We've used Davey for several years & have been very satisfied with the quality, cost, & responsiveness of their service. So far, their safety printings have prevented serious damage during wind storms.

I was extremely impressed. In a word, "precision". Sean showed up when he said he would (to the minute) to give me a quote, was a certified arborist, really took his time explaining things to me, and was clearly very knowledgeable. He gave me a quote on the spot and then I called to make the appointment. On the service day, Joe and Nick showed up exactly on time, were polite, and worked hard! The trees were overhanging the roof and electrical wires, but they cut them down piece by piece and carefully lowered them to the ground. I was extremely impressed. These guys are not some fly-by-night amateurs with illegal aliens and no insurance. They were very skilled professionals. I am sure you can find some guy with a chainsaw who will cut a tree down for less money, but if you want someone who really knows what they're doing and will do it right every step of the way, Davey's is the place to go. I originally planned to get multiple price quotes, but Davey's was first and I didn't even get a quote from anyone else. I was impressed by the positive reviews, Sean's knowledge and personality, and the price was fair. He didn't offer to do it for free, but the price was very reasonable. I would not use anyone else.

This company is everything the references said they were and more! I won't often refer a company but this one is "tops" guys! They were on time, clean, courteous, fairly proved, and put in the time to do it right! They showed their insurance credentials right up front. Had them quote on the whole job which accounted for several large trees, some smaller ones, a large overgrown hedge, stumps, etc. told them right up front I'd likely have to do the job over a few visits- which they had no problem with. Did about 1/2 the work in the first visit. Came back to grind the stump 2-3 days later - as promised. I am now ready to call them back for the second half.

Davey worked on several projects. Each time they arrived as scheduled and finished on time. We didn't feel the need to monitor any of their work. When removing the trees, the grass in our backyard was ripped up, but Davey agreed to reseed without any hassle. Edward Johnson consistently addressed our questions and concerns within 24 hrs.

We noticed some of our bushes and plants were dying or dead, which was very strange as it happened very quickly. Emailed Davey from their web site, got a call back the next day, and had a professional tree expert at the house the following day. The Davey rep knew what he was talking about, showed us the issues, looked at all the plants and trees. We were able to ask questions about all of our landscaping area, and he was glad to provide guidance. He then wrote up a detailed quotation covering what he recommended we do this year as well as into next season. Though the prices were a little higher than I had hoped, they were a far better alternative than having to replace all of our bushes and trees. We discussed the quotation the following day, and gave the approval. We were even able to negotiate an additional 8% discount as we were bundling some items (never hurts to ask for a discount). With that he was able to get things set up. So over the course of 1 week, we had a visit, quote, and got the service done.

Our plum trees were dying. They had been infected with black root disease. Davey Tree gave us an estimate, and hope, that the trees could be saved. They performed a deep root fertilization, treated the trees, trimmed off all the diseased branches, and returned to do one final deep root fertilization. The trees are looking better than they did before the treatment, and there doesn't seem to be any more evidence of the disease. This company repsonded to us when we asked, and made every date they scheduled. Very knowledgable, and did a great job of trimming the trees back.

Excellent service. This was my second time using Davey and will use them again if the need arisies. The crew that arrived was on time, polite, and spent extra time making sure that I was completely satisfied with the trimmimg work on the other 2 trees.

It was a perfectly good experience and I would not hesitate to use the Davey Tree Service again. They were at my neighbor's house doing some tree removal shortly after the storm when I asked about an estimate to remove our tree. The man I spoke with, Edward, told me if I could wait a month or so, it would cost much less than if I wanted it done right away, as they were busy with the serious storm damage projects. I told him we could wait since it wasn't interfering with anything in the yard. He gave me an estimate right there after looking at the debris in the yard. We called in another tree service to get a second estimate just to compare prices. The other service is one we have used in the past as well. The second company wanted more than 3 times what Davey was charging, so I called Edward back and told him to go ahead and remove the tree for me. He returned my call and told me when they could be there (it was within 2 weeks). They showed up as scheduled and cut up and removed the tree just as Edward promised. There was no residual damage to the yard or fencing around the area and the whole thing was done quickly and efficiently. We had no problems with our dealings with Davey and their representative, Edward. He was pleasant and very professional?a pleasure to deal with.

Professional estimate with details of the actions. Very quick appointment a few days after the estimate. Arrival of the first crew perfectly in time Cut and cleaning of 5 trees as planned Visit of 4 different trucks for collecting items and cleaning.

Once the order is made, they follow up with a contract that you sign and return. They then schedule the work in a timely matter and perform on time. My young willow tree had heat stress after planting, but Davey came back to deep root fertilize to re-vitalize it. It is now very healthy and growing tall.

The representative from the company came and was very professional, and told us what needed to be done, and what did not need to be done. He left a quote. A few days later, we were ready to proceed. I called the company, and left a message on their machine to contact me to set up a start date. This was over a month ago, and I have never head back from them; I do not feel like I should have to call someone twice when I am ready to hire them, and leave a message that we would like to proceed. Therefore, we are going elsewhere to get our trees taken care of. We have had too many experiences of trying to chase providers down...so not receiving a call back was a clear warning to me for this provider.

I was very pleased with them. He gave me a wonderful price. I would use him again in the future without a doubt.

I have used Davey Tree Expert Company for as long as I can remember. I started using them for tree trimming and removal, and then began working with them throughout the year with disease control and fertilization of my trees, plantings and lawn. (I have a separate landscaping service for weekly lawn cutting and mulch.) Over the years, I have come to trust their work, and my green and healthy yard and plantings reflect their wonderful care. If your landscaping is as important to you as your home, it is worth the extra money to keep it in the healthiest condition possible, and looking its best! I would rather spend the extra money caring for my lawn and plantings, then for what it would cost to replace them. I can highly recommend Davey Tree Expert Company! Another recent feature if you have a yearly contract designed specifically for your landscaping needs; you can save 3% of your bill if you pre-pay for your services. Every little bit helps!

They really do a good job. They are also responsive and really quick. Their service is excellent and the experience was good. I would use them again in the future.

They were excellent, clean up well and were proficient.

They schedule spraying services for 4 times per year. Because I have an outdoor cat, I request that they call before arriving (so I can be sure he is inside). They usually remember, but if the service man arrives without warning, I make him wait until I can find and retrieve my cat. The services provided are effective. I would also have them service my lawn if my budget allowed (hopefully soon).

They were very prompt on providing the estimate. The estimate was reasonable.

They were fine. They cut it down; cut it close to the ground. They cleaned up everything neat. Overall, they were excellent. Their price was ok. In terms of punctuality, there has been a lot of work for tree companies this fall because of storms. So, for many of them it took a while to get their attention. They were exactly what they said. I would use their services again in the future.

Both the times they were very prompt and professional in scheduling appointment and getting estimate by email; which is my preferred method. I would use them in the future.

Came, did job & gone in record time.

They came and gave us an estimate to do the work of removing 2 small trees from our retaining wall. Once our family had discussed the estimate and decided to move forward, it was a little difficult to get a hold of them, but once we did, we scheduled the work and the company came, took out the trees and cleaned up all the mess. I would use them again.

The estimate was complete and the arborist was very informative about the needs of the trees and what needed to be done. He gave us separate estimates for the various jobs and worked with us as to which had priority. The tree guys worked diligently (it was a two-day job) and followed up on our requests on the details such as size of logs, etc. We have more trees that will need taking care of this year, and we'll be using Davey to take care of them. Very pleased with the service.
