+ -1 moreHe was a really nice guy. He came and he took care of it and he was very reasonable. I called him this year and at first, they didn't return my calls and then I called again but they didn't return my call again so I finally got somebody online. I said, "You know, you don't return the calls. I thought you were out of business or something." She said, "Oh no, if you want to get a start up, he said to call early before he gets too busy. He'll get back to you." He never got back to me so I called somebody else. He was very inexpensive and very reasonable but for some reason, he didn't call back now this season. He did a good job. I was very satisfied with what he did. I just want them to know that the first time he was good but the second time he was unreliable because he never got back to me. He was very responsive, he came almost the same day that I called. He was very professional. I had no problem with the first time.
Description of Work: I used them. He was the one that did the air conditioner. What happened was when I put the air conditioner on, it tripped the circuit breaker so it and that was why the air conditioner went off. He put a piece on there.

Description of Work: Update: After hearing good things from a neighbor, I tried one more time to make contact. Dylan just came over (same day as he called me back) and made a really good impression. He made suggestions that no one else has made yet, that seem to make sense for our home. Update: Dylan and his crew installed our mini split system. They were very efficient, tidy and very friendly. Apart from the initial communication issues, I could not be happier with Great White. I would definitely use them again.

+ -1 moreDylan was actually refered to us by our neighbors. They just did some work for them again this month. Then I looked them up on Angies to read their reviews. I have nothing but GOOD things to say about Dylan and his entire team. Very professional, very clean and tiny workers. Price was the best we got from anyone else (and we did take multiple estimates). I would hire Dylan again without hesitation. Now the AC we installed was last year. We never got to use it because winters soon set in. Am looking forward to using it this year. But we have been using the ductless system all winters.
Description of Work: Installed all new duct work for Central Air in part of the house. Installed a new ductless system for heating and cooling for our family room extension. Installed an attic fan to keep attic cool.

+ 1 moreDylan and his team are real professionals who tried to service an existing furnace and concluded that it needed to be replaced. Considering the urgency of the replacement due to extremely cold weather, Dylan rearranged is schedule to perform the installation the next day. The returned early the next day, removed the old furnace and replaced it with a new more efficient unit. All the work was done within one day including replacing 4 zone valves. The work area was completely cleaned after completion and the new furnace was thoroughly tested to insure it was working perfectly before they left. All in all I felt that this was an excellent service for the price we paid and I would highly recommend Great White Mechanical for any heating, air conditioning or generator service or replacement.

My husband and I don't have one single complaint and will have him install additional lighting in the house shortly! Dylan is a great person and is most efficient in what he does. + 0 moreDylan and Regina were very easy and friendly to work with. Regina, in the office, got back to us immediately with any questions we had. This was a huge job: risky for such an old house and costly. But Great White workers were professional, friendly, efficient, hard-working and pleasant to work with. We believe the equipment they sold us is first rate, and we are SO GLAD we did this, since it improves our daily life for at least 5 months of the year. Our only problem was that a small electrical job had to be done before we got approved by the township, and we had a hard time getting someone from Great White to come over to finish the job. But overall, we rate them as Excellent and recommend them heartily.

+ -1 moreI was very surprised that this company reacted the way they did being Angies number 1 and all. It took me over a week to get an estimate of service done by this company. I spoke to someone on 10-21-13 and an estimate was completed on 10-25.13. The person giving the estimate didnt even talk to staff just left a card in office that they were around, nice.??? No phone call made to me that they were coming or even there. I called after i noticed the card and the person didnt have a work order to tell me what the issues are and I was promised a phone call back as soon as possible. Today 10-29-13 i recieved a call saying "sorry we are all backed up and cant help you" thanks a bunch guys I am trying to run a business. Unreal.. I could have had other people out by now... I give a B for professionalism becuase the women was KIND enough (her words) to call and let me know that they wont be helping me

+ -1 moreAfter my initial call, Dylan came out to evaluate and suggest the best AC system for my home. He discussed the benefits of the mini-split system over central AC in an older home. He proposed where to place units for the most efficient operation. The followup with a written proposal was within a day or so. Once he got town permits and approvals, we set an install date. Dylan and his team did a great job with the install. They worked very efficiently and completed the job within 2-1/2 days. They never left a mess and there was no damage to walls or anything. Dylan came back to show how to work the system and maintenance of the filters, etc. I would definitely recommend Great White Mechanical. They are very professional and did a great job. I have them coming back to evaluate my steam heating system and see what can be done to make it run more quietly.
Description of Work: Great White installed a Fujitsu mini-split system. It is a 4 unit system (4 rooms) run by a 36,000 BTU compressor and provides heating and cooling.

They were not pushy and seemed experienced and knowledgeable. We agreed to the contract and have had them out for our regular fall and spring maintenance which reminds me ....... I need call them!
Description of Work: We have an annual service contract with Great White for maintenance on our AC/Heating units. They are thorough and punctual and allow us to be on a quarterly payment plan which is a great help. They were much cheaper than our previous company but their service is just as good. They also respond 24 hours a day which is reassuring.

+ -1 moreEverything went very well. See above report. We were more than pleased with their service, promptness and professionalism. Their price was reasonable.
Description of Work: Last year, our air conditioner system wasn't working, and our previous repairers had not been able to fix it. Great White came promptly, told us how long it would take to fix the system, repaired it in a day or two, and it has worked well since them. There was a leak in the system, and they found it when our other repair service said it was impossible to find, they repaired it and replaced an old unit that was unrepairable. I would use them again in a flash! They were everything one wants in a repair service: courteous, professional, friendly and above all, competent! Unfortunately, I didn't report on them at the time, so my memory for details is unclear, but we plan to call them again to prepare for the summer this year.

+ -1 moreThe installation of all aspects of the work went on schedule and was professionally done. Great White made sure that no mess was left behind and that all furniture and flooring was covered at all times.
Description of Work: I contracted Great White mechanical to install a whole house generator at my home. I used Great White because of their rating on Angie's list and by recommendations from friends that had used them. Dylan and his team are very professional and did just an outstanding job in installing the generator. His price was fair and actually better than other estimates that I had received. Other estimates were for a Generac installation while Dylan recommended I install a Kohler generator. I had done research on generators and also concluded that Kohler was a better option. Additionally, they recommended that I replace the power line to the meter which looked as if most of the insulation had been removed and also replace the panel box that appeared to have moisture in it. Again, I agreed with his recommendations and went ahead with the modifications. His price was more than fair and for each stage of the installation he was in constant contact with me. Dylan and his team are very professional and knowledgeable on all aspects of plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning. I intend to use Great White Mechanical for all my maintenance service contracts. I would highly recommend Great White for any generator, air conditioning or heating installation or service.

Description of Work: The first project was a reorganizing and updating of 3 separate air conditioning units installed separately over a 17 year period. There was no ryhm or reason to the duct system with no organized zoning. The air conditioning for this 2 story colonial was completely inefficient and poorly thought out. Dylan ( the owner), promptly visited at our scheduled appointment. He was extremely patient and listened as I tried to explain the issues at hand. He then took his time making notes and exploring the house to make sense of the issues. Due to some pending larger jobs I need to wait a bit to get on the schedule. Dylan returned with 2 other men from Great White Mechanical in late September early October to start the job. The entire job including redoing and reorganizing existing duct work to create clear zones, replacing a condenser and an air handler was complete within 3 days. They were a pleasure to have they were so quiet at times you didn't even know they were there. The job was also clean Dylan is a pleasure to work with, he is extremely knowledgable, and seems to sincerely care about the concerns of his clients. My experience with Great Whitw Mechanical was so good, that I contracted them to install a free standing Kohler Generator for the house. My experience was the same. Courteous, clean, and efficient, and well done. Will likely have them replace my gas furnace in the near future.

Description of Work: A/C stopped pumping cold air Friday night. Called at midnight, left message and got callback at 8am Sat. Repair crew showed up at 9:15, found the problem and repaired by 11:00. Wow what great service. Second time I've used them, both times the response time was incredible. I will use them as my 'go to' a/c team in the future

+ -1 moreThey came to my house and provided an estimate for all the units and labor. Dylan was very professional and helpful. Not at all pushy. The final cost of the work was exactly as estimated. The job was delayed a few weeks due to availability of the units but once they arrived the work was completed promptly. In the house they were very careful not to create a mess and did a clean job. I wasn't crazy about how they ran the conduit on my roof. It's a bit of an eyesore. Dylan explained that its necessary to minimize contact between the roof and the conduit to reduce heat transfer from roof to the tubing. Makes sense but I still think they could have made it look neater.In any case, I'm very happy with the units and the work. Hopefully Great White will be reliable and responsive if I have any problems. I have no reason to believe that won't be the case.
