They also offered helpful, simple maintenance tips. Garden State Water Heaters under bid other estimates be a significant factor and the work was top rate. Great communication. Highly recommended.

My water heater was leaking and I called Garden State.They called back and said they would come the next day to replace the water heater, and quoted me $1050 and said to send a picture of the water heater. The next day two workers from garden State come and tell me that because they have to move my washer and dryer, it would be an additional $200. I called the owner and he a confimed the amount. I said ok, it was a total of $1250. When I went to pay, the workers told me it woud be an additional $300, totaling $1350, which is not what he and I agreed to, but I paid it. Upon doing wash that evening, I found they reversed the washer hoses when then reinstalled. I called the owner again and he said he would send somene to reverse the hoses. I told him that it was unfair to make me pay a price that I had not agreed to. He said he would give me back the $100, saying that was just **toll money** for him and send it back with the workers. The workers came, and guess what...no money. I had them call their boss and he said it would be sent by check and that it was **in the mail**. One week later, no check. I called the owner and he said he sent the check but it was not cashed. I said I never received it and asked if he would send another check. He started saying that his costs on water heaters had gone up that week, which had nothing to do with the extra money he promised me and started saying again how the extra $100 was pocket change to him. He said he would send another check and that he would be watching his account in case I cashed both checks, and that I should **stay safe**, which was an implieed threat. He then started ranting about how he **knew** I had other plumbers quote the job, even though that was not true, and said I tried to **deceive** him by not showing the washer and dryer in the picture, and that it **was not his first barbecue**. I never got the $100. Run, do not walk away from this company. The owner is a cheat and and a nut job!

I received a call from Carmine within minutes of my request through Home Advisor. He gave me a going rate quote for replacing a 50 gal natural gas water heater. His courteous crew was at my home (with masks) the next morning 9:00 am with a replacement tank and finished the job for the agreed rate within one hour. Less that 24 hours from the time we spoke to the time I had a new tank. I believe if I would have told Carmine it was an emergency he may have done the job the same day, Great job - thanks Carmine.

Very good and my only complaint would be they charged me 50$ more than what they quoted me.The reason was that they accidentally told me the wrong price.In my opinion they shouldâ ve accepted responsibility for the mistake and not charge me the extra 50 for a $2,000 unit.

The installers were courteous and considerate as they updated me on their estimated time of arrival. They also answered all my questions and showed me how to maintain my unit. Carmine and his staff were gentlemen and took care of my install the next day. Pricing and professionalism are their goals and you will be pleased.

Let me be very clear, I am not writing this review to help Golden State Water heaters, I am writing this review to help you, a fellow homeowner. Moreover, the way these guys operate they do not need my review, they will do just fine without it. Back Story: My tankless water heater started leaking and stopped working after 10+ years. Although I have PSEG worry free service all those years, of course they told me this isn't covered in their fine print. I went to Homeadvisor just like any of you would and contacted a few professionals.  Offer I couldn't refuse: Carmine from Garden State water heaters was the first one to contact, they were at my house in less than 2 hours, diagnosed the problem for free and gave me a firm quote and said it would be completed the next day.  As any value driven homeowner would, I weighed by available options on homeadvisor and other referrals from friends and called back Carmine with my thoughts. He is very easy to talk to and inspite of being very busy with other projects, he patiently heard me out and gave me a few options. I was very pleased with how much he wanted to help me as much as he wanted my business. At the end of the day he made me an "offer I couldn't refuse".  Day of Work: They were right on time, finished the job in the time window they said they would and left the place cleaner than they found it, I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP. I can count on my fingers this happened before with other professionals. IF you read this far, please go ahead and give them a call. Save their number for heating, plumbing and anything else they can help you with. And in the process save yourself money and time and more importantly save yourself from a lot of pain. 

Very prompt and expert service. Gave estimate over the phone to replace my leaking hot water heater.

Extremely prompt, and very courteous. They were able to diagnose our problem over txt, and gave us a quote accordingly. My husband immediately picked up on the fact these guys know what they were talking about, as they were able to thoroughly explain what needs to be done, and what was actually happening with our tank. Carmine (the person we dealt with) called back or texted back immediately with my incessant questions.:) Then two technicians came promptly, were very professional and nice, and replaced our hot water tank quickly. Later, I texted Carmine for an unrelated problem, and he actually gave me free advice over the phone. Would highly recommend this company!

Technician named Billy promptly arrived within the hour. He was polite, professional and knowledgeable. He diagnosed and resolved the problem quickly. I would call Carmine back in a minute to request Billy the next time I need their service.
