We've used Sav-a-tree several times since our initial service call, and have been very satisfied with them. They are very professional and knowledgeable (Ryan knows more about trees than anyone I've ever met), show up on time and get the job done. We've used them also to prune our trees and to provide a soil treatment for our withering Hemlock. They aren't the least expensive company in town, but we feel the cost meets the quality we receive from them.

We recently bought a house and had a number of trees that needed to be taken down, some overgrown bushes removed, as well as some pruning of other trees and plants in the yard. Though we contacted several service providers, we ultimately went with SavATree in Mountainside and are very, very pleased that we did. Aside from a high level of professionalism, the team demonstrated a very deep understanding of our yard and took the time to explain how they would get the job done. On the day of the job, the team showed up on time and dug in for a long, hard day of work. They stuck to the plan, executed beautifully and (again) took the time to make sure there was no mess left behind. My wife and I remain thrilled with the end result: our new house now looks even better than it did thanks to SavATree. Highly recommend and will gladly use again.

They arrived when they said they would be here. Area was well cleaned when jobwas done. Tree looks great. They did a wonderful job.

They are extremely professional and very organized. They are media savvy as far as emails and electronic billing. I am very impressed with them every time they stop by. They really have their act together.

I have been a customer of SavATree and SavALawn for a few years. The prices are a but high but I have used other services and have found SavATree to be the best service overall. I will be using them again for pruning of an oak and treatment of a pine. I also started using the Lawn service for a hybrid organic treatment program for my lawn this year.

Their service was fine. We were pleased with them. They came in and they did exactly what they said they would do. The price was reasonable versus other people. We were happy with the disposition and the clean up afterwards.

Ryan was very knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions regarding the diagnosis. I was contacted by phone the day before the job was scheduled. ( I had been given an estimated time.) The crew was efficient. All branches and dust from the wood chipper were removed. Ryan contacted me again after the job was finished.

We were very happy with their service. They arrived punctually. They had a full crew. They had all the equipment that they needed and they did a very good job. They pruned everything as they said they would. They had a listing of everything we had gone through before they came and we had got prices on. They seemed very well organized. They did do a real good clean up so we were happy with them. Their prices depend on what the client wants. I had a neighbor who used them as well and she had very little done and so her price was a lot lower than mine. We had pretty extensive pruning done like cutting down of branches down and so on. So I don’t think that price should really matter. Their clean up was very good and the person who came out to look at everything ahead of time and give us a quote of what we wanted to be done, he had a degree in forestry and was very familiar with trees and shrubs. He is knowledgeable and he certainly is the tree man. They were very punctual and professional. He came several times during the day to check on his men. I thought they were quite good overall. I think their price was fair. Quality wise I really have nothing to complain about. They were very professional, they came when they said they would, they did what they said they would do and they did do a complete and speedy cleanup. I recommend them and I would use them in the future.

We recently purchased a house that has a lot of overgrown trees. We called Savatree to come out, give us an estimate on pruning and to make some suggestions about how to deal with our lawn. We loved Steve (the arborist) and went ahead and hired Savatree on the spot. Thank goodness we did. About a day later (as Hurricane Irene approached), we got an email from the company giving us a special customer code that we could use in case of a hurricane-related emergency. And boy did we need that code. During the hurricane, a broken tree (which had been precariously dangling above the electrical service to our house) got tangled in the wires and began pulling them down. We were concerned it was going to rip the service right off and drop a live wire into our yard. I called the emergency number and immediately spoke to someone at Savatree who helped me assess the situation. Although we were not an emergency yet (unlike other folks who had trees come down on their houses), they took the situation very seriously and told me what to do if the tree succeeding in ripping the wires out. I was contacted by Steve within minutes of getting off the phone with the Savatree emergency contact person, and he made arrangements to come to the house and take care of the problem as soon as was humanly possible. The tree is now gone (thanks to Savatree), our electrical service is safe, and Savatree has some new and very dedicated customers.

Purchased Angie's List Deal for tree service. Within 3 days received phone call from Savatree to schedule an estimate. Jody came out and analyzed the work to be done and provided written estimate that day. He seemed very knowledeable and gave a thorough description of the work. Work was scheduled to start 3 weeks from signing contract. I wasn't home to observe the whole time, but was told their crew starts up at top of tree and prune dead branches from top unlike some companies that cut just from the bottom and not do the tough work higher up. Clean up was fine but not perfect, there were still some leaves and twigs on the lawn. Final price was ok with Angie's List deal. Online payment accepted. Would use them again.

Very punctual. Brought in large heavy equipment and did it without incident or accident. The guys were pros, taking down the tree limb by limb without incident. Worked hard and long and finished in less than a day. They took away all parts of the tree. They left a lot of sawdust behind; however, they came out about a week later to feed the trees and in the process saw the saw dust and cleaned up everything without my having to ask. They also cut the stems of ivy growing on the trees and did some additional pruning on a large tree without charge for bringing back the equipment, since, the manager said, they should have seen that when they were here for the tree removal. They have well educated arborists on staff who walk the property discussing each tree, its likely health and its needs. As a result, I hired them to feed all the trees which they did for an additional several hundred dollars.

We were very pleased with them. The price we paid to have the tree cut down was reasonable. They brought a big piece of equipment in, used a rope and cut it down. They dragged it away and also ground up the stump. We would tell others that we were very pleased with their service. They did lawn fertilization, over seeded and got rid of poison ivy.

The crew arrived early in the morning, so they were ready to begin work as soon as we peeked out the window and realized they were there. They worked quickly and efficiently, and were willing to pleasantly answer any question we asked them. They cleaned up as much of the "mess" created with all the cutting and chipping as was possible with rakes and blowers. The job took them approximately 4 hours to complete. They were very experienced and accommodating. I would highly recommend them, and certainly use them again if needed.

They were very professional and responsive. I received a slightly lower estimate else where so I ended up not using them.

The initial consult was smooth. Jodi was patient with our questions (we're new homeowners) and gave us detailed answers. His quote was specific. Since ours was a small job for them but required a chipper we agreed to be flexible with our schedule and they scheduled our house with a larger job. We rescheduled once or twice due to the recent winter storms. They arrived on-time the morning of the job, a crew of 4 guys went to work immediately and addressed every item on the quote. There were no surprises, no gotcha's. They were very clean, courteous, professional. We're bringing them back in the Spring to do some more work for us. They did a great job.

First appointment was cancelled due to lightning weather forcast. On the day of service, 1 crew member was not available so the supervisor stayed to assist crew. There was a glitch at the start because they hadn't measured our driveway properly - so we needed to get in touch with our neighbors and get permission to park the trimming truck in their driveway. I was glad that I was there to talk to my neighbor and make sure that went smoothly. They worked diligently for hours in the rain and did a very good job on everything we discussed prior to service. They cleaned up everything in both our yard and the debris fallen in neighbors driveway and per our request chipped up our branches, etc. so we could recycle them as mulch. The supervisor also went above and beyond by removing some bags of lawn debris that we had in our garage, which saved us a lot of "disposal headaches".

Their rep showed up early in the morning before I left for work to go over the project in detail and walk around the property. He was friendly and thorough and answered all of my questions. He called me later that day to tell me the work was done. When I got back home that night, everything was cleaned up, no wood chips around, and the work was done as explained to me.

The work they did was very good. They were professional and prompt. Everything was great except they were a little more expensive than the other companies. They are also a national company which is nice.

The man that came out to do the trees was an arborist. The purpose of the company is to save trees and not remove them. They came out and gave a free estimate. They prioritized the trees before they did the work. If I wanted a tree cut down and removed, I would find a cheaper place. Savatree enhances the growth of the tree and saves it.

SavATree sent out an arborist to discuss the work to be done. The crew did a good job. They had to come back to finish the stump grinding, which they have done. Good cleanup.

I would highly recommend hiring SaVaTree for property assessment. A certified arborist (also with a degree in forestry) came to my property, performed a detailed assessment of tree and shrub health, and provided me with estimates for the work recommended. She was extremely informative and helpful as we walked through the property, and although I thought I understood the basics about trees, I realized that there was a lot more to know. The arborist had a qualified (and employed full-time) team to perform the work required, and she returned to the property on each work day and talked me through everything being done. The team cleaned the area to a tee, and chopped some of the wood to use as firewood. They were truly experts, and although it was more than I hoped to shell out initially, I expect the work to pay for itself when it comes time to re-sell the house.

They did save my tree. It looks healthy now. They are not cheap, but I can tell you that they certainly live up to their name and if you have a sick tree they will revive it and bring it back to life.

THEY ARE OK BUT VERY PRICEY. I FEEL THE PRICES ARE ABOVE AVERAGE. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY BAD EXPERIENCES WITH THEM, ALTHOUGH I DID HAVE TO CALL THEM BACK TO TAKE CARE OF SOME SMALL THINGS.

THIS HAS BEEN A GOOD EXPERIENCE. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL. THEY NEVER MAKE A MESS OF OUR YARD. THEY DO GOOD QUALITY WORK. SOMETIMES IT IS DIFFICULT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT.
