Vent Cleaning

It was a big deal purchase for $199. It was great. It was fine. They were very responsive. They called me to schedule an appointment and the guy who came at the door today was actually about an hour early which was nice. That doesn't happen often. He was pretty efficient, he was in and out of here in about forty-five minutes. They were on time, they cleaned up after themselves, and they were very courteous.

It took me a while to get an appointment. Once I got an appointment, they were pretty quick. Other than that, I think they did a pretty good job.

I bought the Angie's List coupon almost one (1) month ago, on January 26th. When I called the air-duct cleaning company their receptionist told me the technician could not come for one month ... not becasue they were backed up but becasue they didn't have any working vehicles, and the only one they had in Maryland was being repaired in a workshop in Pennsylvania. I then called Angie's List to get my money back so I could hire someone else for the job and was told by Tyler L. (wouldn't give me his full last name) that I won't get my money back for 2 weeks. His supervisor, Evan Wible, emailed me later and offered to find another company that would accept the AL coupon I had purchased, but he never did anything. So, to resolve matters, I decided to take the appointment the cleaning company was offereing for today (one month since my coupon purchase). However, when the technician came he didn't walk in with his equipment but a note pad (it was a prepaid job). He then told me that my house air-ducts were too dirty and he won't be able to clean with the pump he had. He told me to get my money back from Angie's List. It ws very clear to me that he never intended to do the job, and hence the reason for him coming in my house without the cleaning equipment. The technician was driving a rental van and would NOT give me his name, or show a business card, or company ID. Angie's List should be ashamed of itself for making its member(s) go through this nonsense, and waste our time, by offering services from companies that are so shady and unreliable. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks to get my money back from Angie's List so I can hire someone else for the air-duct cleaning!!

My first appointment was cancelled by me. They had called and asked me if I wanted to change because there was so much snow. They were concerned about my house and the dirt that might be brought in. I thought that was very considerate. Within 2 days, I was contacted and able to schedule the job within the week. The gentleman who arrived, came on time and could not have been nicer. He even offered to take off his shoes before he walked around. There was not wasted time at all - he did a quick review to select the vent for the vaccum and went to work. He checked with me to make sure that he had reached all the vents for the compressed air blowout. Throughout the entire time he was here, he was polite, professional and just plain nice. The job was completed in the time frame estimated. It was a very, very positive experience.

The guy was really friendly and nice. He walked my husband through it. He showed him how dirty it was, and how clean it was. My husband was thrilled with the guy. The deal we took was for $199, but we had two separate units, so my husband said that he cleaned the units and not just the ductwork, and he charged extra for the vent. My husband seemed to be pretty pleased with the guy. He came and saw the units, he recommended to cleaning the unit themselves and then he took some extra charge for the vent. They take cash so my husband had to go to the bank, as I think they do not have the credit card system.

I've never really used a vent cleaning service before so I have really no means to compare them with anybody else. I basically think I have paid too much for the paltry service that was provided so I probably would not use it again. I found that pricing was too high relative to the service that was provided.

Technician was very professional and answered all my questions.

They came in pretty quickly and did a good job. The person they sent was very personable and very nice. They gave me a discounted price.

I contacted them after purchasing the deal and scheduled and appointment for them to come out. The guy called me back and gave me several reasons why he wouldn't be able to come out. He said he would give me a call back in a day or two and its been a week without hearing from them. I really feel like they just didn't want to do the job. I contacted Angie's List for a refund.

I asked him how long it will take him to clean the vent, he said it will take him 3-4 hours. But during the work it took him barely an hour. I don't think he did a great job. I'm not so sure. I will not use them again.

He was supposed to sanitize the vents but I am not sure he did; I think he just blew them out. I don't want to hurt his business, but they really did not do what they said they were going to do. The technician who came out was a very nice young man; he was clean, neat and orderly. He did not dawdle, or make a mess; he cleaned up after himself very well. He did a very nice job; if it was just vent cleaning I would have given him a rave review. They got in touch with me quite a few times to make sure the appointment was right and to make sure they were going to be able to be here on time; they were on top of things there.

I tried to take advantage of a Angie's list Big Deal for a chimney sweep for $74.50. I purchased the Big Deal at the end of December 2012. I received a prompt email from promising a phone call to book the appointment after the holidays. I contacted the Vent Cleaning Company during the 2nd week of January after not receiving a call from them. While I was booking the appointment I found out that I had missed the " fine print" that indicated that the Big Deal was for the cleaning of the first 10 feet of chimney. I was told that it would cost me more than triple the cost of the Big Deal to get my approx. 30 feet of chimney cleaned. The first available appointments were in February, I booked an appointment for 9am -11am on 2/12. I was contacted by the Vent Cleaning Co. with the offer of a earlier appointment toward the end of January which I declined. I was contacted one more time approx. 2 weeks before the appointment looking to change the appointment time to 11am - 1 pm which I agreed to. I contacted the Vent Cleaning Co. on 2/12 at noon time to confirm that a technician was still coming. I was informed that due to a mechanical breakdown of their van that they were not going to be able to keep the appointment and wanted to reschedule. The Vent Cleaning Co. said that they had left a message the day before indicating that they were going to need to reschedule . I did find their message on my voicemail. I chose not to reschedule the appointment and am seeking a refund through Angie's List.

They were very professional, accommodating and delicate. They came and did what they had to do. They left with no mess. "No muss, no fuss". They did a very good job to ensure he didn't mess up any furniture or anything when he moved things around. He was right on time when he said he would. They are good people and are easy to work with. It is easy to reschedule.

Fine I guess, since I have two systems and 3 zones, Since coupon was one only one & I had no intention of spending $500 more .. I got service what I paid for ..

I had initially signed up for a $200 duct cleaning. Adding blower cleaning, Which I am not sure I needed, and dryer vent cleaning added an additional $200 but the service was fast, efficient and fairly thorough.

Vent Cleaning called me to set up an appointment and were very flexible in arranging a time that was convenient for me. They called the day before to reconfirm the appointment and called the morning of the appointment to see if it was okay if they came a bit early. He was very professional and neat. The whole process took only about an hour. It was everything I was hoping for from the service.

It went well. I am satisfied so far.

Scheduling was very accommodating. Scheduler called several times to let me know there was a time change but they were on track to be at my home. They asked if the time change was ok with us and were willing to work with us in anyway to accommodate our schedule. The technician arrived earlier than anticipated, was very courteous, explained the whole process, showed us results and was neat and clean while doing the work. The process took less time than I anticipated with little disruption to our home. I would recommend this company.

He could not do the service; it may have been because we are on the 11th floor. They made to a bit difficult on the service.

It was a good experience. The Company was thorough, the workers were clean, professional and did a good job.

I received a call from the company on the same day I purchased the air duct cleaning deal and was promptly given an appointment date. Mike called on the day of the appointment and gave me an option to change my appointment date as it had snowed. He was concerned that coming in and out of the house would cause a mess because of the snow. Appointment was kept and he arrived promptly and was courteous. He inspected the furnace and offered a deal for motor cleaning as it was dirty. The whole process took about an hour without causing any mess. Based on prior experience, service provided was good for the price I paid. A more thorough cleaning (removal of each vent cover to vacuum each vent) cost a lot more and takes a lot longer.

The experience was good. They showed up on time. The cost in my opinion is overpriced. He cleans your blower for $200 but it took them 15 minutes only. I guess he has other project so he's a little wreckless and chipped on my teeth. He barge my attention too he did not act like it did not happened and he was sorry.

I called them right after purchasing the coupon. I understand that sometimes scheduling may be hard with he deals (and companies can get overwhelmed), but I have a pretty flexible schedule. We set up the appointment for 1/29 and I changed my schedule around so I would be home. They didn't arrive at scheduled time and didn't call, either. I called them trying to track them down and they wanted to rescheduled for later, which it turns out that they were not able to make that appointment, either. They asked if I would be able to rescheduled in 3 weeks! They were not professional during the entire process of dealing with them. There was also an issue that I bought 2 coupons (I have 2 furnaces) and that they wouldn't honor the second one.

I ended up getting a refund for the Big Deal because they don't have the equipment necessary to clean the vents in my home. I have no complaints, as they were very professional, and extremely apologetic. They also explored several options before determining that it would not work.

Overall the work they did was a quality work
