We've used Energy Aide before for blown in insulation. (Great product!) Found Tony Leone really easy to work with. If you don't need something, he will actually tell you so instead of selling for the sake of selling. This time we needed 2 new 8' patio doors. Went to Tony to see what he had to offer & was satisfied with the product & price. We ordered & was told it would take approx. 5 weeks to have made. The only reason I gave him a "B" for punctuality was because it took 2 weeks longer than expected but I think that had more to do with the manufacturer than with Tony. He was apologetic & kept us informed. The installers were very professional. They had the 2 patio doors installed, the interior casings (we supplied) installed, everything caulked & sealed by 1:30 that afternoon. Everything cleaned up. Quick & efficient. Have recommended Energy Aide before & will continue to do so.

It went really well. Andrew and Matt are so professional and they make sure we are satisfied with their work. They make sure the bedroom is clean afterwards by even vacuumed the room. BTW, they come out their way (>50 miles) to take care of customer like me and arrived at the exact time they said they would be at my house. I recommend Energy Aide to everyone. They are straightforward and trustworthy!

It went well. We got estimates from 3 Angies list companies and Tony's was more reasonable. All 3 were professional. It did not take long for work to commence. Tony and Andrew came out second day to inspect job in progress. It looks wonderful and I think we were lucky to have such a wonderful company and crew working for us.

After dealing with other contractors, Tony and his team were a breath of fresh air. He was very knowledgeable and had reasonable pricing. Because we agreed upon having our windows installed before we moved in, Tony took great measures to get that accomplished. His installer also went above and beyond during his time here. We are definitely planning to use them again for other items on our house and would recommend them to any/everyone.

The initial consult Andrew came over explained the whole proces to me about the product and what they where gonna do. He was proffessional and answered all my questions . Not at any point was he a pushy salesman I felt comfortable. I went ahead and purchased the attic job. He come over two days later to do the job and I couldn't be any happier with the results. He was on time communicated very well with me . The job site was cleaned up very nicely. Will definitely be using energy aide again in the future. He also was awesome with my three dogs that are loud and just want attention. Energy aide is the way Togo ?

Amazing experience from consult through installation ! My initial contact with Energy Aide occurred on Saturday 2/13 when the owner of the company, Anthony arrived at my home for the attic inspection. Anthony spent over an hour in my home outlining energy saving strategies and walking me through options to improve the insulation in the attic. He was direct, thorough, and informative. Once we settled on a price, his son, Andrew called to set up an appointment for the installation, Tuesday 2/22. They arrived promptly and were couteous and professional. While walking through the scope of work, Andrew notice some significant water infiltration from our roof's ridge vent. He informed me of the problem and, at no additional cost, proceeded to clean up the excess water. He proceeded with the install (outside of the problem area), placed me in contact with a roofer, and pledged to return and complete the job once the roofing fix had been certified. Andrew had a choice that morning in my attic. He could have easily focused on the narrow scope of work, blown the insulation over the trouble spots, and never said a word. He was not hired to diagnose a roof leak or clean up standing water. Instead, he was focused on the homeowner, and went above and beyond to ensure things were done the right way.

Afterwards, I felt a draft. This year (2016) I installed insulation and it was obvious there was a leak. They came out and determined that the issue was with the molding. I hired a contractor and he confirmed it is an issue with the window and not the molding at all. The regular window also has a draft, but it is not quite as bad. Update 2/10/16 In response to Energy Aide, I put on window insulation film using adhesive tape around the molding. That is all I did since Energy Aide installed the windows. Please be clear the film is not the cause of the leaking. I did this because of the leaking after Energy Aide installed the windows and the room was cold. No other insulation was done by anyone else. I called the contractor to come in to fix the molding as Tony of Energy Aide suggested, and the contractor found nothing wrong with the molding. Instead, he found that the window's bottom right corner is leaking. I put my hand there and I can feel the air blows in from there. If necessary, I am glad to have Energy Aide, Angie's List, and the contractor all coming in to inspect the window together.

A PICTURE WINDOW WAS INSTALLED WELL OVER A YEAR AGO.....A PICTURE WINDOW DOES NOT OPEN OR CLOSE. ...IT IS ONE STATIONARY UNIT THAT IS INSTALLED WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE WALL THEN CAULK ED AND FINISHED WITH WOOD MOLDING ON THE INSIDE....IT CAN NOT LEAK AIR BECAUSE THERE IS NO OPRATING PARTS ON IT. THE CUSTOMER STATES HE DID INSULATION (WHERE AND WHAT) I DO NOT KNOW. AND THEN GOT AIR INFILTRATION. THAT IS WHY HE WAS ADVISED TO CHECK THE MOLDING AROUND THE WINDOW . NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THIS WINDOW INSTALLATION UNTIL HE HAD INSULATION DONE BY OTHERS , POSSIBLY THE SAME CONTRACTOR THAT TOLD HI'M A. PICTURE WINDOW IS LEAKING AIR AND NOT THE MOLDING AROUND IT. Update 2/23/16: on Feb 17th two representatives and the owner of ENERGY AIDE went to me with Mr. Li at his home. A leaf blower was used to blow air around the outside perimeter of the window {approx. 50mph} while a lit flame was used around the interior of the window. There was ABSOLUTELY NO AIR INFILTRATION to the inside. The homeowner saw this. This is proof positive that there is NO air coming thru the window or perimeter.

IT HAD NOYHING TO DO WITH INSULATION FOR HIS HOME AS INDICATED IN HIS REVIEW. THIS WAS CONFIRMED WITH THE ORIGINAL REQUEST FOR SEVICE ON FILE AT ANGIES LIST. HIS LIMITED INFOR\MATION INQUIRY AS WELL AS HIS RESPONSE WERE TOTALLY CONFUSING . POSSIBLY HE IS MIXING UP SOME SERVICE VENDORS. GLAD HE GOT SOMEONE ELSE TO HELP HIM.

Tony was extremely patient with us and ensured that all of our questions were thoroughly answered and explained when we were deciding on a contractor to side our home. He was honest about what was needed and things that we could do without-we did not feel pressured in any way or that Tony was trying to sell us on unnecessary upgrades. His honesty and treating us like family made us ultimately decide on Energy Aide and we did not regret it once! Tony regularly came to the house to check up on the progress and his team was very professional and friendly. The price was extremely reasonable and the end result is fantastic. Our neighbors regularly comment on how nicely the siding and windows turned out. We will continue to use Energy Aide for all of our home improvement needs and will refer them to everyone we can!

.Tony(the owner) was excellent to work with and really went above and beyond for me. He treated me like family, had my best interests in mind, and provided a lot of unexpected assistance (like spending the time to shop with me to pick out stone to be put on my house after the siding was done). His workers were friendly, trustworthy and did a great job with attention to detail like finishing off the light switches, faucet covers, electrical outlets, etc. The job took a little longer than I expected because of a delayed starting date, and shorter hours worked during the day by the crew, but the end result was worth the wait! It still looks great after a year.

Our entire house has poor air sealing and unimpressive insulation, but the area above the garage was particularly bad in the master bedroom and bath. The first time Tony visited, he gave us an overview of possible options and asked us to remove some drywall so he could get a good look at the structure. It was quite a while later when we got around to making the holes, and Tony visited again. He patiently explained his recommendation, and we agreed to proceed. One problem is that a small void area communicates with the outside, but did not have enough air sealing and insulation to the rooms. This needed some polystyrene panels over the insulation, and insulation blown into the bottom of the void. To insulate better from the garage, insulation was also blow in between the garage ceiling and the floor above. Tony and his son were able to fit in the work right before Thanksgiving, and took less than four hours for everything. The rooms are much, much warmer in the cold weather than they were before, which is particularly important this winter to keep the pipes from freezing. They also did a couple of small things that I appreciated. First, they took down a picture in the bedroom so that it wouldn't fall while they were hammering in the panels. Second, they left me some extra insulation that they could see I would need for finishing some bathroom remodeling that was underway.

This has been the worst ordeal i have been through service wise. in my original post i noted Tony rectified the situation. I was wrong. the terrible job he did is now sagging. we asked him to come see what his name is on and he has refused. he wont take our calls. but when he doesnt recognize our phone number, he pucks up (yes. we have had to use phone numbers he doesnt recognize to reach him). when he picks up those calls, he keeps asking us to take measurements on product that his team missed and the boards that are sagging and he will be by to fix. i am a woman so i bet he never expected id have the crawl space checked out.

This job was to install a Rigid Foam Insulation Board OVER her existing fiberglass insulation in her crawl space. When the job was completed, the customer's brother contacted us to inform us that there were some small areas that were covered that had NO FIBERGLASS insulation under the foam board. Our contract was to COVER existing fiberglass,NOT to supply and install new fiberglass insulation! At NO CHARGE to the customer we supplied and installed the fiberglass insulation that was missing in the areas that the brother requested, although it was NOT part of our contract. After this was done we received our review on Angie's List and as the customer stated, we rectified an issue that was NOT our problem. Months later, we received another call from her saying there was another area where there was missing fiberglass insulation. I told him if he wants to install the fiberglass insulation himself that somehow is now missing, I will send someone back to re-install the foam board when I have another job in the area. The only reason for me to ask for measurements was because the area that the customers brother installed the missing fiberglass insulation (that was not part of the contract) Now needs new foam board insulation also! AMAZING! Our contract was completed a long time ago and all this nonsense is because fiberglass insulation was missing prior to the start of the job and after the customer said in her review the work was rectified and completed.

The EnergyAide owner, Tony, was very personable during the sales process and I chose him over a few others. The "Big Deal" did not come close to covering my home so we did not go that route (square footage of deal offered at Angie's). The overall product was very good (the house looks great). The price was a bit higher than I anticipated from the outset but there were no unexpected charges (the price we agreed on was the final price). There were a few issues with this provider and I would not recommend them unless you understand and do not feel they are enough to chose another contractor. First, communications were difficult at times. Although we never discussed having to have all the foliage/branches etc cleared from the home prior to the siding, I assumed the house needed to be cleared and did so. When delays in starting the job became an issue to me (I signed the deal on June 20th and was told the work would begin in mid to late July), I contacted Tony and he rather briskly informed me that "his man had checked out the house and the house condition was terrible and not yet ready for the siding". I informed Tony we had never discussed this but that I had, on my own, assumed I should clear the house of foliage and brush and had been working on the house, after work, for weeks including getting stung by bees (which I had professionally exterminated so HIS men would not get stung). I told him to specifically tell me his complaints so I could make every effort to accommodate his needs. He agreed to this but still the work did not start for over a month. Once the work started, I noted the workers came only for a few hours most days and that the dumpster they were using was being filled up with items clearly not from the job on site (I found several doors in the dumpster). They were paying for the dumpster so I did not object until the dumpster was removed and several items had been left on my lawn (including one of the doors!). I called Tony who apologized and had the items removed within a day or so. After the dumpster was removed, I found dozens and dozens of nails all over my driveway. I spent quite some time picking them up (carefully) but still missed a few (I picked up one just a few days ago in fact....now November 10). Again, the outcome (the work itself) looks great but I did not enjoy my interactions with Energy Aide and I would not recommend them unless the person is prepared for delays and possibly some communication issues. I would urge anyone going with them to make sure to call frequently before and during the process of the job. You should also nail down all the timings of the project since it was obvious to me the workers were doing multiple jobs at the same time. I still gave them an above B rating since the house looks great and, perhaps, that is enough for most people.

I AM GLAD THE HOMEOWNER IS HAPPY WITH THE FINISHED PRODUCT. OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE EVERY HOMEOWNER BE PROUD OF THE WAY THEIR HOME LOOKS AFTER THE WORK IS COMPLETED. THE ISSUES WITH THIS JOB WERE AS FOLLOWS A) TO ACCOMODATE THE CUSTOMERS CHOICE OF SIDING COLOR WE HAD TO BUY A SPECIFIC PRODUCT FROM A SUPPLIER THAT HAD TO ORDER IT B) THE OVERGROTH OF SHRUBBERY,VINES AND FOLIAGE ON AND IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE HOUSE WOULD BE A PROBLEM IN STAGING OUR SCAFFOLDING AND LADDER JACKS AND NEEDED TO BE REMOVED FOR SAFETY C) ALTHOUGH I HAD GIVEN MY CELL NUMBER TO THE HOMEOWNER....HE ONLY RESPONDED VIA E-MAIL TO MY OFFICE AND IGNORED CALLING MY CELL FOR AN IMMEDIATE ANSWER TO ANY QUESTION HE MAY HAVE HAD. WHEN THE JOB WAS COMPLETED THE CREW USES A MAGNETIC BROOM TO PICK UP ANY NAILS ON THE GROUND, ANY NAILS THAT MAY FALL OUT OF CRACKS OR RUSTED AREAS OF THE DUMPSTER WHEN IT IS REMOVED ...ARE THE RESPONSABILITY OF THE DRIVER OF THE DUMPSTER COMPANY. UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE NO CONTROL ON THIS ASPECT OF THE JOB SINCE MY CREW IS ALREADY GONE FROM THE SITE.. THE COMPANY WAS NOTIFIED AND MY APPOGIES TO THE HOMEOWNER. OUR GOAL IS FOR ALL RESPONSES TO BE AN : A : WE WILL TRY HARDER NEXT TIME !!!!!

I could've sworn I had already written a review for Tony and Energy Aide, but I guess it didn't post when I did it over a year ago. Tony was great. He sat down with my wife and I and thoroughly explained all our options when we were looking to replace our siding and all off our windows. He spent over an hour at our house, making sure we understood everything, and just chatting. I believe we signed the contract that night. Within the next couple of days his crew came and measured all of our existing windows and put in the order for the replacements. We waited about 6 weeks for the windows to be made, but once they came in it took the crew one day to replace all 18 windows. They also removed all our old aluminum siding and replaced with beautiful new vinyl siding in just a few days. The crew was punctual, polite, and cleaned up well. I can't say enough good things about Tony and Energy Aide. Our house looks great thanks to them. Price and date are an estimate. I think we got a big deal

I chose Energy Aide after reading reviews from other Angies List members. Tony Leone, owner of Energy Aide, scheduled an appointment the day after my call. Tony explained everything and even suggested that I didn't need all the windows that I thought needed replacing. He was informative, courteous and very professional and convinced me on his first visit that Energy Aide was the company I would hire. Tony explained that after I received board approval (I live in a condominium complex), he would/could complete the job in 4 to 6 weeks as he had to special order the windows to meet the association's requirements. I had to call him occasionally and he returned all calls on the same day. As promised, the windows arrived five weeks later and he scheduled two men to complete the job, George and Billy. I can't say enough about these gentlemen. I had custom-made shades on all my windows that I didn't think could be salvaged as well as alarm sensors on my windows. The alarm company gave me a price of replacing the sensors (labor and materials) and I was close to canceling the window replacements due to that additional cost as well as replacing the custom shades. George and Billy were able to place the custom shades back onto the windows as well as show me how to save labor and materials costs from the alarm company and all this at no additional cost from Energy Aide. They both worked from the moment they arrived (on schedule) til all was completed. They did an excellent job; in fact, beyond my expectations. Tony Leone, the owner, showed up to ensure all was going well and assured me that if there were any problems I should contact him immediately. When George and Billy completed the installation of the windows, screens, shades, etc., they then surprised me further by washing (both inside and outside) all windows and did a superior job of everything. I highly recommend this group.
