Five big trees, including ones that were next to power lines, hanging over the shed, and other challenges. Rob, Jamie, Evan, and Brian were awesome. They worked hard for almost two full days, did a great job, and the yard is cleaner than when they started. I'm sure someone else might be cheaper, but Davey was still less than another highly rated company on Angie's list and definitely worth the ~$5,000.

Job performed well. Cleanup was good.

Perfect. Called for a quote; got a call back within 24 hours. Joe P came out the next day. Davey's was not the lowest price, but we've used them before, and in the quote they mentioned that they saw something on a different tree they recommended I address. I agreed and liked that they noticed something all the other tree companies missed or didn't bother to look for. Scheduled a day/time to come, they came exactly when they said they would, it took the amount of time they said it would, they got the tree down safely, they cleaned up all the brush, and were friendly and easy to deal with. Climbing trees with chainsaws in the winter is not easy or fun work, but these guys are real pros. They explained things about the trees to educate me and obviously know more than other people who just know how to cut them down. Probably won't bother getting quotes from others next time; even if they were cheaper than Davey's probably would still go with Davey's for the quality.

It didn't. They are a rip off and should be taken off of Angies list.

They are very efficient. They do the job. Because we have a contract they came after Sandy and took a tree off our garage. The price is okay because I am using them years later.

They did great job, just very expensive. I would use them for a very large job, not for a small job since very expensive.

I submitted a previous review and had concerns with Davey Tree. They have now resolved them. I thank them for being responsive, and I am now satisfied.

We've had them for years. They're the best. They were totally professional. You never even knew they were there except the tree was gone. They cleaned up everything. They covered windows to not break anything. They were so polite, very helpful. We've tried cheaper ones but you get what you pay for. I think the price is fair.

I've been using Davey Tree for many years and everything's fine. They were excellent. I've been dealing with them for many years. It's a very reputable company and they're very professional.

I have been using them for the last five to eight years. I have an annual contact. They spray for gypsy moths early and then they fertilize my lawn and spray periodically for various infestations in shrubs. they come by and look at what may be attacking the various plants and spray accordingly. The entire year costs me about $2,000. I think they do seven spray treatments including crab grass control and fertilizing. A friend of mine recommended two companies to me and this company does it a little cheaper so that is why I chose them. I still had some infestations afterward, but when I call up to complain about various things they just come right back over, re-spray and don't charge me any extra. They are pretty good. I think it is a good price, but I have no research to verify that. They are very good on responsiveness. They are very professional, in fact yesterday I was very concerned about my cat being out there and the guy put his stuff down and spent about 15 minutes searching my property for the cat. He was cooperative on that basis.

I wasn't present when the chemicals were applied, but they left a notice of the activity and a small plastic lawn sign. So far results are good! Also their website has good features, including online invoices and ability to set up auto-payments via credit card.

They were responsive in my request to come over, evaluate the tree, and provide an estimate. The actual process for taking down the tree was very clean. I had a new grass planted before I did the work with the tree. They took great care to maintain the new grass and that was great. It was the second time I used them.

The arborist met with my wife and examined the trees. He confirmed that one was dead and needed to be taken down. He also said one tree was splitting but could be saved by removing some of the weight from the top and cabling it together. The arborist was very knowledgeable and like us wanted to save the trees if possible. The crew was very professional and worked efficiently. The day they came the skies opened up and started to pour. They did what they could and cleaned up despite getting soaked. They apologized for not finishing everything but I was grateful they did what they did. They came back a couple days later to grind the stump and cable the tree and again were very professional.

Great company. Punctual and professional service. I will use them again in the future.

Crew arrived on time and worked very quickly and efficiently to remove five trees. Also included in the cost was cutting some of the trees to 18" lengths and stacking them the back yard. We were very pleased with the work overall, including clean up. If they left one small branch on the driveway that was it! We'd recommend Davey's without any reservation!

This was our second experience with Davey. Last year they took down a Purple Plum Tree for us that unfortunately became diseased after another Tree Service didn't tell us pruning it at the wrong time of year could possibly bring on a fungus. Both experiences with Davey were EXCELLENT. They arrived on time, performed the work as they said they would and left our property spotless. Their crews were polite, knowledgeable and friendly.

Trees, holes dug were too small, should be 2 to 3 times the volume of the root ball with new soil added to hole per agreement. Trees were planted proud of suurrounding grade. Trees planted crooked, not vertical. Transplants were removed with little or no rootball. Roots severely truncated. Scheduling took several calls with limited or no response. Complaints got no response. Scheduled fertilization was not done.

Must see through the coming months (it's now April) but I anticipate it would go well. I got estimates from other providers on Angie's list and felt this one was the most responsive and easiest to work with. The person who came out was not a salesman but was the one who will actually do the work. He was respectful. By that I mean that he was not condescending or patronizing. I'm an elderly woman who sometimes gets less than respectful recognition of my knowledge about technical things from contractors. Davey's representative was refreshing in comparison to those others.

Prompt, professional, and cost effective. My family has been using Davey Tree for over 50 years and will continue to use them without hesitation. Ed Johnson was very polite and knowledgeable representing his company very well!
