Sierra provided us with a Certainteed roof ... Work was done well and on budget... One small issue with the sub-contractor who installed the new skylights ( they did not follow the instructions) but Sierra made every effort to fix the skylights. I would highly recommend them. They also give a great warranty.

I reached out to Sierra Construction after finding them on Angie's List. They responded promptly and came out for an estimate. Their estimate was slightly higher than the others we had received but it was well worth it. They were very professional and knowledgeable of the issue and took the precautions to ensure the leak would not occur again. Their work was completed on-time and they cleaned up all the debris.

Over it went well and I would recommend.

Sierra did an absolutely top notch job completing our roof. Ed was quick to come give the estimate and responsive to our questions etc. while choosing the materials. The crew showed up on time. They were very careful with the house to make sure nothing was damaged and things were placed back where they belonged after the work was complete. The foreman was very courteous as was the entire crew.

I sprang a leak following the latest NJ storm. I called Sierra the next day. Before the day was out, Ed called me back; I described the problem to him and he was confident the flashing around one of the pipes was faulty. We scheduled an appointment for the next day. Ed explained he would be out of town but his associate would be out between 9 and 10. Marcos was on time, immediately diagnosed the issue (the same as Ed thought it would be) and within a couple hours the leak was resolved. The confimation came the next day with the next rain. The quote matched the final price. I have some other jobs that need attention and will call Sierra Construction again.

Ed was out to estimate the repair the same day I called. He quickly emailed me me a detaitaied quote on the same day. I approved it and the work was completed the next day.

After considering multiple roofing contractors, I decided to go with Sierra Construction Group because of the reviews from Angie's List, the recommendation from my realtor, and the option of having Certainteed shingles (as opposed to the GAF shingles). Also, the quote by Sierra Construction Group was lower compared to other contractors. Ed was very responsive in helping me decide on the shingle colors and deciding between a ridge vent and attic fan. Ed and his team showed up on time and finished the job in one day leaving the outside spotless. I would highly recommend Sierra Construction Group.

Went very well. Had an agreement with a different contractor that did work in my develpoment. one day driving to work saw contractors sign on his front yard with a message in red spray paint DO NOT USE. I spoke to the guy, he said had his roof don and it was leaking, called the guy and he's not getting back to him. This was enough for me. Went on Angie's list (first time user) Found Sierra Construction. Left a message with Ed he got back to me later that day. Came out the next day for an estimate. Made me feel comfortable about his company. He was very patient with us, we were waiting on refi from bank that took almost two months. As soon as we were good, set a date and Ed's guys got started. Some of the recommendations Ed made were excellent such as roof vents by gutters, since there was no pre-excisting soffet. Other three contractors were going to extend my roof to create enough room for soffet. He sent me a link showing how this works with air flow. WIder corner posts, helped with the overall look of the house, kind of outlines everything. His crew did a good job cleaning up . We had one minor cosmetic thing and it was taken care of the next day. Overall, very happy with Sierra Construction

Owner Ed Rourke and his assistant Marcos were GREAT! Very professional, kind, hardworking, and cleaned up really well at the end of each day. There was more work than at first glance, so it took a bit longer than anticiapted, but they completed the work before Thanksgiving as we had requested. They also discovered that the stucco wall on the main house adjacent to the addition was crumbling and had actually been patched with metal and painted over in one place. They called in a stucco guy to fix it. I haven't received that bill yet, but Ed assured me the cost would be minimal. All workers were very nice and trustworthy. I feel confident that the roof is watertight and we are safe from the elements! If we run into any trouble down the road, I have no doubt that Ed will be back to "make it right." Thanks, Ed!

It was hard to believe that this job was 99% complete in one day! The only work that went into the 2nd day was finish work on the siding of a small dormer that took @ 2 hours. By the time Marco and his crew left at the end of the first day, you never knew - except for the dumpster - that a new roof was installed. The clean-up was exceptional. The crew of five worked consistently through the day with only a half-hour break for lunch. They also worked as a team and each member knew their specific job. Ed was on time with his estimate, came out quickly when first contacted. Because of a consistent 'nag' leak over our family room due to small slope, Ed covered the whole back roof with an ice shield and used stainless steel nails to guard against any rust. I am retired and was able to watch the entire project and was quite impressed. I would highly recommend Sierra Construction to anyone. They are also qualified to do residential solar roofing that I would have been highly tempted to pursue if the energy credits made the installation of solar panels worthwhile. Maybe some day!

I had 2 other roofing companies come out and check on the roof. One wanted to replace as is, the other said all i needed was some repairs done. Ed came out on the same day I called and we took a look at the roof together. At first he said that the roof looked great do to the condition of the shingles but after he took a look, about 45 mins worth, he showed me some serious issues. The roofer that did the job before did not properly install the shingles and the nails underneath were rusting. Neither of the first two roofers I had out here noticed that. He also has some design advise that is going to make the house look great. Although no work has been done we are going to go with his quote! We can't wait to see the finished product!

The job was begun when expected and completed as soon as materials arrived. The new roof was a problem as our low pitch kitchen roof had sustained considerable water damage and had to be re framed. The new framing is an improvement as it provides more pitch for better drainage. The demolition and frame were done the first day at the same time the main roof was being stripped and new shingles installed. Normally the entire job would have been done in a day. The siding began a week and a half later due to weather and waiting for the new siding to arrive at the job. It was a custom ordered color and I'm sure if we had picked a more common color it would have been available faster.All of the old aluminum was then removed and foam board installed over the existing clap board. Then house wrap was applied on top of that before the new siding and trim was installed. The house looks amazing!!. We've been in our home for over 30 years and now I'm proud of it. Ed and his crew provide top notch work and go above and beyond to satisfy the homeowner and at the end of the day it was money well spent. If you're looking for professionalism look no further. Experience: My experience with Sierra is not to be underestimated. I could not be happier with my overall experience. The roof on the house looks absolutely beautiful. I must say that I was consistently impressed by Ed Rourke's professionalism and accountability. His analysis was precise. He respected my time by being present and punctual for each appointment at the designated meeting times. He explained things in great detail to help me understand the depth of issues related to this project. He guided me in ways to caution against unnecesary spending, and impressed me with his kind and respectful nature. An example of his guidance was evidenced in the particular amount of free plywood that was included in his bid, if needed for the job. If additional plywood was needed, he offered a price per sheet that was competitive and lower than most other vendors. No additional plywood was needed for this job. In addition, he was the only Construction Firm that included an Attic Fan and hyrdostat in the bid, which gave great indications to protect the Roof/shingles for the future. Ed Rourke and his team showed up on the day that the job was to begin, and because he brought such a large crew, they were able to address this job from beginning to end in a time frame that was outstanding. Mr. Rourke scheduled the project in a timeframe that was respectful of our family needs. In addition, he was cautious of the weather forecasts to assure an installation that occurred with no predictiion of rain, and during days that were not overly excessive in heat. The entire roof was completely replaced within the three day timeframe that was scheduled. The Foreman, Marcos, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, respectful, and helpful throughout the entire project, and I was particularly impressed by his kind demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile whevever a question was posited to him. Ed Rourke's team of workers were friendly and respectful throughout the project. I never once heard disrespectful language, argument, or inapprpriateness of any kind throughout the project. At the end of the job, there was no sign, nor evidence, that a complicated hip roof, that also needed replacement of sky lights, had even taken place. Their clean-up was impeccable. When the job was completed the only indication that a new roof had been installed was the beauty of the roof itself, and the lawn sign that I encouraged Mr. Rourke to place, as several people had inquired about the firm installing the new roof on our family home. Mr. Rourke's men cleaned the property thoroughly, and protected all landscape throughout the project. In addition, Mr. Rourke had included the replacement of new shingles on the shed that graced the side of our home, assuring a homescape that was cohesive and beautiful. As a result of the entire experience, I give the highest compliments to Sierra Construction, to Ed Rourke, Proprietor, and to Marcos the Foreman and his team, for providng an outstanding job for our family home. As stated, this assessment is purely objective, as I had no awareness of Mr. Rourke and/or Sierra construction until becoming acquainted with Angie's List. The estimate was prompt and the price was reasonable. The company showed professionalism in roof repairs and reached out to experts in animal control as to how to prevent future damage. The comany representative took the time to explain all the details to me and when I wanted to do work that wasn't necessary that was also explained to me. I watched the work as it was being done. It was thorough and also they were careful not to damage the roof or house in any way. They finished the work in one day as promised and cleaned up all debris. The price was more reasonable than other companies I contacted for estimates and they did not recommend any unnecessary work. I have recommended them to neighbors and would definitely use them when I replace my roof.

Ed was very prompt, reliable and helpful. He returned all calls same day or the next. He arrived for the estimate as scheduled. He measured and inspected the roof and gutters. He advised that the could be tightened rather than replaced. He was very helpful with color selection. I had gotten several estimates and Ed's was near the middle. I checked the references he gave and everyone was extremely satisfied. After we agreed on a date, Ed asked for a deposit on $3,000. He obtained all of the building permits and Homeowner's Association approvals. The crew of 5 arrived as scheduled on the day of the job. Landscaping and shrubbery were protected with tarps. Ed arrived at the beginning of the job. The supply company did not deliver enough synthetic underlayment, so Ed had to go pick some up. In spite of this the work was completed in 5-6 hours. He inspected the completed work. The dumpster was removed the next day. All in all, I was very satisfied. I would not hesitate to use Sierra Construction again or recommend them anyone.

Ed called us immediately. When he came out to the job he was extremely professional and you never got a feeling of being "ripped" off. He spent a lot of time looking at our problems and giving us estimates (we own and operate two large apartment complexes). Ed's knowledge of shingles and installation was superior. Would HIGHLY recommend you get him to look at your job before you higher anyone else.

They did an excellent job. We had a whole bunch of roofing done. We received lifetime warranty on the new shingles. We would use them in the future if we needed.

The owner Ed Rourke came to estimate the job at the day and time scheduled. He provided a high quality, very complete and detailed estimate via email within 24 hours. The estimate was the middle price of three highly recommended roofing companies. Sierra Construction was the only one of the three with CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster credentials and therefore the only company that could offer the best CertainTeed warranty. I selected Sierra based on the quality of the proposal, the ShingleMaster credentials, a strong recommendation from a friend, and the competitive price. At the time I signed the contract, Ed indicated that he had several roofing jobs scheduled and estimated he would start in 6 to 7 weeks based on weather conditions. Ed emailed me to schedule a start in week 6. I requested a delay to week 7 to support my business travel schedule which he readily accommodated. We finalized the date and he and his crew began the job on the day scheduled. The crew covered the landscaping and deck and was very careful when removing the old roof. Ed left a very capable foreman to manage the crew and visited the job site several times while work was being performed The crew worked hard the entire time taking only a short break for lunch. They completed the job in two days as scheduled and even spent the better part of the second day double checking all details of job. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. The crew cleaned up the entire job site and even used a lawn vacuum to clean dust off of the deck and walkways. During the roof removal, water damage to the wood structure around the chimney was uncovered. The foreman showed me the damage and told he would need to rebuild the structure. He did an outstanding job taking nearly four hours to do the job right. I was only charged for the materials per the contract. Ed is very knowledgeable of the latest roof products and runs the business in a totally professional manner. His crew is professional, efficient, well-trained, hard working, and performs high quality work. I am totally satisfied with the job, I was able to handle most of the communication, scheduling, and contracting via email which was very convenient. Ed responded to emails within hours - even in the evening. I would not hesitate to recommend Sierra Construction to others.
