Description of Work: Quincy installed a new hot water heater, laundry sink, kitchen faucet, washer hoses, and replaced some shut off valves.

Description of Work: Our water heater needed to have a conversion kit installed to mitigate a fire hazard. The manufacturer sent us a conversion kit with detailed instructions, but I was not comfortable doing the installation myself because I am not comfortable working with natural gas. So we called QNS plumbing.

Description of Work: My clothes washer would not drain and I assumed it was due to a plumbing problem. I contacted Quincy on a Saturday and he scheduled time to meet me on Monday morning. After looking at my washer Quincy determined that the problem was not due to a clogged drain pipe. It turned out I had a bad switch in the washer that needed to be replaced. Quincy did try to fix it but it was clear I needed an appliance repair person.

Other companies I had called wanted to charge $47 for estimate, and some gave a quote over the phone. Quincy said he didn't want to give a quote over the phone because once he sees exactly what needs to be done, he can give an accurate quote, considering that codes change and there may be more work than meets the eye. This made sense to me, and his quote ended up being right in line with those we had gotten over the phone. Quincy came right on time to install a new water heater, and also took care of obtaining the permit through our town. From beginning to end, he was professional and knowledgeable.

Description of Work: Our house had repetitive hot water leaks under slab. This was the third time the problem happened and certainly a nightmare since water leaks are not easy to find under slab. You have to get lucky to pinpoint the location which could mean destroying floors, tiling, hardwood, slab, etc. This time I wanted to fix the problem once and for all by re-piping the hot water line but just the thought of having to pay for such an invasive work around the house taunted me. I was about to call the same company used the last two times before to fix the problem but I wanted to research more about plumbers in my area, and that let me to find out about Angie's list. The website allowed me to search for plumbers and most importantly check the reviews of other users with the same kind of work I required. QNS Plumbing looked very solid to me and I did not hesitate giving this company a call to get an assessment. Quincy Spann, from QNS Plumbing, showed on time for the assessment, understood what needed to be done right away. After this, I needed a find detect the leak and where the hot water lines run throughout the house. The water leak detection company was able to do that and it took just another visit from QNS Plumbing to get an estimate for the water leak repair and repiping. It was a no-brainer to go ahead with the repiping after evaluating the work it will be done and the cost. It took two days for Quincy to get the job done in a very professional, knowledgeable, and considerate way. Several walls needed to be opened for the connection of the new pipe, and the capping of the old line.

Description of Work: I have a 5 year old townhouse in an adult community. A pipe developed a pinhole leak under the slab. I went to Angie's List to find a good plumber, and QNS (Quincy Spann) was very highly rated, so I called them, and I could not be more happy with the result. I had a leak detection company come in to location the problem, but on the first try they missed the location, pointing instead to a wall between the laundry and guest bath. QNS came and drilled 2 holes in the tile on either side of the wall to find no leak. What he did find was a very poor grade of copper that was neither insulated nor cushioned in the stone under the slab. QNS went above and beyond by insulating and cushioning the entire underground pipe from the hot water heater to the wall -- about 9 feet -- while these 2 holes were open. . The leak detection company was successful on the 2nd try in locating the leak under the staircase. Mr. Spann was able to cut the drywall on the side of the staircase and drill and repair the leak by working through the studs. He re-attached the drywall when the repair was completed. Quincy not only insulated what he could, then cushioned and refilled the holes, but he re-concreted all 3 holes and replaced the tile. He kept the holes small enough to require minimal tile replacement, and even saved the tiles in the guest bath to re-use. It took 2 weeks to get the pipe fixed because Quincy worked around my schedule, coming evenings and weekends. He went above and beyond by insulating all of the exposed pipe in all 3 open holes, repacking the stones, sand and concrete and re-setting the tile. QNS and Mr. Spann deserve the very highest rating for service, price, and professionalism. I highly recommend him to everyone.

Description of Work: Late 1950's house in NJ with original copper drain pipes. Main Bathroom tub/shower drain tailpipe had corroded (yes, copper corrodes) and became so thin it developed a gaping hole and was dumping gallons of shower water into the full-size, finished basement. QNS repaired not just the corroded pipe segment but the pipes above and after the bad area with good SCHED 40 PVC.

Description of Work: We used QNS Plumbing Sewer & Drain to evaluate a situation and he troubleshot it to a point. He assessed the situation and caulked around a few areas in our tub. He said if the leak continues to call him back because he would have to cut through the wall and he didn't want to do that. The leak has not progressed and the stain in the ceiling has not gotten any worse. He said the service would be free but if he had to come back there would be a charge.
