Our old deck was a wreck. We talked to some carpenters and they showed us how we could build a new deck that looks better, Then Kevin, who has the training of a carpenter and the eye of an artist, came and showed us how our deck could look both beautiful and unique. The new material he used was called "Wolf" and the deck he built used teak wood with a dark wood border. The finished product made the whole deck "pop". I never thought a deck could look this good. He even built me a separate alcove for my Weber Charcoal grill. I love it. I would highly recommend Bergen Backyard. You will not be disappointed.

Cleaned up worksite every night without fail. Courteous, meticulous, on-time, reliable, dependable, responsive.....so responsive that my dog fell in my lake today and Kevin came right over to measure for a new gate on HIS Sunday afternoon! He was so good when we put on our front deck that I didnâ t even consider anyone else for our back deck. His ideas are creative and well thought out. He is kind, considerate, and creative. Going into the project, I did not know of a contractor. I contacted 3 to come and bid the project. Kevin was a homeowners dream from start to finish. Having interviewed nearly 10 contractors to rebuild our deck, I knew Kevin was our guy within 5 mintes of his arrival. He was the first person to suggest doing something creative and not just rebuilding what was built 35 years ago! It has transformed our outdoor lving space and made my whole family very happy! I first met Kevin when he did the estimate for our deck replacement & was impressed by his professional demeanor and friendliness. I had the estimate that day and it was very reasonable & realistic. A few days later he texted that the material was in & he was ready to start. He showed up on time on Friday with an experienced crew of 4 or 5 and although he originally said it would take 3 days, they were finished in a day & a half. It was quite amazing! Everyone was friendly & polite & punctual. It was obvious that these guys knew what they were doing and the craftsmanship was impeccable. The site was clean and tidy when they left. I extend to Bergen Backyard my highest recommendation and would hire them again if needed. If you're looking for a reputable company that takes pride in their work, look no further. Bergen Backyard LLC was one of many contractors I invited to provide estimates for replacing my 34 year-old, 34'x16' wolmanized wood deck with a new composite deck. Kevin responded quickly with an estimate and revised estimates as I explored design alternatives until a final design was reached. He provided color samples of Wolf Decking (which I had never heard of) and explained the pros/cons of the various decking products on the market. We selected the Wolf products and the two tone design looks absolutely beautiful using the Camo hidden deck fastener system since not a single screw is visible on the surface. From the day I first met Kevin until the end of the project, he and his team were punctual, courteous, and truly professional craftsmen that take great pride in their work and ensuring customer satisfaction with the final product. At the end of each day they spent time cleaning up and left the job site neat. Kevin kept us well informed of his progress and what was to be completed by when. He had estimated two weeks start-to-finish, and even with a few early January weather delays, the entire project was completed in 11 days. He handled the entire project obtaining required permits, just-in-time delivery of materials, scheduled and we passed all the required inspections without any issues. He is a true craftsman that takes great pride in his work. He really cares. Our deck was completed on time and within budget. We are extremely satisfied with the job he did and would definitely use them again! I'd recommend that you consider Bergen Backyard for your next home project!

Bergen Backyard reconstructed an existing 25-year old deck at my house. They were professional in all respects. They responded promptly to my request for an estimate. They provided a well-written estimate of work to be done, and left product brochures and material samples for me to select from. Price was competitive, but I also chose them for their professional approach. They were readily available by phone to discuss specific questions I had. They were flexible on choosing a convenient date for work to begin. They communicated frequently by text to explain status both before and during project. They started on time and finished on time. No problems or surprises. They performed excellent work and left the worksite very clean when they finished.
