After joining and researching Angie's List for this expensive plumbing work, contacted QNS Plumbing as 1 of 4 plumbers to call for an estimate to repair a water main leak Initially we had the East Brunswick Water Authority come and check out the issue; water trickling out of the lawn near the curb. This was done promptly. We called the emergency number provided in the blue pages of the local directory and someone was around to look at the leak. The Water Authority concluded that the leak was on our side and so we would have to pay for the repair. The leak was small and of a non emergency nature and there was no loss of pressure in the house. This allowed us time to get estimates and schedule the work. While we did not end up going with QNS, the estimate process was quite satisfactory. Phone calls were returned. Where an appointment needed to be rescheduled we received a call to let us know. The appointment was kept on time. QNS provided a professional, polite and courteous experience and also showed respect for our home. QNS said they could quote on simply fixing the leak, which would be less expensive and replacing the water line from the curb to the shut of valve inside the house, which would be more expensive. There was no pressure or sales pitch to choose either of the options. Also, we were told up front that QNS were not landscaping experts and while they would back fill and tidy up, it would not be to professional landscaper standards. We felt this was a helpful and honest management of our expectations. Our questions were answered fully and with courteous patience. The estimate arrived in about 24 hours via email and was the most detailed estimate we received. The price point for the less expense repair was about $1,600.00 and the more expensive replacement of the entire water service was about $3,600.00. Both of these were in the low to middle range of the estimates we received. The permits were not included. 1 year warranty. No mention of an upfront deposit requirment. In the end we did not go with QNS, because of anything they did or said. Rather the winning bid, which was a lot more expensive, came from a company that specializes in underground utility work, with minimal digging and the ability to fix the landscaping to a good standard. Based on our experience, we would most certainly call QNS for future plumbing needs. Thank you QNS for your time and the estimate, much appreciated.

While repairing the toilet, an intake valve broke off (not his fault) and started spewing water. Quincy sprang into action, trying to turn off the water at the curb (main house valve was old and couldn't be fixed until the water company came). When that didn't work (water company work needed, not him), he quickly devised and executed a workaround, crimping the bathroom's water pipe and sealing it off to stop the flooding. This allowed us to use water normally (except that bathroom) until the water company did their thing. Quincy then came back and completed all repairs very well. He didn't charge us extra for all the added work and extra trip he had to do, sticking to the original estimate. We were very satisfied.

from the first day that Quincy walked into my home i knew that I was dealing with a professional. I had read some other reviews on Angies about QNS - all positive. After dealing with QNS on several occasions i can attest that the other positive reviews do not do him justice. I have owned my home for 25+ years and have never dealt with a more honest, dilligent and fair contractor. I called Quincy on several occasions and he picked up the phone each time. Quincy was very professional and prompt. Came on a Sunday to look at my water emergency, diagnosed the problem and offered a reasonable solution (replacing shut-off valves under the kitchen sink). As he did not have the right parts (being an emergency call), he came again on Monday as promised and finished the service. We would recommend him to anyone.

He was able to schedule me in within a day or two of my phone call. He showed up very promptly, gave me an extremely competitive estimate, and then did the work right on the spot. It took him only 30 minutes, and he did an excellent job. He was very nice and will absolutely use him again in the future.

After searching Angie's List, I found QNS Plumbing - a company I had never heard of but seemed to be highly rated by Angie's List users. I gave them a call and explained my needs. The company's representative on the phone was polite and helpful (a bit of a rarity here in New Jersey.) They gave me a rough estimate over the phone that was acceptable and I scheduled the work. Since it was non-emergency, it was a few days until the appointed service date. The night before the appointed service time, we got hit by a major snowstorm. A little more than halfway through our scheduled time window for the service call - QNS called me to say their service guy was running a little behind and would be approximately 1/2 hour late. This was acceptable to me. The truck actually arrived about fifteen minutes after that, but considering the weather conditions - and the advanced notice - this was not a problem for us. The serviceman was professional and friendly. After discussing our needs, the plumber gave me an estimate even lower than the original estimate. In a matter of just minutes, the work was completed, and the QNS plumber asked me to inspect his work and tell him if it was acceptable to us. He even loaned me his flashlight to use! The work was very professional and more than acceptable to us. We then showed him a coupon we had received from Angie's List for another $20 off the work. He didn't blink an eye and further reduced his bill. After we gave him our check, he informed us that the work was fully guaranteed for 90-days. We are completely satisfied with QNS Plumbing. We would not hesitate to use them again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

On a Sunday afternoon while packing for a trip, my water heater exploded and was leaking water. I had used QNS before and called Quincy. He suggested that he could come out to me now to remove the water heater so that I wouldn't have to worry about water leaking down to the condos below me and he would come back to install the new heater when I returned from my trip. He came to my place within 1.5 hrs and was out within the next hour. I have used QNS in the past year to replace a toilet, tub spout, sink and faucet as well as to install a water line to my refrigerator. I highly recommend QNS and, in fact, have done so to my family and friends. Quincy has always been professional and has always arrived on time. I will continue to use him for all my plumbing issues.

Regarding the drain pipe, Quincy was quick, patient and came back to the house twice to complete the job, which was about $200. On the furnace replacement, he did more than was needed to just replace the furnace and left the area clean.. I would absolutely use this company again. I am an older woman with a sick husband and Quincy's compassion to my need was clear.

I described my 2 plumbing issues over the phone, before the appointment. Quincy showed up at the appointed date and hour, work done as promised and everything seems great. Timely, efficient.

We had a gas leak and they were able to find the source of the leak. All pipes from the house to the grill were redone. QNS was prompt. Responded quicky and was the nicest person to work with.

The plumbing in the basement of an old house we were selling failed city inspection due to deterioration and incorrect connections. Of course I looked to Angie's List to get a plumber close to the house. We called QNS since they had great reviews and Quincy promptly made an appointment to come out. He knew exactly what to do to bring the plumbing up to code. We agreed on the price and he went right down the same day to apply for the permit required by the city. Once the permit was available I called him and he came out the next day and did the work. It was so great to see a young man that knows what customer service is all about. He was punctual, so much so that the first day he arrived at the house before i did. He was informative, polite and a really good plumber. He cleaned up so thoroughly that you would never know that he was there except for the brand new pipes. I couldn't recommend him enough.

With little time to get the water on prior to a scheduled inspection, I called QNS to get a quick appointment. In the midst of a snowstorm and an apparently busy schedule, Quincy managed to fit us in with less than 24 hours notice. And, his company is more than 30 miles away from the home. He quoted me a price on the phone, but charged us $100 less when he finished the work. He was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. He shared his expertise when asked various questions regarding the property. I would, no doubt, use QNS in the future.

Quincy was great! He is so nice, so professional, humble, prompt, and very smart at what he does. We found him here on angieslist, and I selected him based on the rave reviews he received. We had a drain that for many years has overflowed from the washing machine. We had so many plumbers "clean" the drain, and charge us a fortune, only to have the drain flood the laundry room floor again. Quincy was the only plumber who found the clog and solved the problem. As a matter of fact, the clog he found caused an unforseen leak in a basement pipe as it was washing out of the drain. We felt so bad, but we needed to call him up around midnight when we saw the problem. He immediately came back, fixed the situation, cleaned everything up, and did not charge us for an emergency call. Hire Quincy with confidence, you won't regret it. He will have our future business. I was told that I needed a new sump pump. I was given information on the two major sump pump manufacturers and the most appropriate sump pump for my cellar. The following day the new pump was installed. It has worked flawlessly since installed.

Quincy came over to check small leak in Basement. He checked all pipes and ensured that it was not plumbing related. Afterall it was not based on my basement waterproofing company. He is very thorough. He did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. He was very honest and kind. I liked him a lot. Will definitely hire him when I have any issue with plumbing.

He is great, calls back and is reliable. He is a reasonably priced plumber and is somebody you can trust. Whatever he tells you is usually on point and he will tell you whether you should or shouldn't do something. He is honest and busy so I leave a message and he will call me back, usually within a 24-hour time span. I have not used him for emergencies. His price is reasonable; he could be a little cheaper but his quality is good. He is a great guy and I have referred him to others.

I had a busted pipe in my house which result in a sheet of ice on the front step and sidewalk. I called a couple of the award winners on Angie List to see if I could get somebody to repair the pipe. The first place I call, said that they will send a tech out, but called back 30 minutes later and said that since it is not a heat problem, they will not be able to come out tonight. I called QNS around 7:30PM, told they that I had a busted piped and ask if anyone was available to help. I was told no, and that was the end of the called. I called back 5 minute later, because I had a general question for Quincy, is a busted pipe considered an emergency? I didn't want to keep calling different companies trying to get someone to come out if this jobs was not consider an emergency? I told Quincy that I have a sheet of ice outside and water in the porch overhang. He told me that yes, that would be consider an emergency. He told me that I did not tell him that, I just asked him if anyone was available for a busted pipe. He also told me that he was on a job right now and could not just drop anything to come to my location. I never asked him to drop what he was doing and to come over immediately, I did expect that with a company with such high ratings, he will suggest a time when he will be available, but I just got the feeling that I was taking up his time. I didn't have the option to put N/A for the overall rating. I can't judge this company based on a 5 minute conversation, I just wasn't happy with the tone of the conversation.

I discovered a slow leak in my kitchen but was unsure where it was coming from. I found QNS Plumbing on Angie's List and contacted the business.Quincey Spann, the proprietor of the business, came out to check the souce of the leak. He determined that my dishwasher was the source of the proplem. We discussed the merits of having someone coming in to repair it as opposed to buying a new one. In the end, I decided to purchase a new dishwasher. Mr. Spann came out within a day after I contacted him, called to let me know he would be delayed due to complications on another job, and did not charge me for coming out. He was polite and professional at all times.

Excellent. QNS does a great job, we're very happy with the work they do. This was our 2nd time using QNS and we're planning to have them back to give us estimates on replacing our boiler. Quincy is a professional; the service and quality of his work is fantastic. He even accommodated us and came to our house on a Sunday to do the job.

Excellent experience; today the drains would not drain, and the toilet would not flush. Came to Angie's List to find a highly rated plumbing company, and found QNS to be highly rated and had great reviews, so called QNS and left a message regarding the problem. Quincy promptly got back to me and said he would come right away, even though it was a Sunday. He arrived in 30 minutes, and discovered that the problem was roots that had gone into the sewer lines. He spent time fixing the problem, and charged an extremely reasonable rate for this work. He was very accomodating --- polite, clean, respectful, and above all, he did a great job efficiently fixing my plumbing problems. I would highly recommend him, and will contact Quincy going forward if I ever have the need!
