Description of Work: The workman did all of the work that was indicated in the promotion. However, it did not result in any improvement to my garage door operation. I was hoping that maintenance would make them run more quietly but this did not occur. Had I known that there would have been no change in operating noise, I would not have had it done.

Description of Work: The technician was very thorough both in explanation and in services performed. He actually spent extra time trying to align the door with the ground when we both realized that it was the ground that was not level and not the door. Since the "deal" was for one door, he tried to sell me a package for my second garage door giving me a break in the price since he was already there. I really appreciated that but my budget would not permit it at that time and he indicated that since we already used the company, when we were ready perhaps the deal could still be viable. That was also appreciated. All in all I was very impressed with the technician, the company and the lifetime guarantee on their service.

Description of Work: They arrived right when promised and did an excellent job installing my new garage doors and openers. They work and look great and are very quiet. The installer was very professional and friendly and does very good work. I was disappointed at the salesman who told me I would be getting torsion springs but the installer arrived with regular springs and said he only had what they gave him. Everything works fine but I didn't like being misled by the salesman. They did offer to make it right and replace the springs with torsion springs but I passed on their offer. Get it all in writing is you use them. Other than that everything was very positive.

Description of Work: Bought the Angie's list Big Deal for Roller Replacement. Technician inspected all mechanisms and showed me 2 frayed cables no hard sell and I decided to have him replace them. Quick and Neat. I would use this company again.

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's list coupon for roller replacement and tune up. We ended up replacing all the springs, cables and pulleys on two single garage doors as well. I spent the $1050 because I thought I was working with a reputable, professional company. I now doubt the honesty and capability of this company. We bought the roller replacement and garage door tune up coupon because one of our doors was intermittently opening back up after it closed. When we greased the rails, it improved, but still happened sometimes. We thought maybe the wheels weren't rolling well and a tune up would fix it. Two weeks after being talked into a total garage door rebuild, the garage door started bouncing up again. I didn't call the company right away because I thought maybe I forgot to close it when I left and came home and found it open one day. So after carefully watching it, sure enough I saw it bouncing back up again. My husband was having surgery so it took me about a month before I was able to call the company to come back. They claimed the problem had nothing to do with their work. They turned the dial on my garage door motor and claimed it wasn't adjusted right. Then they wanted to charge me for a service call. I told them that they should have adjusted the dial when they did the "tune up". They claimed they did but since it was an "older" opener it will spontaneously change over time (one month since service). As someone with an electrical engineering degree from UCIrvine who designed circuits such as this, I can tell you that is false. They were informed at the initial visit of the problem I was having and trying to fix. They didn't fix it and never mentioned an issue with the motor. The only words out of their mouth should have been "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience". Their failure to fix the issue put my family and possesions at risk since the door was still bouncing back open when I wasn't aware of it. I never would have spent $1050 to not fix the problem. I thought I was done with my garage doors for the next 30 years. Only after I told them I was an Angie's list customer and was not happy did they agree to waive the service call fee. Guess what? It's still bouncing back up. So they don't have a clue how to fix this sort of problem. Don't call them.

Description of Work: Technician arrived at 5 pm (scheduled time was between noon and 4 pm). He was very informative and thorough. He replaced the rollers, checked and tightened bolts on all hinges, and lubricated all hinges. He also gave very helpful information about the condition of the door, the work he was doing, and future work that would be needed (the house is 50+ years old. The door opener and springs will need to be replaced because of age and wear ). .

Description of Work: Garage door maintenance. Walked in and immediately started an up sell. Ended up spending more than expected, but quality of work appears good and problem of "noisy" garage doors, loud enough to wake sleeping spouse up, was solved.

Description of Work: The garage door was bent and off the track. The cable was snapped. They were able to replace the cable and put it back on track, but the bent door issue could not be resolved.
