QNS Plumbing Sewer & Drain Inc

Well the morning of the service didn't start out great as they didn't show between the hours given (I made an appointment a week in advance). A call to the office asking what happened prompted apologies up and down and a new appoointment that afternoon. They came and took care of the minor problem (including a small part replacement) at no cost to me at all. Yes they fumbled initially but recovered nicely and got the job done. Service tech was very professional, would (and will) use them again.

I contacted QNS and spoke with Quincy on the phone. We set up a time for him to come to fix the leak at the end of his work day (ours, too - early evening on a weekday). In a short time after he arrived, Quincy diagnosed the problem and fixed it. We chatted briefly about some additional plumbing work that needs to be done around our house and plan to have him return to evaluate the repairs, replacements, etc. Quincy refused to accept payment for the minor repair and our jaws just about dropped. When does this ever happen in 2012?! :-) We've lived in this house since 1990 and have hired many different plumbers over the years. Never found one who can match Quincy Spann for professionalism, promptness, workmanship, honesty - you name it. The reviews tell the story here: Straight A's! Too bad Angie's List doesn't allow for AA or AAA ratings, right? We found our new plumber, and plan to give him plenty more business until all our pipes and valves and heaters, sinks and tubs and showers, are back in tip-top shape.

I would call QNS again in the future. Quincy was very easy-going, yet very professional. He showed up a few minutes early, and got the entire project done in just over three hours. And the price he charged was within pennies of what he estimated a few days earlier.

Once Quincy did it again. I called him because I was unable to completely turn off the water for my garden. He came over and gave me a very fair price. I know this because about 2 years ago I received a quote for the same job for over $500. He began working and was having some dificulty turning turning off the water to the entire house. He worked endlessly and was able to get the water shut off.He did all of the work and then some. I expected that he would charge me extra but to my surprise he did not and only charged me what he quoted me when he forst arrived. When I told some of the people at work the next day they wanted his number because they felt that he was veri honest and I agree.Thanks Quincy

I am very happy with job that Qns Plumbing, Sewer, & Drain Inc did. He was really good. He came out when he said he would. Everything was good. I will use him again.

Called the number on Angie's List and spoke directly to him. He gave me a two hour window for the repair and called the number I gave him to let me know he might be late. I offered to have him come the next day, because I was leaving and couldn't accommodate a late appointment, but he said he would be there. As I wrote above, he diagnosed and solved my problem and answered all my questions. He was very polite and honest. I will definitely call him again when I need a plumber.

This provider is really honest! I called for an estimate for the replacement of an outdoor water spigot, repair of a bathroom faucet, adjustments to toilets. and an estimate for replacement of a gas line leading to an outdoor grill. Instead, Quincy made a quick adjustment to the outdoor spigot so it no longer leaked, told me that Moen will send me the part I need to fix the faucet for free (and I can install it easily myself) and adjusted the toilet fill level rather than replacing the part. Really, he could have turned any one of these into a major job, but he fixed them on the spot for free. He gave me an estimate for replacing the gas line, but didn't push that job either--he recommended that we try out our new grill on the old gas line and only replace the line if it turns out the pressure isn't adequate. I can't remember ever dealing with such an honest service provider. I certainly will call him for any plumbing work I need in the future, and as much as I don't want to have to spend money on household repairs, I really would like to hire him next time!

The gentlemen committed to a time convenient for my schedule and were here in a timely fashion. They were very friendly and professional. They listened to the description of the problems and determined solutions quickly. They began with the shower dial. The dial was removed and replaced. The screw that held the dial was bent and the dial was broken internally. Having previously left the information about the shower dial on a message, they brought the correct part and replaced it quickly. The kitchen faucet need replacement and they had faucet choices on the truck which saved us a trip to the hardware store. The faucet was replaced quickly and works great. I chose QNS after researching them on Angie's List and I would recommend them to anyone. I will have them back for other jobs in the future.

Perfect everything was fixed. They were very curtious, removing their boots whenever they had to go anywhere within the house.

The bath tub drain at my house had slowed and over days, come to a stop. I had tried to remedy it on my own using a plunger (no go), chemicals (no go, either), and considered un-doing the tub pipe trap, which would have been completely unnecessary. When I phoned QNS this morning, I was given a time slot between 3 - 5 pm this afternoon. QNS arrived at 3:15, and would have been at 3 on the dot if I had heard the front bell. Quincy was professional and thorough in his trouble-shooting and offered me several options for handling the problem. He removed the corroded hook that had caused the problem and didn't charge me for it. I will use QNS again and recommend them to friends.

On 5/30/2012, I discovered my hot water heater was leaking badly and had caused my sump pump to burn out from constant pumping. It was approximately 7:00 pm. Based on prior poor experience with PSE&G's emergency response (they have a maintenance contract on my major items, but that's a whole other sad story), I went to your list and selected the top scored plumber and called. The owner answered, listened to my problems, discussed replacement water heaters and sump pumps and said he'd call back later. At about 9:30 pm, he called back and gave me prices and a date of 5/31/2012, between 2:00 and 4:00 pm. The next day, he called and said he could be there at 1:30 if that was OK. He arrived and installed the new hot water heater and sump pump, removed the old hot water heater (installed 1983 and heavy with sediment) and the old sump pump (over 40 years old, the cast iron pipe assembly collapsed from rust as he raised it). He then cleaned up the premises and gave me a bill for exactly what he quoted on the prior evening.

Quincy was able to come out the same day we called, and replaced the water heater ASAP. Once he switched out the water heater, he found that our chimney liner wasn't legal (we had just bought the house) and came back a few days later to replace that, and he took care of all the permits. He even came back the next day when we were having problems with the heat not kicking on, and fixed it free of charge. He was always professional, responsive, personable, and friendly, and I would recommend him to anyone I know.

We traveled from Ohio to NJ to get my mother-in-laws home ready to sell. We saw there was a major leak under the bathroom sink. We also needed to have a plumber turn on the shower as it wasn't allowed to be used for 60 years( for fear of spots getiing on her tiles). Anyway, we call QNS & Quincy came out the next day. Changed some faucets for us-got the shower going & fixed the pipe under the bathroom sink. Very reasonably priced.

The most impressive part of my experience with QMS was that he came on a Sunday morning, fixed the shower and did not charge me! Quincy was courteous, professional and prompt. I would not hesitate to use or recommend QNS to anyone.

I noticed my kitchen sink was leaking AGAIN! We've had problems in the past and have had others out to help, but after a little while the sink always ends up leaking again. Friday morning I called QNS and they said they would probably come out around 4 pm. To my happy surprise I got a call around 2:30 pm from Quincy saying he'd be over within 20 minutes. He came on time and was professional and courteous. In a few minutes he found the cracked washer, replaced it and didn't even charge me! I would highly recommend QNS and will definitely be using him again.

I searched for plumbers through Angie's List after getting a costly estimate from a friend's recommended plumber. QNS met with me in the evening to provide a reasonable estimate for the requested work. Once the work started, I discovered several additions that I had to make to the work requested. QNS was very helpful, courteous and flexible about the changes and additions.

We chose QNS because of the amazing reviews at Angie's list. The entire experience went well. We found no issues at all. Quincy handled us very professionally and had the water heater installed in less than 2 weeks. The service and care was outstanding. They were so nice that they did not even wanted to take the tip. What was really impressive to me is that QNS even arranged for the townhome inspection of the installation in a very proactive and fashionable manner. QNS has become my plumber of choice from now on :)

I wanted to get a bowl replaced and called QNS to give me a flat rate. Quincy came out and performed the switch. I asked questions as he worked. He explained some of the issues and what the available options were as he went along his job. I found this valuable and educational as a home owner. He had to saw through some of the old rusted bolts with a large electric saw. He found some calcification on the pipes and cleared it. Overall, the work was done well and in a timely manner. The work was done under 1 hour, but everything worked in the end as expected. The bill was emailed to my email account after the work was done, I paid after I received the email.

Very impressed with puctuality, professionalism and cleanliness. He even went the extra mile and contacted both the township plumbing insepector and the manufacturer of my chimney vent to ensure that my existing vent would handle the BTU's of the new heater. He came on time for both the estimate and the install.

Our kitchen sink was clogged or had a slow drain. We called QNS Plumbing and they came out that same day. Great service! He cleared the drain and advised us not to use the OTC chemicals because of the material of the pipes that we have.

We had gotten an estimate back in December of 2011 to put some plumbing in the basement bathroom in order to be able to put a sink in there. The estimate was sent via e-mail. My husband responded to the e-mail by asking if we needed to have the sink prior to them coming and doing the work, and he never got a response from Quincy. In March of 2012, my husband asked me to try to find a plumber so that we could finally get the second bathroom up and running again because it's not easy having only one functioning bathroom. I found the magnet QNS had left and figured I would try calling there again, seeing how the company had such high ratings on Angie's LIst and we had already gotten an estimate.When I initially called, I thought I had called the wrong number because of the way the phone was answered. I had to ask if it was QNS to make sure it was the correct number--it was not answered very professionally, just a strange mumble. I then explained that we had gotten an estimate and that my husband had responded to the e-mail a few months back but that he had never gotten a response. I explained that my husband would be available 2 days in the next 2 weeks and we would like to get the work started on the bathroom. Quincy said he wasn't in front of his computer and that he would have to get back to me, which was fine with me. He did say he could start the work this week, but he wanted to stop by and meet with my husband first and discuss a couple of things prior to doing so, and I told him which day my husband would be available. We agreed that Quincy would e-mail the estimate to my husband again and that I would call him back and tell him what times my husband would be available if everything was still okay. I called and left Quincy a message telling him that my husband would be available all day from 10 a.m. on on a specific day and to please call back on any of our numbers to confirm when he could stop by, and we still have not heard back from him. It seems to me that the company is either not anxious to work or has too much work and cannot handle any additional work. Either way the owner should be honest and say he can't take the job, and we would not have wasted the time trying to get the company to do the work. We don't always have the time to stay home so that contractors can work on the house. I'm not very impressed with the company's professionalism.
