I wanted the service i bought the service i called a few times no one picked up. I then hired someone else to take care of the issue. I don't want the service as its done and they aren't reliable.

There were no issues, all went smooth and easy.

Was getting a mouse a day in my snap traps. I couldn't find where the mice were getting in. They came out and showed me a few suspected places. The tech blocked the areas in question and haven't seen a mouse since.

Did not need work as going out of country for a year

We had a terrible experience today with this provider. There were suppose to come from 3-4 pm for an estimate. We asked them to call us an hour before they came because my uncle who lives nearby would be handling it. At 3:30 he called to check the status and was told they were running late and would call before they came. They called my uncle at 5:02 saying they were on the way and he told him there is a lot of traffic at this time and he would meet them there at 5:45. The person showed up at 5:40 called my uncle angry saying he couldn't wait for him and was leaving. My uncle said he was a few mins away and to wait. He reached at 5:47 and the guy was gone. A very frustrating experience. Time to find someone else for this work.

I had mice in the house and tried to take care of it myself, using expensive electronic traps from Home Depot. It was a waste of time and money, and I realized I needed a professional when I was finding traces of the mice all over our living space and couldn't catch a single one with the mouse taser traps. I searched Angie's list for pest control in my area, and the reviews for Protex were excellent. I purchased the special mice abatement package for $199. Protex called me promptly to set up the appointment. The owner, Bob, arrived on time and he found where the mice were coming in and set up traps. He spent a long time and did an excellent job closing up the two main holes as well as small ones in other places around the foundation. He also placed a large trap on the outside of the house where the mice were coming in. Also, while in the attic he told me that the screen on my vent in the attic wouldn't keep out large animals if the tried to get in. I asked for a price and he would take care of it when he came back to check the traps in several days. Bob came back several days later, removed the dead mice and fixed the screen. (He brought another person to help him. They also found another hole in the attic while up there, fixed it, and did not charge extra!) Bob was fantastic, and the best part is that there is a three-month guarantee! If I see evidence of a mouse, he will come back. He'll even come back just to remove the dead mice from the traps.

Technician showed up on time and got the job done swiftly.

It was fine. He was great. They are going to routinely come out. My husband dealt with them and he was happy. He was here for quite a while and got in spots which I didn’t know about.

The owner himself came out twice due to raccoons and squirrels in the attic ....Bob was amazing...so professional and an expert in his field. I recommend Protex above any other pest control company!

Bob arrived early and before asking me what I had observed, he pointed out that we had a Yellow Jacket next in the ground under a bush in the front of the house. Before he left he had arranged for his specialist to come later in the day to eradicate the nest. Bob asked for details about what we had observed and immediately inspected our garage, where we had noticed mouse droppings. He identified several entry points under the garage doors and side door. Bob actually got out his tools and adjusted the garage doors to close better, and recommended that we replace the weather stripping. He identified several issues with the garage doors and adjusted the rails and drive mechanism to ensure a better seal with the ground. After securing the garage and installing stainless steel excluder in a few spots around the garage doors, we inspected the basement. Bob was able to identify "rub marks" in the basement indicating the path mice had been taking entering and moving about the basement. A couple of entry points were identified and he installed excluded there as well.A small but potential entry point was observed between the foundation wall and the wall. This was too small to fill with excluder but Bob instructed me to fill the gap with caulk. After the basement, Bob inspected the perimeter of the house, and installed additional excluder in a few spots. When done, he installed several snap traps in the garage and basement, and a bait station on the side of the garage. He told me his office would be in touch to arrange a follow-up visit in the next week to assess the traps. When he was done I had a list of measures that I could take to improve the situation including replacing garage door weather stripping and a door sweep in the side door, caulking a gap above the foundation wall on one side, and replacing a door between the garage and basement. Finally I asked Bob for an assessment for insect control. He felt that we might not need quarterly service for that but should start with an annual spraying around the house, which his office would arrange with me, Later in the day, Blake came and treated the yellow jacket's nest (additional reasonable charge) when I was not home. He phoned me to tell me the work was complete, that the area should be avoided for a couple of days as the remaining bees were angry. Overall, this was an excellent value, and the service I received from Bob and Blake was excellent. I was also pleased that there was no attempt to upsell or get a commitment for a long term service contract. I willl use Protex in the future and I recommend them without reservation.

The first time Blake came, he inspected where I told him I had been seeing wasp activity since I was stung five years ago when moving in. It did not take Blake very long to dispose of the next. He told me to watch and if I saw activity to all and he would come back - warranty for ten days.

The technician (Blake) was friendly and cooperative. He even offered to empty my central vacuum. I declined since I had just done it. There was an extremely dusty and dirty area above my front door. He got a ladder from his truck and sprayed the area. The guy was just covered with dust, but he just went outside and cleaned off before he came back into the house. I would definitely call them again. They quoted $120-$160 over the phone. The charge was $128.

The person who came was very thorough and explained what he was going to do before he did it. He spoke to me after the application and explained about the one year guarantee provided.

Tech showed up when he said he would, sprayed the perimeter of my house, inside and out, and provided helpful tips as preventitive maintenance. Professional and thorough.

Bob was on time and personable. Followed up in a few days. I was please with the experience and glad he came. He found a bunch of things that i wouldn't have found on my own.

Very happy with the service! Communication was quick and responsive. The technician was friendly, on time, and did not push upsells. He explained what he would do, and did it quickly and neatly. There is a 90-day warranty on the work, so if the nest is still active in a few days, they will come back and spray again.

No bugs have been seen for the past couple of weeks. Friendly service and prompt. Would use again.

They were responsive. They did complete the job. They didn’t stop until they did it. They were professional. We have no issue.

Protex came out to deal with an on going issue we have with tiny ants in our kitchen and bath. The gentleman was on time, very nice, and did his job quickly. Unfortunately the problem resurfaced a month later- but they came out and sprayed again for free, and we've been ant-free for a month now.

The provider arrived promptly before 8:00 AM as promptness. They came on multiple days until the problem was solved. This was especially appreciated because of our work schedules. There was nothing negative about our experience.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. The job was very good.

They came on time and greeted me at my front door, very polite and friendly, he sprayed around the house and informed my that I had no problem, only some small spiders, he didn't try selling me extra product and I appreciated that, I would highly recommend them.

The service was excellent. They sprayed for bees and wasps around my deck where I was having a particular problem; they also got rid of a couple of nests for me. The technician was very professional and I have not any problems since with the insects.
