NEED A TECH GUY

I had crashed my operating system trying to reset it. I called on a Friday afternoon at 5 pm expecting to leave a voicemail. The owner Chris answered and within an hour came to my house and picked up the laptop. 2-1/2 hours later he is back and the issues are resolved. Great service and a really fair price. I would use him again and recommend without hesitation.

Chris was outstanding in understanding my problem and fixing it in less than one day. He diagnosed the problem immediately, and not only fixed it, but upgraded my hard drive and memory so the computer works better than new. Chris is very knowledgeable, personable and fair. I strongly recommend him to anyone having computer issues. This is the second time I have used him (he fixed my desk top a few years ago), and he is the best (and fast!).

Chris used my old drive in which he totally reinstalled the operating system to save money but will replace it with a larger drive when prices come down which I agreed to. Everything is working well. Chris is very knowledgable about computers and works quickly.

I called Chris on the morning of June 29 and he was able to come to my house to get the computer up and running that afternoon. Throughout the set up he explained the whole process thoroughly and answered all of my questions. Two hours later I was on-line. I will certainly use him again and have no reservations in recommending him.

Every time I phone Chris he returns my calls in a timely manner. Today he accessed my computer remotely to solve a problem. He spent time explaining why the problem occurred and what he needed to do to remedy the situation. What I like about Chris is the fact that no problem is too small that he is not willing to address it. In addition, I have absolute trust in Chris when he remotely accesses my computer.

I finally ordered the new laptop from Chris in early March and he had it for me within a week. He came to my house and set it up so that everything that was on my old computer was on the new one. It was a seamless transition. He also gave me a backup drive with everything from my old computer including my 4,000+ pictures and music. Another great feature of Chris' service is that if I do have issues in the future, he can access my laptop remotely and take care of the problem. I would highly recommend Chris for his expertise, his professionalism and his one-to-one service.

Returned the computer to me within a few hours and now all is well. I had a few questions in the following days and he was nice enough to use the remote app to help me address the issues that had nothing to do with the repair. He is a nice guy that knows computers and software. He is truly a keeper!

Chris was awesome! He was very prompt and able to fit me in less then 24 hours from when I called. Extremely helpful and diagnosed the problem instantly. He spent plenty of time with me educating me on how the network works and why he was setting up the system the way he was. He also made sure that every computer in the house was receiving internet. In addition he made suggestions on things we may want to do to update the system. Overall I couldn't be more thrilled with his professionalism and job he did. Strongly recommend

This review is a little lengthy therefore I will put the compliments at the beginning of the review for those of you that don't like details. Chris is professional, polite, fast, (he was at my computer for less than 5 minutes and my first problem was resolved. I had 2 problems), reasonable and I highly recommend him. If you are trying to decided who to use for your computer problems, I encourage you to use him. You won't be disappointed! Chris even taught me a few programs on my computer. He completed the work in less than 30 minutes. Now for the details.... We brought a computer and a service contract from Dell about one year ago. We than decided a few months later that we wanted dual monitors. We called Dell customer service and was on the phone for 2 hours only to be told we needed a gadget in order to make the dual monitor work. After ordering the gadget we contacted Dell again to assist with the set up. After one hour on the phone (now a total of 3 hours with Dell customer service) we became annoyed and decided to forgot about the idea of having dual monitors. A few weeks later my husband was playing around with the computer and was able to connect the dual monitor but the issue was they were mirroring each other and we were unable to click and drag from one monitor to the next. (Yes we check all the setting a number of times) A few days ago we decided to purchase a camera and was having an issue with not having audio. Again we contacted Dell customer service and the madness began all over again. We decided it was time to get another person to come out and assist. We contact the Geek Squad only to be told it would be 2 weeks before a Tech could come out. We continued the research and found a company in our area. We contacted Angie's list for a reference on the local tech and was told they were banned due to posting their own reviews. I than ask for 3 computer tech companies in my area. Angie customer service person read me the 3 company reviews and I decided to call Need A Tech guy. Boy was that the best decision ever!

Great! Chris is very knowledgeable about all pc products. And he is willing to help in anyway he can. Chris is efficient, on time (there are times he runs late because of a customer, but always let me know); neat and will stay until job is done. He can also assist via on line. I would recommend Chris highly.

Chris Picciotto responded to my first phone call. Was driving and said he'd call back in an hour. Spent a lot of time helping to fix my ailing laptop. Did a great job of explaining the systems and offered me options as we went through the process remotely. Definitely will use again. A great resource.

Great! Chrs is very knowledgeable, professional, listens and explained everything in a way that I understood. I'm very happy with the results. He corrected the system and solved all my problems. I recommended him to my friends and gave them his name and number. I'll definitely contact him again. BTW, my system is old and hadn't been looked at for some time. He literally 'cleaned it up.'

Better than I could have ever imagined. I sent Chris an e-mail; he called me within 5 minutes (on a Sunday!) and stopped by the next day even though I assured him it was not an emergency. He suggested replacing the hard drive on my current laptop with a new, state-of-the-art hard drive which was a fraction of the cost of a new laptop. He also offered that if I was not satisfied he would take the hard drive back and not charge me for it. He did the work in less than a day. My computer is running better -- by a lot -- than when it was new, and Chris migrated all the info from my old hard drive to my new one. I have been using the improved computer for a week and cannot believe how fast and well it is functioning. He exceeded all my expectations.

Wonderful - such an easy person to interact with, even when not sure how to describe the problem (not speak tech lingo!). I was quickly put as easy and his ability to remotely work the problem had the solution discovered and applied quickly and simply. I would call him again without hesitation. The fee was surprisingly reasonable and easy to afford.

After reading Chris' reviews on Angie's list ,and talking to him on the phone, I was convinced he knew a lot about computers. He recovered my info and did everything I stated above in a 24 hour period. He is a knowledgeable and true professional. His effort and skill in recovering my info from my damaged hard drive was amazing! He then talked me through the process I needed to follow in order to get everything running properly once I took the computer home. I am not a techie, yet he explained things in a way I could understand. Chris is truly a talented guy and I would highly recommend him without reservation. It's a little scary handing your computer to a stranger, but through my experience, I believe that Chris is a guy you can trust. Use his services and you'll be as satisfied as I was.

This is not my first time using Needatechguy.com. Chris has done computer repair in my home as well as remotely. He has always been flexible and responsive and listens politely to my totally layperson's description of problems without laughing at me! Recently he worked tirelessly on a particularly stubborn problem until he found the solution and his charge was more than reasonable given the amount of contact we had.

I found Chris through Angie's List several years ago and he has become my "go to" computer guy whenever I have computer issues. He is courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. He returns phone messages within an hour or two the same day. He always seems to be available whenever I need his help. Most recently I called Chris because my computer was "acting strange." It was fortunate that I called because the hard drive was on the verge of crashing and I would have lost all my data. He was able to repair it within one day and save everything. I have recommended Chris to some of my friends and everyone has been more than pleased. His prices are very fair, always lower than other computer services I had used previously. I can't say enough good things about Chris, except that if you need IT help, you are in excellent hands with Chris!!

I think this is the best $59 I ever spent. I have been unable to use my laptop for quite some time due to viruses. Chris at Need a Tech Guy was very responsive, punctual, pleasant and professional. The deal I purchased was for one hour worth of services and Chris stayed on the job for two hours and would not accept an additional fee. My laptop is working like a charm again - and I was about to trash it and purchase a new one. Glad I tried Need A Tech Guy first. I can't enough good things about this experience or this provider. I will definitely be recommending Need A Tech Guy to friends and family.

It was fine. There were no additional fees. He seemed to know what he was doing. He worked hard doing it. It gave me some amount of improvement but nothing fantastic. His knowledge of what he was doing stood out.

Chris found the problem immediately and was able to fix it right away as well as cleanup my pc. He explained what he was doing and answered all my questions. He offered me some advise on how to maintain my pc as it is 10yrs. old. He was prompt, gave me his business card right away and went to work straight away. I would highly recommend NEED A TECH GUY....
