 minutes of so. He was not clock watching and was really interested in fixing the problem. He seemed more upset that he couldn't get everything resolved then anything to do with the extra time. Afterwards my computer was running better for some applications but there are still some issues that need to be resolved. Chris did his best in the alloted time he had so I can't blame him for not being able to resolve a bigger than anticipated problem entirely. There are some limitations with the on-line service support but you are also not paying $80/hr fee and having to drop off your computer someplace. At this point since I still have issues and did try the on-line support once, I may have to bring this to a real shop to have it looked at. You are limited by the internet as far as loading programs and not being able to use programs on USB sticks or disks to load directly in your PC. I would probably use Chris again in the future. Everything else about the service was "A" but since the problem was not resolved I had to give a final score of "B" due to that fact only. I was forced to change another catagory to a "B" to allow an overall "B" score....so I just selected Quality.
