Had the Howell NJ Township inspection of the new water heater Garden State Water Heaters installed. Everything was good to code. It was approved. They installed a top brand name water heater at the best price. Carmen and his crew do efficient and professional work. They had all of the right tools and expertise. A pleasure to do business with. Garden state water heaters came the next day to install our water heater. Installation was smooth and easy and the installers took their time to go through what was happening. They were careful with the install and made sure things were right before leaving.

I got a call from GS within minutes of submitting a request via home advisor around 7pm. 2 guys from their team were at my home next morning at 9.30am and replaced the water heater. They left the site clean as well.

Tech Billy replaced a hot water heater and kitchen faucet. garden State owner, Carmine, called immediately after placing the request on Thurs morning and he had technician, Billy, there by 10AM ... the same day ... and a day earlier than my original request. I watched him installed a high quality Rheem 40 gal unit, gas burning, with a very high efficiency rating. He did a very professional installation & removed the old Whirlpool unit and left the worksite clean and tidy! Cost was very fair and below the quote I got from Home Depot contractor. I plan to use them for future plumbing jobs.

Gave a straight forward price quote without any surprises and came very quickly. Very professional and knowledgeable crew, excellent service and fair price with good brand equipment. Very honest business and highly recommend. Overall a pleasant experience.

Installed water heater but I still wasn't getting hot water. Asked them to come back out. They never returned calls and never came to the house. Hired another company and turns out the water heater that was sold had a broken wire that was shorting out. Had to replace fuses, wiring, and a thermostat. Ended up costing me almost double.

Quick turnaround, I initiated contact Sunday afternoon for a leaking water heater, replacement done next day.

Had a bad leak in my old water heater over a weekend. Garden State called me right away, assessed my issue virtually, and was able to schedule a replacement for the next day. Team was friendly and professional, made sure my system was up to code, and took care of the permits with my town.

Excellent experience. Anthony and Roger arrived on time and did an outstanding job replacing our water heater. They were very thorough explaining process and how to perform yearly maintenance. All work was performed in a neat fashion and really looks professional. I highly recommend Garden State Water Heaters!

DO NOT WORK with these rude, unprofessional, untrustful, and dishonest. In my 75 years, I HAVE NEVER experienced such bad treatment with ANY servicemen. The guy from G.S. Water Heaters who installed the unit in June 2020 and this year *tried* to resolve the issue was: (1) VERY RUDE: When speaking with me never used common words people use in corresponding with each other. In his text messages (I have copies) he never said: good-morning or good-day; hi or hello; goodbye or bye-bye; thanks or thank you: never put his name on any text messages, never gave his business card, so I do not even know his name. (2) EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL: Installed the unit was bad quality; leaking, flooding the basement and leaving my family without hot water. To make the situation worse my wife had a stroke 1.13.2021 and needed a shower badly. I called the guy and informed him that the unit must be replaced (still was under warranty). He came, inspected the unit, and agreed that it was bad; but did not bring with him a new one what made me very upset because the agony with not having hot water would have continued. I was pissed off with the *activity* of the guy and told him to come and p/u unit and that I would order a new one somewhere else. He stormed away to his car without a word. I noticed that he was murmuring something in his chin (it sounded like coursing). I guess he realized that he had been unprofessional and so after 10 minutes he called me on phone. (3) At that moment by PROMISING that he would come the following day with a refund check and to P/U the bad unit, he uttered his 1st disinformation. Later he re-confirmed it by text message. He DID NOT COME the following day, did not even call to apologize or explain. Afterward, there were more than a dozen text messages back and forth. The unit was sitting in my front yard for almost a whole month. He just did not show up. I REALIZED THAT BEING UNTRUTHFUL IS HIS HABIT. There was only 1-time legitimate excuse. Last 10 days there are no more even answers to my messages. Even after leaving him a warning message on 3/11 telling him that I expected the unpaid balance to get paid, and apologize by the end of last week, or I would have to report him to BBB and similar agencies telling them about my experience with him - he did not bother even to respond. (4) IS THIS DISHONESTY? After getting all the money for his service and unit, and after accepting a legitimate complaint he paid me back (with more than 3 weeks delay) - BUT LESS THAN HE HAD COLLECTED. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME - DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!

The replacement took just a little over 1 hour and everything was neat and clean. Of course, the final cost was $200 more than the initial quote as they changed the cut off valve and added some sort of grounding wire. These items were hand written on the pre-printed invoice by the installer.

I was looking for a reasonable water heater to replace mine which was getting up in years. Garden State was reasonable in price, on time with delivery, and the 2 installers were terrific. I would recommend highly recommend them.
