Thorough on the phone. Very responsive. Did very very good inspection of the house inside and outside Set traps in attic and outside They cam back and sealed outside and set mroe traps. Examined the wall where I heard the sounds and saw a little evidence of mice. Will return later this week to check again. Explained everything Answered all of my questions Very good service

In the process of a kitchen remodel and turns out that mice had returned to our house. We thought we had the issue resolved a few years ago. Calls Protex and they came out right away. Purchased the 199 special. The tech laid some snap traps, baits and secured/stuffed any openings and crevices around the house where mice could enter. The traps got one mouse in the house and quite a few in the garage. Snap traps remain but so far no more mice! The 199 special price is a really good price. His competitors wanted to charge much more for the same service years ago. Wish I had used Protex a few years ago!

While away on vacation our tenant called complaining of animal noises in the attic. We used Angies list to find protex and called in for an estimate. Tenants didnt have to do anything but let them in. They evaluated the situation (turned out to be mice), set indoor and outdoor traps and sealed entry points..traps went off the first night. Protex came back in less than a week for followup. A bit pricey considering the remedy, but tenants were glad to be rid of their noisy friends

I had rats get in the house after the hurricane. I called they came out the same day, they sealed all the access areas around the house. They also put poison outside the house to prevent the rats from making it into the house. They also put traps all over the house, crawlspace and attic. A couple of days later they came back, took away a couple of rats and put new traps out. The 2nd visit they took away i think 6 or 7 rats and told me that should be all of them. They assured me it was under warranty so, if i seen any further droppings to give them a call and they would come right back out. Its been about a month and i have not spotted any further droppings or signs of the rodents. I am very pleased with this company and have contracted them to do my insect exterminating year round.

Showed up on time and completed the work - cleaned up well. Great experience - we signed up for the annual program.

We had an excellent experience with Protex. We purchased the Angies List BIG DEAL for year round Pest control. We had a problem with several insects (centipedes, spiders, bees) in the basement of the home that we recently moved into. The technician arrived on time for the appointment, was professional, identified the specific problems and thorough in addressing the issue. The situation is much better and we hardly see any insects any more. We plan on using Protex in the future.

I had a very large yellow jacket hive that I could not get rid of. I tried every product at the hardware store and nothing worked. Protex came out and took care of the yellow jackets in one visit. They were professional and I would use them again. Also--when the technician arrived he found several other hives that I had not seen--I was impressed he took the initiative to make sure all yellow jackets were taken care of.

They were really wonderful. The man who came and did the extermination was very knowledgeable. He was at my house for quite a long time. He did a thorough job. The extermination seems to have worked as I haven't seen any evidence of insects since then. I would surely use their services in the future and recommend them highly. Also the office people with whom I set up the appointment were very helpful.,

I was given a discount from the original quote of $80. The technician that came was a very nice person and really knows his bugs!

The specialist came on time, was thorough and informative. He pointed out concerns and issues, making recommendations that made sense. It was a very pleasant experience.

I contacted the company on Monday and set an appointment for Friday between the hours of2:00 and 4:00. The receptionists asked if I would like a courtesy call before they arrived, I replied, yes. At 4:12 on Friday I phoned the main number and received their voice mail. I then phoned the alternate number, Bob answered and informed me, Joe ( I think his name was Joe) was the assigned exterminator and that he would reach out to Joe and have him call me. Joe called around 4:21 informing me he was delayed, but should arrive within the next 10 minutes. Since I had an appointment at 5:00 I suggested we reschedule for Monday. He agreed and we confirmed a 7:00 am appointment I waited until 9:20 then phoned the company however no one answered either number. I find it hard to believe this company received as many A reports as listed on the site because they do not appear to have themselves together, and I fear their professionalism speaks volumes to the quality of the work that I would have received.

I called up company on 9/11 in the morning and set up appt. for 9/15. Appt was for wood destroying insect inspection and for spider and cricket problem. Lady on the phone said inspection was free so that was great. I called them back on 9/13 and asked them to email me their insurance certificate. The lady on the phone seemed surprised and apparently talked to someone in the background. She said they don't provide proof of insurance for free inspection. I figured I'd let them in for an inspection without proof of insurance (although I think it would have been professional to email me the proof; also I had not asked for anything free). I asked if Bob can bring insurance certificate with him in case he recommends some work (note: I had also asked for spiders and crickets resolution). She said she will call back. She did call back in a couple of hours and left a message saying Bob can get the certificate with him and I should call back to confirm the appt if I am good with this. I called back and we were set for 9/15 between 10 A.M. and noon. Saturday 9/15 : no one showed up until 12.09 P.M. I called and left a message at the office number. At 12.15 P.M., I called the "if you need immediate assistance" number. Sure enough, no one picked up the call; it was Bob's cell number. It is 9/26 today and no one has had the courtesy to even call back.

My experience with Protex and with Bob was absolutely great. After having gotten two quotes from other providers which seemed very high to me, I called Protex and Bob came out within an hour and a half. He climbed up on his ladder and looked all around my house to investigate where the bat could have entered. He even came into my house to investigate. He thought it might be the chimney so he returned the next afternoon to seal it up. But when he found the chimney was sealed tight, he investigated further and found another area in the roof where the bat probably entered. Bob's technician came back later that same day to put up netting and then Bob then came back two days later to seal the area up. I haven't seen the bat since. Bob was extremely honest and hardworking. He came when he said he would, he charged me a fraction of what other companies wanted to charge me and he took less time than what the other companies said it would take. I would give Protex and Bob an A++ if I could.

I am very pleased with the service. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable and went out of his way to explain and address another issue we were having with carpenter bees. I would gladly recommend this service provider.

upon seeing wasps (or so i thought) flying in and out of a vent on the side of my house i freaked and ran in and called protex. bob was professional, pleasant and came right over so i didn't have to wait over the holiday.he explained everything, and took care of it in a matter of minutes. i'm glad i found him on angies list and will definitely call him again!

The service representative was very professional, listened to any details that I explained, and proceeded to address the problem. He was efficient and cordial, completing the job in about 40 minutes on the first visit. The second visit was about 25 minutes.

We contacted Protex to give us an estimate, and the technician (Brian) arrived at the scheduled time. He was very thorough, and we went through the entire house with a flashlight, basement to attic. He asked a lot of questions about our house, and gave us a lot of information about the different kinds of pests, and tips on things that we could do to keep them out of our house. Our main concern was the wasps nesting under our siding, and he was able to observe them going in and out of the nests and told us that spray would be enough to take care of them. He also pointed out some other places that we would need to seal up. He gave us a quote for initial service and an option for quarterly service, but told us that we really didn't need the quarterly service at this time - I like that they didn't try to sell us extras that were not needed, and that they didn't try to apply any more chemicals than was necessary. We have an infant child and some pets, so I was really happy that they weren't pushing us to spray extra chemicals in the interior of the house. Another nice thing about Protex is that their estimate is free and the quote is valid for one year, so they don't pressure you to spend any money right away. We scheduled a second visit a month later to actually treat the pests. Brian arrived on schedule and told us about the work he was going to do. He moved some items away from our house and applied the chemicals - the whole visit probably took about an hour. He also sealed up one hole under our eaves and one hole near the foundation that we saw a chipmunk go into, which was not included in the quote, but he did it anyway! They gave us a service report that listed all the work performed and all the chemicals used. He told us that the bugs should start to disappear right away, but it could take up to a week or two, and I noticed that the wasps and crawling insects are gone a few days later. Protex guarantees their work, and Brian told us that if there were any issues or if the initial treatment didn't eliminate the pests, he would come back and re-treat for free. We would absolutely use Protex again, and have already referred them to some friends in the area.

sI originally found them here on Angies List in August of 2011, and they handled all the home inspection issues as well as bat remediation. So far I couldn't be happier with the service they provide!

Protex did a very detailed check of the problem and sprayed over the areas that had issues and suggested where insect problems are occurring and dealt with it. Excellent service and very proffesional

While we were seeing at least one carpenter ant inside daily, now there are none for three weeks running. I believe the problem is solved. Enjoyed talking with / working with Brian. Would use again without question.
