The job is done. It was supposed to be just the gas control valve but it turned out to be also the tank. So, it was unexpected but at least I have a new water heater now.

Leaving your info at Angi list will get you bombarded with texts and calls from contractors. It goes on for weeks. Carmine quoted one price on the phone, but the installers said we needed another three hundred bucks worth of expansion tank.

I had great experience with Carmen and his team. We had a water heater emergency and Carmen was able to accommodate us last minute. He quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced our water tank the next day. The price was reasonable with how fast they were able to fix the issue. I highly recommend!

Carmine and Tony went above and beyond to give the best recommendation for initially fixing my ailing water heater, and then for replacement when it became apparent that it is not salvageable. My leaking hot water heater needed replacement. Multiple estimates varied up to $1000 higher for the same replacement! I checked Home Advisor since I had good luck with contractors in the past. Garden State Water Heaters ad says, "lowest prices in NJ". I submitted my information and within 5 minutes I received a call from Carmine the company's owner. Carmine is pleasant to speak with, down to earth & most of all HONEST! No surprises, gimmicks or hidden fees. The price in his ad is the price you pay. I found this absolutely amazing! He offered next day service. On the morning of service I received a call at 8:30 a.m. to inform me the plumbers would come at 9:30 a.m. Plumbers Roger & Chris arrived exactly on time! Again, I was amazed! Both gentlemen were personable, experienced, & efficient. They are meticulous in their work & finished in under 2 hrs. Thank you guys. there was a miscommunication on the replacement tank size resulting in a small tank being installed. however, bringing this to GS Water Heaters attention, they came to my home early Monday morning (the first install was Friday) and replaced the tank with the right size in a most courteous and professional manner. thank you, chris and roger!

I awoke at 4:00 AM to prepare for work and discovered a lack of hot water. Upon investigation, I found approximately one inch of water in the basement due to a leaking water heater. I contacted Garden State Water Heaters and spoke with Carmine (remarkably, he answered at 4:30 AM). A crew arrived at my residence by 7:00 AM. They provided a competitive price for water heater replacement, completed the work efficiently, and departed by 12:00 PM. The team was courteous, clean, prompt, and respectful. I needed to replace a broken water heater that was still under warranty. The size I had installed is not manufactured anymore for residential water heaters, so Carmine explained to me my options and took time to answer my questions and recommend a heater to get at Home Depot. But HD didn't have the needed size in stock almost anywhere. After searching for a water heater all over the state of New Jersey these guys went to Home Depot after removing my water heater and waited there for over two hours while my warranty replacement was processed, and then replaced my existing water heater. They were so very patient, came back from Home Depot and installed the new water heater quick and clean. Great job, highly recommend! Thank you guys!
