This guy is arrogant and I would avoid him for two reasons. First, we recently made an appointment with Morton for a roof inspection and estimate and he did not even show up. He called to apologize and reschedule four days later but even then he was rude. Because he didn't have the professionalism to show for the first estimate I wanted to know, if he was going to come and climb on my roof, what time he would be here. His response: "I can't tell you that. This isn't a social call." Yes, he said that. This was my second dealing with Ken Morton. We hired him to fix the flashing around the chimney about ten years ago but the section he was hired to fix has been leaking now for years and that leak has caused mold to form and hastened the demise of the roof. We were recently told by other roofing contractors that Morton's work on the flashing was done improperly and his work actually made the roof leak worse.

We are very pleased with the job that was done by Ken Morton Co. His workers were very prompt, arriving at 7 a. m. on Thursday, 7/26/12 as promised. They worked very hard, did the prep., such as covering windows, bushes and other items that needed to be covered. The workers and supervisor were very courteous and pleasant. They worked steadily, stopping only for lunch although we weren't there when they ate. We did give them plenty of water because it was 95 or so degrees outside. They completed their day's work on Thursday approximately 5:30 or 6 p. m. The next day they arrived at 7 a. m. and again worked till they were finished which was about 4 p. m. They didn't have as much to do that day, but they worked very hard. They cleaned up any debris as promptly as possible with which we were pleased. At the end of their work here, they took all of their equipment, including the dumpster, made sure no more cleaning up had to be done.We made sure there was a portable bathroom they could use.As you can tell from my comments, we were very satisfied with Ken Morton & Co.

They seemed professional. It was probably more expensive than the others but they did the roof the right way. They did a really good job with it. Their clean up was really good.

Ken came out (April 27, 2012) and explained to us repair vs. replacement. When we asked for a number on replacing, he said he'd get back to us in a couple days -- that he does houses in our development all the time and had all the measurements at the office. A week went by and we called to find out where the proposal was (May 4, 2012). They called back to say there were going out of town and could they get back to me the following Monday or Tuesday and I said fine. Never heard another word. Clearly our money is not good enough for them. We hired another contractor and paid them cash -- $10,944.00.

He was excellent and he told me exactly what he was going to be doing. He explained exactly what time he would be here and told me exactly when the dumpster would come and everything ran perfectly. The roof is beautiful and he finished it in one day. He had a gentleman come out the next morning and spent over an hour here rechecking my grounds for any nails or anything that they may have originally missed. It was an excellent service and I was very happy with them. He did everything he said he was going to do. The gentlemen were excellent and all of his workers and everything. I had three estimates that were recommended on the list and they were all within the exact same price, they were very close. I chose him because I could finish the job in a day and he looked at certain things and said what I should do and my husband was definitely pleased. He noticed those little things, so that made the difference why I chose him and I was very happy.

Ken Morton stated that the crew would show up at 7:00 Monday morning. At 7:05 the crew showed up and began. They worked diligently and nonstop all day. They were highly organized, protected the plants and everyone seemed to know exactly what to do next. There were two project supervisors on site for both days, neither of them were intrusive and their minimal direction of the crew was politely followed. They completely finished the roof in one day - although the roof is an easier one with a low pitch and few impediments, it is 3500+ square feet. The cleanup was pretty intensive, starting early in the morning and continuing throughout the day. Everyone, including the supervisors, kept picking up during the day. At the end of the roofing, the entire crew was involved in the final cleaning up and only darkness seemed to stop the cleaning. They followed up early the next morning with a meticulous, detailed cleaning of very small parts.

Ken Morton Roofing was very professional from the initial quote to the final work. I had estimates from about 6 companies and I liked them the best. It came down to Ken Morton and another local company and I ended up going with them because they made me feel the most comfortable. They were slightly higher but not enough to make me change my mind. The workers were the best. Always ontime, arriving 7am each day. They were very thorough and did a great job protecting the windows and plants and such. They were also good atcleaning up. I did find that NJ estimates are MUCH cheaper than PA estimates for anyone who is out there pricing. I really don't know why. My roof looks AMAZING!!!!

The work appears to be o.k. Only issue is the individual doing the roof repairs was supposed to ask me for part bundle of old shingles to mix in, but didn't speak English. As a result didn't use them and repair is pretty obvious.

The day before Hurricane Irene, I discovered that 5 shingles had disappeared from my roof. The day after the hurricane, I began calling roofers. This was not a good time to contact a roofer as many other people had much more serious roof damage than I, but Ken Morton responded to my phone message when no one else did. He was persistent through several rounds of telephone tag. He quickly visited my home and inspected the situation. I live in a twin and thought that we might need to replace the entire roof, but my neighbor wanted to wait a year or two. Kenny decided that repairing my side of the roof without replacing both sides of the building was perfectly reasonable. The work completed on schedule. The new shingles closely match the color of originals, which is a good trick since the house is 22 years old. The skylight doesn't leak any more--Yay! Kenny made a couple of verbal promises to me when he discussed the work, and they weren't carried out. I'm a little disappointed about that, but the overall work written into the estimate is completely satisfactory and the service was exceptional.

Siding done very well, excellent craftmanship by Leon. Done by one man (Leon) so it took a while, but he did a great job siding. The gutters are another story, The sub contractor did what we thought was a good job, exactly what we wanted. However, when the run off over the gutter near our fireplace ending up staining our siding the gutter contractor came out and did something BUT IT DID NOT WORK. They never responded to any phone calls, nor did Kenny Morton. Subsequently another gutter issue appeared. Again I called multiple times, directly to the subcontractor and to Kenny Morton, thinking he could get these guys rolling. NOTHING from either. Again I am now calling. I'll see what happens, meanwhile I have a stained portion of my siding, never fixed, replaced and the gutter still spills roof dirt down there. And, my other gutter overflow on a sunlight below still occurs. No response, no followup, take the 20 grand and run. Subs don't want to do followup, and aren't required by Kenny Morton apparently. Sub name is Towne Gutters out of Swedesboro. If they do it right their good, if they screw up, they will not be back. 3-4 months after a face to face guarantee with proprieter KennyMorton, a "man of his word," that he would be back to make the gutter good and the flashing near chimney fixed there has been no sighting or completion. I have called the office 2 times to ask how we fit in his timetable and I believe I received what appears to be a standard reply. 6 months later still no response. Kenny always claimed he was very busy........ Oh well. I guess those pictures of my house in his ad should be updated, especially the missing chimney area angle!! with the roof stains on the siding.

Professional crew showed up on time. Did good job and cleaned up after themselves. Have not had any more problems with leaks. Office staff friendly and helpful. I called during a busy time and had to wait a bit for the estimate but the quality of the work made it worth the wait. After the estimate, the work was done promptly.

We have had many projects performed by contractors on our home over the past 40 years. This new roof installed by Ken Morton Roofing if not the best experience is among the top work performed by contractors doing jobs for us. You will not be disappointed of the quality workmanship of this company. We will look no further for any future roofing needs.

Having Ken Morton give me an estimate for replacing a leaking skylight was a refreshing example of professionalism, after 5 previous contractors wasted my time and never called me back after looking at the problem. Ken showed up on time and had the reference materials to give me an estimate within 10 minutes. His men showed up a week later, once again on time, and had the replacement skylight installed in 2 hours. The work was done without fuss and they know exactly what needed to be done. All trash was removed and the drive was free of nails. If you need a replacement skylight don't waste you time call Ken Morton first, I wish I had.

I called to have my roof looked at and replaced as it was leaking. The office staff was initially pleasant but asked me if I had a husband. I thought that was very strange but answered. I was to receive a call back from Ken within a few days. After a week, I called back and was told Ken would be calling. After a few more calls and mounting frustration at not being given the courtesy of a straight answer I stopped calling. I have yet to receive that promised return call.

Overall experience was excellent. Install team arrived at 7 A.M. on 8/30/2010. Completed the work in one day. A dumpster was placed in front of the house for debris removal. Clean up of property was excellent after the work was completed and dumpster was removed early the following morning. It was a professional experience from the first call to the company, to the signing of the contract on 8/25/2010 until the completion of the work on 8/30/2010. Anyone who needs to replace their roof can be assured that the work will be done during the time period promised and the workmanship will be top notch. You will not regret using this company for all of your roofing needs.

The workers were polite, respectful and clean. They tarped the windows when they removed the old roof. They carefully covered all of my flower beds and there was NO debris to be found in the yard. This was very important to me as I have flowers around the entire house and three dogs. They were extremely professional, and my husband and I were extremely happy. Thank you Keith & Dave!

The work was excellent all the way through the process.
