They emailed me and informed me that they don't service my area.

I had not heard from SavATree still, and it's been almost a month. I had received a follow up email from Angie's list inquring if I had heard from SavATree yet, I responded that I had not, and it's been another 2 weeks since that email. I had used the service once before, and while the initial contact was excellent, as was the initial appointment to advise on health of the tree; the agreed upon service was performed several weeks after promised date.

It was an Angie's list Big Deal that I purchased. I actually cancelled the service with them. They got to get a little expensive. I like the service that they gave me but it was a lot more expensive than other companies. Their services are really mostly in the spring, summer season. They charged me a fee for a specific service. Everytime they came, they would sell me another service and then it started adding up to a whole lot of money. What I liked about them was the arborist that came to see me was really knowledgeable. So I did like her. I consider going back to them once I price things out. I do think they are on the pricier side but in comparison to the company I'm using now, I did get more personalized service. They did a good job, my lawn was great.

The people at Save A Tree that I dealt with were nasty, they were overpriced, and they were arrogant. When I said something about getting alternate pricing they were very nasty. They wanted to know who I was going to use and they were badmouthing all of their competitors including saying competitors would use Mexicans or foreigners who weren't bonded or insured. They guy came to give me an estimate and he was very friendly when he came but a little bit like a know it all. I don't know anything about trees and I have a big property so I had some concerns. He was going to do this and he was going to do that and the other thing. I went through it with him and he gave me a price but at the end of the inspection he wanted me to sign something right away including a credit card and was very pushy. I thought the price was high but I told him I would agree. I wanted to get going on the bug spray and said lets get that done so I signed that. I told him I was going to hold off on this other thing unless he could do it at a reduced price. He started arguing with me. I was taken aback. He told me if he reduced the price then his commission gets cut so he can't do business with me. I guess I got to find someone who's not a salesman and doesn't work on commission. I said I would price it around and the guy got very nasty and hung up on me. Five minutes later he called me back and reduced his bid. Since I wanted to get the work done right away I just said to go ahead and do it. The work they did seemed to be decent work. I was surprised they didn't come with a bucket truck and I found it very strange that he was complaining about Mexicans but when his crew came on the day they were supposed to come they were all speaking Spanish. I thought that was ironic. I wanted them to spray for bugs first but they didn't come to spray for bugs until three weeks later.

The provider was difficult to get hold of because they said I was in between two offices so they kept jockeying me from one to the other. When they came they did do a good job trimming the trees.

They came out and said it was indeed hollow and dying. However, I decided not to do the work at that time because there was a raccoon living in there and I didn?t want to displace it. About a week before Hurricane Sandy hit, I called them to see if they could come out to take care of the tree. They said that they couldn?t but when I called them after the storm hit to confirm our appointment, they didn?t respond. In the end, I got a generic letter of apology from them.

I wasn't around for the cleaning but my family members told me that he was very quick and efficient and that overall it went great. Also, if I had any issues to just give him a call.

I am not a good consumer and I let the coupon expire because, quite frankly, I did not have the energy to pursue services after the expiration date.

It went fine overall. I have no complaints. The trees looked very nice when they finished. I wasn't home when they did the job so I can't say much more than that.

We met and walked around our property to look at trees. A few days later, a different person emailed me the estimate. That was confusing because I didn't realize who the estimate was from.

Three very professioal men (John, Mandy and Orlando) arrived about 2:15 p.m. to handle the work (completed the project about 3:30). They worked swiftly and did an excellent job with the project. The cleanup was excellent. I was very pleased with the work they did. I was not pleased about the price quote I received from Jesse Shelton. He quoted $350.00. When I informed him that I had received a coupon from Angieslist for $140 which was for about two individuals for one to two hours, he said he was not aware of it. I told him the female who made the appointment for me with him had provided the information. I paid 350 minus the coupon which I do not think was a bad price for the job but it was not what I had understood the price would be. I accepted it because I needed to get the job done.

I purchased a Big Deal $140 for $300 coupon. Company came to see the job and priced it, telling me that I could be served a month after making a reservation for work. The pricing seemed quite high, but it was explained to me that the company brought heavy equipment to every job regardless of size, and that they were located far from me. I requested service some time later. After several weeks I had received no service. I called and was told that the company was busy dealing with Superstorm Sandy damage, although much more than a month passed before the storm hit. The company suggested waiting until spring to do the work. I cancelled my order and got a refund of the coupon.

Great, Jesse was very knowledgable knew exactly what to do. Once I got him out here everything went very well.

It turned out very good. The information they provided was very helpful. They did come back to provide the service that I had requested to be trimmed.

They were great to work with and very professional.

The people from this company were polite, professional and quite nice to deal with. The work was fine. They had to return to redo one tree that needed more work. Although it took them awhile to come back, I was ok with that. They were responsive to emails. The reason I gave them a C was because it took quite a bit of time for them to return, but again, they were nice to deal with and I would use them again.

The company had no intention of honoring the offer. See comment above.

That took a while before we could get the job resolved resolved. They didn’t complete all the work that we agreed on the first time around. They came back and complete the work.

Save a Tree didn't do a good job. They had to come back to complete the work. They cut the trees down and left big logs which they tried to hid with branches and bushes! They didn't clear the area they were supposed to. It took the supervisor a week and a half to call me back to arrange a time to go see the property and what hadn't been done. Then he did say he would have the guys go back and complete. So it was 2 weeks later that the job was finished. We had a written contract that the job would be done in one day. The supervisor when he saw that the job hadn't been finished told me not to pay the balance of the quote. Now they're calling me and asking me for the balance. I don't think I should have to pay because they didn't do the job in the time they said and they tried to hide it! They have an on-line coupon and they haven't connected it to this service as a discount. Now maybe the supervisor meant don't pay until the work is finished but he didn't call me to say ok, pay the balance now. I don't think I should pay.

It was great. Really happy with the service. The estimator who came out was friendly, professional, and prompt. For the service they were on time as well. Before they did the service they made sure what they were supposed to do as well as before they left they made sure that we were happy with the service. I highly recommend them.

The service was excellent. Not pushy and extremely knowledgeable.

Steve came within few days and provided an estimate. He explained to me that I would only see bare branches for year or so when I cut to half size. I appreciated the warning. The work was done the following week shortly after I confirmed I wanted to hire them. Steve came to give directions to the 3 workers before they started. I stayed in yard during most of the work so I could change my mind about extent of downsizing trees during the progression. The men clearly were used to trimming hollys which was a relief since I have not been able to find any tree companies in the past 15 years who even wanted to do it. One man climbed into the holly while another worked from the ground with the long clippers. Everything went smoothly and all degree was removed.

We would use Sav-a-Tree again. Steve the arborist has a wealth of knowledge and made some very good recommendations. (I compared 3 other companies too). The tree crew was very professional and did a nice job cleaning up. In fact, there was so little remains of debris, one couldn't tell that they were there!
