Description of Work: Energy Aide installed more insulation in our attic. | |We had the problem of having parts of our house being |colder than others on days in the winter and parts of |our house being warmer than others on days in the summer. |The temperature difference was on cold days 5 degrees between |the upstairs and downstairs | |Tony the owner came out to visit us two days after |I made arrangements through Angie's List. He did |not try to sell anything. What he did was to walk |through our entire house examining where there |might be leakage of warm air to the outside. He |spent easily an hour and a half in checking out |all three levels of the house | |Then he indicated where he thought the best results |could be obtained for the least cost. He has been in |the business for over thirty years so we listened. |We decided on 8 inches of cellulose insulation in |our never used attic and replacing a door between |our unheated garage and the rest of the house. The |door was not properly installed when the house was |built. His suggestion was to remove the old door |and frame and replace them with a new prehung door. | |His son came the next week and put in the insulation. |Immediately, the house was far quieter and the upstairs |became quickly within 2-3 degrees of the down stairs. | |The new door has yet to arrive but we expect a great result |from that as well.

Description of Work: Vinyl sided house with premium siding including all trim and soffits; installed new front door and storm door; removed in-wall air conditioner, replacing with a hopper window; installed new gutters/downspouts. The job was done professionally with utmost care to detail. Very pleased with the result and would use again, and recommend to others.

Description of Work: They installed spray insulation in my attic. In addition, they removed the attic floor an condensed it to a corner of the attic. This helped to enable the use of more insulation which what we wanted.

Description of Work: Very pleasant and professional process all around. The cost was significantly higher than expected due to the size of the attic, which was the only negative. Otherwise, we were pleased with the service and would definitely consider using them again.

Description of Work: Called Energy Aide for an estimate on replacement windows for my home. Tony worked with me even as the project changed several times and eventually, grew away from his primary business. Always profressional and responsive.

Description of Work: Blown-in cellulose insulation in exterior walls of entire house and attic.

Description of Work: Insulated a full attic in a Colonial house with blown in cellulose, and two basement crawl spaces (under a three room addition) with fiberglass bats covered with insulating styrofoam board. Also installed full house gutters and downspouts, reconfiguring some of the gutters to distribute the runoff more efficiently and with less problem to the foundation of the house. This was at a cost of $ 1,385.00.
