We did not go with this price quote. ?it was too expensive

I wasn’t too happy with them. They were high-pressure sales people and they just turned me off with their pressure. So, I won’t even consider them. They call me all the time and tell me that I am on their list but I would really like is for somebody to come out and just fix what I have. I have got 22 windows in this house and I am not ready to replace them. I told them to come back in six months and I would talk to them. They actually came back in three months and I told them that I am not interested in it at that time. They tried again three months later, and in fact, I got a call from them a few days ago, and I told that they should really take me off their list because I was not interested in using them. I have said that to them before and they still haven’t done that. They were a little pushy when they came out and they gave me their card. They called to make the appointment and they wanted to sit down with me and my wife before they would give us a price. I didn’t want that and my too didn’t want to talk to them because they were just too high-pressure. They just turned me off with their pressure and I don’t want to see them.

They are fantastic. I liked everything they did, from the sales rep that came out to talk to me and give me an estimate on the price, the measuring people, the installation people, the product, to the staff in Cranford. It was very excellent work. They were wonderful. They are great. The windows are not cheap but they are very special windows. They weren’t low, but I would say they were medium priced. I was satisfied with the price.

I was not pleased with the fact that the salesman never explained that the windows would not look like my existing windows and we asked that question numerous times. WIth regard to the installation the installers marred my walls and cracked my internal trim, which I will have to repair. Additionally, they dropped something on my heat register and dented it. I feel that salesman did not fully explain the difference in the windows and the installers were not carefull about what they were doing. I would not ues them again. I would seek another alternative!

After a three hour presentation, with glitches, I was presented with an estimate of $23,000!!! I wish they would have given me an idea of the price earlier, so I would not have wasted so much of my time.

Still do not know about Jewel replacements as the work has not been started yet, but they had good rating on Angie's List and also my husband has a coworker who liked them.

Salesman overstayed his welcome by about 3 hours. Very pushy and overbearing. So much so that when my wife was running late for the appointment I texted her not to come home so we didn't both have to subject ourselves to the pitch. Anderson's products speak for themselves so we planned on spending a significant amount of money and really only needed measurements and a quote but the salesman ruined it. Pitch was approx. 4 hours and included videos, pamphlets and demos. The nail in the coffin was that the price was 32,000 (expected) but if we signed that day it would go down to 26,000. If we wanted to wait 1 day it would go back to 32,000 per "order of the president of company". In his day and age there is no need for encyclopedia salesmen tactics. Very disappointed.

We had our windows replaced on the first and second floors - they are beautiful - the installers were neat - our windows actually came in a week early - the project was very pricey however the quality of the product and the attention to detail before installation and of course the installation itself were above board - we have been able to keep the heat lower by several degrees and the noise reduction is amazing (we live on an intersection) - I want to get the attic windows replaced :)

Sales representative was professional and offered several options to meet our needs and budget. Installation team was punctual and knowledgeable. Tarps were placed on our floors and rugs, clean up was great from removing all debris to vacuuming and mopping the areas involved. Installation team was focused on making us happy and satisfied with the job. On completion we did a full inspection of the windows and doors along with the installation areas to be assured of proper installation and clean up. I wanted a handle on the large sliding window and it was added with no hassle.Would definitely use them again for other replacement windows. Have always had Andersen windows and doors and have had no complaints and no problem having glass replaced on a window that lost its seal. The company honors its warranty with no problem.

They came at the time they said they were going to come were clean very polite CLEANED UP after installing the windows and I am quite satisfied

A very nice, local man. Very respectful, polite, neat & professional. A little too-hard of a sell. Stayed way too long, but understood this, as we were considering the purchase. Still, way too long. He didn't use scare-tactics or anything like that, but came up with all the reasons we should buy those windows. I guess it's an understandable part of the job, but tried to lead our thinking a little too much, instead of helping us figure out what was really realistic for us, and in our better interest. We also found the color choices to be more limiting than we expected, and to get the look we wanted, the a la crate add-on's brought the estimate up significantly. When we finally made the decision that it was just too much for our situation, we discussed how Anderson new construction windows would be the better option for us, and he was supportive of that. We do like Anderson windows a lot, and may use them to replace our old, shot Marvin's, but new construction would ultimately be our better option. We don't regret the meeting and education, and would still recommend Anderson Renewal's for those who can afford them, but if you aren't that higher-end market, I wouldn't suggest the long, subtle-pressured meeting into being one.

When we called, the receptionist was very friendly. We were surprised that they required both of us to be present. We didn't like that. The presentation was way too long, beyond 1.5 hrs. Mike was friendly and informative. We also had him quote replacement of 4 windows. His goal was to close the sale same day. It became a bit overwhelming, even though Mike kept insisting "no pressure". The sales tactics were aggressive and we were turned off by end of presentation. The product seemed over priced. We didn't like the "buy it now" or lose out on the discount and 0 percent financing offer. That was the final straw. We saw advertising afterward on TV for the 0 percent offer. There were also coupon offers in Angie's List that he never mentioned.

Andersen did an excellent job. They were here on time, completed the job the same day and left our house as clean as they found it. The quality of the door is excellent. Our only problem was that the vinyl clad operating panel was scratched. Renewal was very good about it and had it replaced. However, the replacement panel also has a similar scratch in the same area. It looks like Andersen has a quality control problem .

I called the 800 number for information and to set up a consultation. They were available to come out tomorrow morning which was great, but they wanted my husband to be here as well and wouldn't set up something w/o him. This kind of thing I like to take care of during the week. This is 2013 and I absolutely do not need my husband to be home in order to make an informed decision. When I asked how the renewal windows compared to Anderson windows she said their quote would come in "much higher" than the quote we currently have from a very well known and respected contractor in town using Anderson (not renewal) windows. We will NOT be using them.

They were really very good. The job went very well. When they will explain things to you and give you an estimate, they want both of you to be there. They will tell you that they want an hour and a half to talk to you. They are very thorough, they come when they say they'll come and they will call to confirm their appointment so they can show up on time. The window products are also nice. It certainly are not cheap but they did a nice job. We were happy with them.

We had an excellent experience from beginning to end. We made the decisions to replace 80% of the windows in our home. Within days of making the decision, someone from Renewal came to measure the windows. Each window is made specifically for each window. We were told that the windows would be in approximately one month. The windows were completed within this time frame. The morning that the windows were installed, an entire crew arrived at our home and they worked in a neat and efficient manner to complete the work in a 7 hour time frame. All debris was removed and our home was left in immaculate condition.

We received a coupon for 20 percent off and made an appointment. Anderson was very specific: both homeowners had to be present and we had to agree to give them a full 90 minutes for their presentation. We received an email confirming the appointment. I am a busy professional and I work many Saturdays, and so a Saturday without work is very precious to me. This Saturday was a gorgeous sunny day, and my wife and I waited dutifully for the person from Anderson to show up, but he/she never did. We called the company and find out that they had tried to call us the day before and since they were unable to confirm with us, they cancelled the appointment. But the appointment was already confirmed! Not only that, but not even a courtesy of an email or a phone call to say "since we didn't hear from you, we aren't showing up." The message is obvious: Anderson values the time of its salespeople more than it values the time of its customers. My time is valuable to me, and I won't do business with a company that is so cavalier about wasting my time. After this rude treatment, I did some more research. I read the fine print on their coupon, and you get the discount only if you sign on the spot. What kind of tactic is that? Obviously they don't want you to do any comparison shopping. Since we called the 800 number on their coupon, they know we have the coupon and they will just adjust the price accordingly. It's a fake discount. They demand that both spouses be at home and 90 minutes of your time in order to make a hard sell. Why is a hard sell necessary? Anderson has an excellent reputation for the quality of the windows, so the hard sell is to get you to pay a ridiculous price for the windows. I see what others have paid and I just shake my head. You cannot justify paying double or triple the price because of quality, and the energy savings will never amortize the cost. We will get our windows somewhere else.

Of the windows replaced, three were original to the house (1960's) and five were vinyl windows that had been installed about ten years ago. The vinyl windows were poor quality and the installation was defective. I went with this company in part because I have had good experiences with Anderson windows and doors. I saw the company at a local home show. The product looked good on display and it was real Anderson, not a similar-named alternative. That was something I was concerned about. We made an appointment for the sales rep to come to the house. The sales rep showed up on time. He was a nice guy, but I was really turned off by the hard sell and the three hours it took. To get the best price we had to commit then and there (while he was at our house). When I heard that, my first reaction was to show him the door, but my wife really wanted the windows done. I thought the price we got for the windows was really high, but I have since moderated on this. It took a month for the windows to come in and be ready for installation (over Christmas). The installation was quickly scheduled (it was in their off season possibly (January)). I was really pleased with everything else after the sales pitch. The installers showed up in the morning on time. The crew was very pleasant, polite, and neat. They started work and did not stop until finished. They did not have to remove much of the inside trim. The outside was completely redone, as it needed to be in our situation. The reason I have moderated on the price issue is because of the quality of the work on the installation. With the old vinyl windows I was starting to get water intrusion. Since this installation, no water. The aluminum trim is neat and tight. The sills are pitched away from the windows so the water drains away. The caulk is very neat and there are no gaps. The installation crew did a very good job, almost excellent, and they cleaned up very well. I did not find any screws or nails on the ground afterward. The windows all operate smoothly. My wife and I are happy with the windows and installation.

The crew showed up at 9:00 am with all of the materials, the windows and everything they needed to complete the job. They came into my house, explained what they were doing, how long it would take and if there were any questions I had or additional info I needed to convey. They began demolishing my old windows and patio door immediately and worked through the day without stopping. I was very pleased. Andersen renewal windows are different from other windows. There is no cutting down to the rough opening. The windows fit within the existing framework. No siding is removed, no reframing is necessary. Because it fits within the structure, you lose the existing sill and the opening around the window. We now will hang our blinds on the outside of the mount. You lose an inch or two of the glass size as well. No big deal, I can live with that. The materials used in the window is first rate, a composite which is very strong, rigid and most of all, insulating. It must increase the R value of the window by 50% over aluminum windows, and the rigidity by 100% over vinyl. The trim around the windows is also first rate and insulated, sealed and picture perfect. The other thing about these windows is this: Andersen guarantee's the windows for a specific time. The Renewal folks extend this to a LIFETIME guarantee. All in all, a fantastic deal!
