Dave was on time. Very polite. Very good at his job and very neat and tidy which is scored a lot of points with my wife and I. Also offered us some very good advice which we will pursue and get him back to execute. Job was completed on time and pricing was very reasonable. We hope to have Dave do all our plumbing and heating work in the future

Dave ran a gas line from my basement up to my deck to power my grill. He was right on time, very courteous, professional, and a super nice guy. He went over the job and gave me an estimate, I agreed on the price and he got started right away. The whole job took a few hours and his work looks great. He informed me about the town permit process and walked me through it. I would absolutely use him again.

He was Vey professional, prompt, neat and friendly. Dave also spotted a problem with a badly dripping Bath faucet and completely replaced it before it became a big problem. He is very trustworthy and i'm very glad to have found him.

Dave was recommended to us by a neighbor, who really liked his work. On the first visit, to install the sink hardware and fix the toilet, he found that some of the parts to the sink hardware that we had gotten were missing. He had substitute parts on hand, and was able to complete the installation. In both cases, he did a very neat and high quality job, and his price is very fair. Also on this visit, he noted that our water pressure was very low when the toilet is flushed, or when water is running. He took a look in our basement, and found that a combination of metals was used in the water pipe system, and corroded pipes were probably the cause of the low pressure. He gave us a quote for replacing the steel pipes, and indicated that the town would have to turn the water off at the mains outside, but he could coordinate that.
We decided to go ahead with this job. Dave scheduled the town crew to perform the mains procedure, and everyone turned up on time (8 am). After the pipes were installed, he arranged for the water turn-on, and did a complete series of water pressure tests. He was exactly right - you could barely see any light at the end of the corroded pipes, and our water pressure is now "normal" for the first time since we've lived in the house.
Finally, he replaced the plumbing under our kitchen sink, which was also weak, leaky, and corroded, and again did a great job.
Besides the quality of his work, he is very personable, and made friends with our dogs (our dogs also liked him!).

Dave came to do some heating work. I asked him to look at a plumbing issue that turned out to be a big job. He was extremely helpful, respectful, hard working, honest and fair. We could not ask for anything more. He took care of a leak before it turned into a disaster.
We are very, very grateful that he was willing to spend the time to deal with the problem today, even though it was not the main problem that we called him for.

Dave is an excellent plummer and easy to work with. He is very thorough and explains everything and made several helpful suggestions like making sure I run water in all my sinks so the water in the trap doesn't evaporate. Dave also showed me how to flush out the hot water heater and left me a small hose to use. He made a suggestion to replace the leaky washer faucets with a single lever valve which is much easier to use now. He also discovered a potential future disaster in a rotting out pipe under the sink shut off valve which was leaking into the wall and could have burst at any time.
I am very lucky to have found Dave as my plummer and would highly recommend him.

He was great. He has come for a couple of big emergencies. He is prompt and he attends to things right away. He is efficient and so he lets you know. It costs so much for him to come out so if he can bundle some projects up he prefers to do that and save you some money instead of paying him every single time he comes out. I would definitely recommend him.

Dave was easy to reach, he came out exactly when he said he would and he took a very messy job and took care of it with care. He gave us options (to replace the failed pump or both pumps) and helped us make an informed decision on the best solution. I actually price shopped the parts and found that in addition to being fair on his hours, he was very reasonable on the charge for the parts that he was running all over the place to acquire. He worked CLEAN, and timely and he's been our go-to plumber ever since. A+++++

Our sump pump, which seldom needs to operate, did not operate correctly during our last 3" rain event. As a result, water entered our family room and made our laminate floor a true "floating" floor. With another big rain storm on the way I called and left a message for Dave. By the time I got home from work he had called and made an appointment for the day I needed. He arrived on time, worked clean, and left 2 hours later, confident that the new pump would take care of the problem.
Update: Hurricane Irene's 8.5 inches of rain were no match for the new sump pump. Family Room stayed dry as a bone!

My wife and I just took poseession of a 26 yr old condo that needed some repairs and updates. We contacted him, he came when expected, and gave an accurate estimate. I highly recommend Dave and will use him again for any future plumbing issues I have. He returned my calls quickly, showed up exactly on time and fixed all my issues perfectly. I called him based on previous positive reports here on Angie's List. I left a message at his office and he returned my call before the end of the day. I asked him to come the following Monday. He told me I would be his second appointment and he would call as soon as the first one was over. He called right when he said he would and arrived at my house shortly afterwards. He quickly diagnosed the issue with my sink drain and swapped out the faulty part. He then asked if there were other concerns or issues that I had. I had him fix two other nagging leaks (a shower and an outdoor spigot), which he also did pretty quickly. When he fixed the outdoor faucet, I noticed the underground line running to it must have cracked as I now had water leaking from the center of my lawn. We dug up the spot and Dave resoldered the pipe to fix the leak. He looked at my boiler and a few other things just to point out some issues for me to keep my eye on, without pressuring me into letting him fix them. From beginning to end, he was at my house for about 2 hours. I'd say he got a lot done in that time. The price I listed included several parts for the sink, shower and outdoor spigot. Here's the greatest thing in my opinion. I had the work done in August and Dave promised to call me in the fall to remind me to turn off the outdoor spigots. Sure enough, one day in October I came home and there was a message on the answering machine from Dave just as promised. That demonstrated an attention to detail and customer service that I really appreciated.

We own a 100 yr-old home with pipes which are are not that much younger. Therefore, you never know what you're getting yourself into until you start exploring... We detected a leak in ceiling above bathroom. Many folks on Angie's List had positive reviews about Dave Harvey and I understand why. Upon calling, Dave was very quick to respond. He arrived early the next morning and immediately began working. He quickly assessed and clearly explained the situation, identified what would be required to resolve the issue, and worked non-stop until it was fixed. We also noticed a cracked cast iron hub on the main line to sewer. Replacing it would likely be a costly endeavor, so he suggested an alternative solution. Having employed many contractors over the years, Dave struck me as honest, dependable, reasonable, and friendly. I would definitely recommend him.

From start to finish Dave was 100% helpful and clear about how much everything would cost. He actually arrived at our house thinking he was just going to replace a sump pump, but we loaded on a lot of other jobs that he was happy to do in the same visit. He was very flexible in being able to add these other jobs into his visit. He was done in less than 4 hours. We have used other plumbers and by far Dave was the most professional and genuine plumber that we have had. He is now our default plumber. Highly recommended.

He's terrific. He's very prompt in his response. If you call him he will call you back in the same day. He will come at his earliest convenience. Last fall he came out and really worked out a nasty problem for me without effort. Dave always will be my plumber of choice and I highly recommend him to other people. He is dependable, professional and very innovative. Dave finds solutions where other people would not even attempt fix it.

I contacted Dave yesterday (10/21) to see if I could schedule him for an estimate. Dave's schedule was full with the possible exception of some time today mid-morning/early afternoon. I took some time off of work to get some work done on the house. I contacted Dave again to see if some time had opened up. He had just finished a job and was at my house in less than 15 minutes. We looked at the job and talked for a bit (Dave is very personable and down to Earth) and went over my options. I decided to have the work done on the spot. He said it would take 2.5 - 3 hours to complete. Dave completed the task in 2 hours. The cost came in right at the estimate possibly even below since he gave me an approximate range due to some of the problem being buried under fill. I am extremely pleased with the experience and will be calling on Dave for my future plumbing needs.

Dave did not make a big deal out of it and does not charge for an estimate. That was not the case with some of the other plumbers I checked out. Price was reasonable and no surprises.
