Andy and I had conversations prior to his coming to discuss appointment time and work to be done. He was very accommodating and extremely pleasant and professional. This was a special offer from Angie's list for two hours of work. Although there were a number of things I wanted done he did not dally in doing any of the jobs and he was able to efficiently and effectively accomplish everything within the two hour time frame. As it turned out the problem with the light over the garage was the fixture itself. He took it down and I will have him back when reinstallation is ready. He also gave me, what I thought, was a reasonable estimate to install under cabinet light fixtures in the kitchen and I will have him do the job. Overall he is knowledgeable, professional, pleasant and neat. I would recommend him.

I purchased the items to be installed and two of the three items did not work correctly. The first was a motion detector for the light above my garage. He advised me to get another while he was working on the other two jobs and I did so. He was able to install it and have it function properly. The switch for the fan I purchased was defective so he used the old switch as a temporary fix and he will finish the job when he returns to do additional work.

I bought one of the Angie's List's online offers and hired them to install a ceiling fan. He arrived on time and was very professional and courteous. He replaced an old ceiling fan with a new one that I had. He cleaned up after it was all done. My spouse and I were very pleased and he was friendly and professional. No complaints and I would definitely use them again in the future. They are reliable !

Pap's customer service is Awesome. They called to arrange service date and scope of work. All time and costs were discussed up front. They arrived on time and reviewed what I wanted completed. Fast, friendly service and just as clean as before they came. Very pleased.

I can't tell you how happy I was with the services Paps Electric provided. I got a deal through Angie's List and Andy promptly called to schedule an appointment. He also called the day of the appointment to let me know exactly what time he would arrive. The two electricians arrived when they said they would and quickly performed the work requested. They were prompt, friendly, and professional. In fact, they went over the two hours labor and refused to charge me for the additional time. The deal was fantastic! After this experience, I wouldn't hire anyone else to do electrical work for me....I've even referred them to family members.

Andrew from Paps Electric called after I purchased this deal from Angies List to ask about the type of work I needed done. He set up a date and time that was convenient for me, ( A Saturday since I work Mon-Fri.) On that scheduled date he called ahead to let me know that he was on the way and arrived early to check out what supplies I would need to get the job done. After a short trip he and Jim, another electrician, began work. Both took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted done and also explained a lot of the details to me. The work took several hours both inside and outside the house. I was impressed with how neatly everything was installed especially since they had to work in a tight pantry area. Once they were done they explained to me the operation of switching over from regular electric service to my generator and the entire system was tested and working perfectly. Before leaving they cleaned up so that you would never know they were there. Both of these men are true professionals. I highly recommend Andrew and Jim from Paps Electric to anyone needing electrical work and will not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Andrew called me the day after I made the purchase, returned my return call promptly, came out the next day -- EARLIER than he said, and with his assistant completed the job in a little less than an hour. I had wanted them to install a ceiling fan but changed my mind after he told me I could get replacement blades for the quality fan I had. He looked over my electrical panel, found everything in good order and didn't exploit the discounted deal to advise a bunch of extra work. My only complaint with the work would be the pieces of wire left on the floor which I have had to take away from my cat all afternoon. I would definitely call Andrew again for electrical work and pay him for enough time to take care of this, because my cat already has enough toys. :-)

I think the key to a good contractor in general is communication. Second, their skill and professionalism. Finally, demeanor and courtesy. Pap's Electric did this in flying colors. Andrew was very responsive and updated me in time schedules. I'm sure you know how frustrating it can be when a contractor doesn't respond. They were quick and knew what they were doing. And, he's the type of guy that you would like to go have a beer with. I highly recommend him! You won't regret it!

We have been working with Andrew since May 2014, when we bought this house. (i.e. estimating, negotiating and then finally starting / doing the actual work). Andrew removed all old wiring in this house and re-did all new wires and light fixtures which match current 'code'. We had multiple inspections done along the way after every phase of the project was done, and every inspection was passed in one go, in the town, where most contractors say that the inspectors are difficult :). So, after a few months of work, we have all new wires and light fixtures in the house. Andrew always listened to our requirements and provided his best suggestions to accomplish them. He is not afraid to go in hidden / dark attic spaces and he found hidden room / extra space for us which we did not know in the house :). Also all the work was done with minimum damage to the existing walls and ceilings. It was A LOT of work. Per our experience - he is reasonably priced, hardworking, honest --licensed electrician.

I needed some work ASAP for a commercial building. I called a few electricians in the Bergen area and either got a voice mail or they weren't available and had to call me back. I'm so happy this happened because I stumbled upon Paps Electric trying to get someone out quick. Andrew was very professional, prompt and above all, fair. He came the same day, worked quickly, picked up after himself and left. We have since called him again to do another job. I have recommended him to other people in my office.
