They charged additional $300 for the work I have already mentioned to them before quotes.

They drained and removed the old water heater and installed a new one. Clean job. Only issue-- we had asked them to arrive after 2pm (we work nights) and they were here 11am; we were still in bed. The main office arranged for the permit paperwork and rebate. All in all, very efficient crew and office, aside from that one appointment timing issue. We're happy with the work and price.

They were friendly, they weren't too carefully but they were very friendly.

These guys get the job done but do not care about customer satisfaction. There were no rugs with them to put on the floor. My floor was scratched and the guys who installed it were in hurry. When I showed them the floor they did not agree with me and started talking about me in front of me. (The guy was saying to the other guy that I was testing his patience). They better understand that the quality of work is important for customers to come back or to refer. Also, I was told to fix one of the nipples near my waterline which they failed to do so (this was part of the quote agreed), when asked they promised me to come back in few days which they never did but payment was taken in full. They also promised a drip pan addition to the installation for the month of December, which they failed to do so. Again, when asked all they said have they already installed it without it and it cannot be done now. Why do you guys even need to falsely advertise something when you do not want to live up to it. Overall, I would not recommend these guys. I wish HomeAdvisor had an option to upload photos so that I could upload the pictures of my scratched floor.

Good job. Since my old heater was replaced 15 years ago many code requirements changed. At first I was not sure that I need these additional changes but I checked actual code and yes, I needed them. Installers did very good job, quick and clean. What more I got better a model than available in chain stores for a very good price.

They were very prompt, professional, did the job the way they should have and cleaned up after themselves. We were very pleased.

Given the emergency of the situation, I am very pleased on how Michael handled my family's emergency. By prioritizing our needs for working heat, Michael sent someone to handle the issue within hours. That sense of concern is appreciated. The cost was reasonable, given that this was an emergency. Also, when looking at what home advisor estimated the cost to be for the service, which was not much of a difference from what garden state water heater charged. Therefore, we are very satisfied overall. Thank you.

Carmine called about 20 seconds after I submitted my info with Home Advisor. They were 80% lower (yes, 80%) than the quote I got from a local plumber, scheduled me right away and did a very nice job.

Once he knew the details of what I needed, He gave me an estimate over the phone and once we agreed schedule/timing, his team arrived within a day and fitted a new water heater. The team was very respectful of my property and followed strict COVID-19 guidelines. They made a great suggestion to consider some other pipe work and make future work easier which I agreed to. In all, the job was done on time, on budget and the team cleaned up so well you would not have known they had been there! I would highly recommend Garden State Water Heaters as they are responsive, very price competitive and offer high quality services delivered by a great team! They took all the worry out of this for me!

He was more knowledgeable than my plumber.

They gave an estimate over the phone for replacing my water heater with same kind and size. Others wanted to charge for an estimate. They did not add too much to the estimate when they showed up to do the work. They followed the Covid guidelines.

We set an appointment that was convenient for both of us and the work was completed in 1 1/2 hrs. (replace water heater) on the scheduled day. The connections were brought up to code and the price was exactly as quoted which was hundreds cheaper than the 2 other quotes I received . I am very happy with Garden State and would definitely recommend them..

just be aware that the quote I received over the phone for the size and type of water heater was not what I paid. When techs arrived they told me that exhaust pipe , shut off valve and gas pipe hose had to be updated or they wouldn't do the work. this was an additional $300.00 added to the quote. I was not warned of this when I was given the quote over the phone. But the work they did was great and fast and they cleaned up and removed old tank. JUst beware and ask questions when getting a quote.

Promises looked very good until the actual work started. They showed up 5 hours later than scheduled time without actually letting us know. Customer service is very poor. Installers managed to dent the water heater and damage the step into the room. I was very puzzled by how they handled the paperwork for the additional warranty on the water heater I bought. The plumbing work was done accurately, yet not to the extent, I wanted. Basically, I did save $1000 compare to PSG or Home Depot, but I had a very hard time working with this shop. I have no confidence that if anything breaks they will honor their installation warranty as most of what they promised had not been done. The plumbing is done accurately though. They did clean after themselves... SO 3 out of 5 is an honest grade. If I can afford a reliable provider I will definitely not use this shop ever.

Both Carmine and Anthony were very professional. They were punctual and the quality of work was impeccable. They went from a direct vent to a forced vent on my hot water heater, and they were done in less than two hours. Great job guys.
