D.A.S. Appliance Service

I didn't comparison shop with the price. They were very personal. They called me back and gave me updates for when they are coming. They tried to fit me in. Once we settled on a time they were right on time. It seemed to be a family business. I think it was the wife that answered, but she knew about the type of trouble I was having. She told me she would have to talk to the technician who I'm assuming is her husband. She told me he would be there in the afternoon and she called me with updates. They were very good. I thought his vehicle was terrific. He must have parts for every machine on that vehicle. He had more boxes and side boxed. Usually when you call an appliance repair they come in a little van and they never have the part.

The technician arrived on a timely manner and knew exactly what was wrong. Pricing was very reasonable and problem was fixed. We use them again for our garbage disposal issue and as before they did a great job. Dependable and honest.

DAS was on time, they didn't have the part for my specific oven, which wasn't a problem. Our technician was able to get the part out oven needed and complete the task of fixing the oven. Overall a very good experience.

great people to work with. He confirmed an auto switch had turned on to avoid a fire and vacuumed the vent. Sam is a true gentleman and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend him.

I've used D.A.S. Appliance Service a few times before and have always been very happy with the service provided. This continues to be the case. Sam (the owner) responded quickly and did an excellent job installing my new gas cooktop. He had to cut the countertop to fit the new appliance and to install a new gas line for the stove hookup. Everything looks great and I am happy to be able to use it in time for the upcoming holidays.

Service provided by Sam, the owner, was very prompt and professional. He was able to make the repair by creatively improvising a fix using part of the broken dial and a few materials which he provided. This avoided a much more costly total replacement. His price was extremely reasonable. I would not hesitate to call him again. Highly recommended.

First time we've used DAS as a result of Angie's List reviews. I called at the crazy hour of 8 a.m. on my way to work - and got a real person on the phone! Made an appointment for 1:30 the same day (time was good for me.. i had many choices..) Repair guy showed up right on time. Explained to him what the problem was ...."dirty dishes".... he found the problem in 5 minutes (lots of junk that does not belong in the drain of a dishwasher) and had it working in 25 minutes..... very professional, and friendly. The bill was the clincher.. I was expecting $150 bill ... only paid $64. I will be recommending DAS to my friends and neighbors. now "I have a guy".. LOL.... GREAT WORK!!!

The dryer was not working and he replaced the gas coil kit. The appointment was suppose to be for 1:00pm but he showed up half hour before. He was very professional and polite and he knew right away what was wrong with the dryer. I definitely will use his service again.

The worst customer service I can think of. I setup up an appointment and stayed home so that i can be available for them. This guy calls me and basically refused to come and even see what is wrong with the appliance. The answer that i received from the gentlemen is that I should just call GE.

They called back to advise they do not service LG appliances citing LG is a difficult vendor to work with. I can relate as we have an LG fridge and have nothing but problems. Sad they could not service as they had great reviews and was thankful for the call back with information.

I called at 9:30 a.m. to report that my dryer was not heating up. By 3:00 P.M.it was repaired and drying a full load of clothes. Sam provided fast, professional service and I am delighted to know that there is a responsible person available close to my home to take care of my aging appliances as needed.I will gladly recommend D.A.S. to friends.

We called Sam from DAS on a Saturday am at 7:30 after realizing the AC was not working. He called back within 20 minutes and was at the house within 2 hours. He diagnosed the problem (critters chewed through the wires again), repaired the wires and had our AC working within an hour. Amazingly it only cost $68.00. We have used Sam for years for our HVAC needs (including many weekends). He is the best!

refrigerator broken and Sam came and quickly identified the problem. It was going to take some time to order the replacement part. Sam was able to make the refrigerator run again with the defect part to have enough time for the replacement part to come.

I called them this morning at 9:30, and the lady told me that she would send a technician to fix my dryer at 12:00. He called me at 12:15 and asked me if I had a driveway. I told him that I did not, but that there was plenty of street parking. He told me that he would not park on the street, and that he would not come to do the repair.

Emailed for service and they responded promptly. Appointment was delayed slightly due to their family emergency however I was scheduled immediately after everyone was back on duty. We had a slight mix up on how to get into our gated development but the next day there was not a problem. A slight mix up between dispatcher and repair person. Can't really comment on the cost of service accurately as I do not know the cost of the electronics board that was replaced. In hindsight I should have asked them to price it out as parts and labor separately. All in all service was performed to my satisfaction and we have had no problems since the repair.

Sam was Very professional and knowledgeable. Made us feel comfortable. As mentioned to him, We were left with a good impression of him. If needed we will use him again if. Thanks Sam!

Our gas wall oven broke, so we called D.A.S. on a Saturday. Although they could not fix the oven over the weekend, they scheduled us for an appointment on Monday and gave us only a short window of time for the appointment to take place, rather than the typical four-hour windows many vendors give. The technician called when he was on the way and made it within the designated window. After hearing that the oven was not heating, he took the oven apart and diagnosed the problem. He stated that it would be $140 plus tax and he made the repair. I believe from beginning to end, it was less than an hour and the oven works well. I would definitely call D.A.S. again for another appliance repair.

I called the office around 9:00 am. and was told that he would be able to come out around noon time. I get a call around 11:00 from Sam saying that he was en route. He arrived within 20 minutes and proceeded to look at the problem. It took a couple of seconds to locate the clog and a couple of seconds more to fix it. He then unclogged the other burners and showed me how to do it myself in case this problem occurs again. This is the second time I have used this company and will continue to do so in the future. Although this turned out to be a very minor problem, I am happy with the prompt, courteous service that I received.

I called D.A.S. to fix my broken dishwasher. I am very good at fixing things and already checked the basics (electric, fuses, safety switches). I was calling hoping it was something simple and relying on Sam's experience in finding the problem and correcting it. He looked at the dishwasher (while doing other business on the phone) and in less then 10 minutes said it must be the control board because it wouldn't power up. He called for a price on the part ($200) plus around $50 to come back and install it. I told him that price is way too high as Sear had the part for a lot less. He recommended I order it from Sears and replace it myself. I told him I was concerned because if he was wrong, I would be out the cost of the part. He said he checked it out and knows its the control board (he called it the brain). I ordered the part and replace it in the dishwasher but it still would not power up. I emailed D.A.S. Appliance relaying my disappointment but was told if he had bought the control board things would have been different. I would have gladly paid him to buy and install the board if his cost wasn't almost 40% higher than my part cost. I was not just looking to get my dishwasher repaired, I was looking for a reliable repair company that I could rely for future repairs. I was looking into building a relationship. I have been repairing computers for over 20 years and I know sometimes the repair requires educational guesses and this is where experience comes into play. Maybe my expectations were set too high because I expected Sam to provide better guesses and if he guessed wrong, to work with me on the next steps. If I am going to pay for guesses, I might as well go to Sears where they charge a fix rate and warranty the appliance for a year.

Went well, very knowledgeable. Looked and diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes. Very prompt and helpful, explained me the issue etc. Took the motor off and brought in time as promised. fixed the same and the AC started working. Only challenge i had was on price, it seemed too pricy to me. He charged me 390 for replacing a motor. When i looked up online the motor was ranging between 100 - 150 so essentially 240 was charged for labor. In my mind including travel the hours spend will be 6-7 hrs. So essentially the labor costs is $35 to $40. Is this well priced? If it is then i will rate an A or B for price as well.

I called DAS yesterday and I was able to schedule a visit for today at my convenience. Sam called ahead of time to let me know when he would arrive, and once here, he was able to quickly diagnosed the problem. He had the replacement part available in the truck, so the repair was done quickly. This was an overall very positive experience, from calling to schedule service, to the actual arrival and repair itself.

The owner, Sam, arrived on time and immediately diagnosed the problem. The freezer was working but not the refrigerator and he informed me that the defrost timer, heater and plastic hose needed replacement. He ordered the parts and in three days he returned to install them. He was very knowledgeable, professional and neat. I felt totally comfortable with what he had explained to me as I had to make the decision as to whether or not I should purchase a new one. The price of $275 included his service call. I would definitely call him again and refer to him to everyone.

It went well. He was accurate and honest. He analyzed what was wrong and advised that it would be better to just buy a machine.

Very prompt, courteous, professional, honest and affordable! After examining and locating issue with washing machine, the part was ordered and the repair was made. A few laundry loads later,water was leaking from the machine. We called and DAS appliance came back quickly to check. DAS checked everything and found the seal needed replacing. Due to the age of the machine DAS recommended that we not repair this as the cost of the repair would not be justified. It would be more cost efficient to just buy a new machine. We received a refund from DAS for the part ordered on the original repair. DAS is our first call for any of our appliances that need repair.
