His pricing was very good, he was very good with communication, and very punctual. I was nervous about the job but working with Eddie made it a lot easier. I would highly recommend him and am sure you would be very satisfied with the outcome!!

Description of Work: My boyfriend requested that they come out ahead to meet and assess the job. The owner accommodated us and addressed all our questions and concerns. The team showed up on time the following morning. Several workers prepped the area. 2 workers stayed as the team went onto another job. 8 hours later, my living room, hall, ceiling, trim and window panes were covered with quality Benjamin Moore paint. The room looked beautiful! This company was professional and prompt. On a side note, be aware they advertise 1 painter, 3 hours for $249. My job required 2 painters @ 6-8 hours. I also paid $100 for the paint. Be that what it may, still a 5 star job!

Description of Work: I forget the specific terminology so please be patient with my review BUT it is important to read! ETC scheduled me for two appointments to drywall a one to one and a half square foot whole in my ceiling and apply finishing paint. I was told by someone (forget his name) whose efforts I admire for speaking English but in business - didn't cut it - and he passed me to Richard. The latter insisted we would have an appointment Thursday 4:00 for the first portion, let that dry overnight and come back Friday at 4:00 for the second part and finish the job. I was on a strict deadline as I had an open-house the Sunday upcoming. |A teacher, I cancelled an appointment with my Department to leave at 2:50 and make sure due to distance and traffic on the Parkway South on Thursday. I didn't leave until 3:05 and flew out, the phone rang and I pulled aside on the ramp onto the Parkway. It was Richard. They cancelled last minute because "a situation came up". It wasn't until I expressed disappointment and the inconvenience of a second appointment on Saturday again and again that he assured me that all work would be done on Friday. I questioned how this could be - same quality work in one visit now? How long I asked? Three to four hours he said. He finally apologized or I was going to cancel right then and there. |The next day, Friday, a truck was waiting with a man on a cell phone and another man approached me and I asked "Are you Richard?" and he said no...I said "Okay, well we better get started!". Within 10 minutes the unidentified second man came in and started working. UNPROFESSIONAL. I had to get up from the couch, correcting papers but unable to concentrate I was so mad - and I introduced myself "Are you Richard?" and he so "No...". I asked how they would dry everything and paint within four hours and they said they had "quick dry plaster" (possibly using wring terminology). 45 minutes later out comes a sort of blow dryer and 10 minutes later - A TOTAL OF FOUR TIMES - MY HOUSE FIRE ALARM WENT OFF. One of the men opened the front door after scaring me to death and apparently that sufficed - or so I thought. It wasn't until they were done with a stenchy burning smell that I realized THEY DISCONNECTED MY ALARM!!!!!!!! TO AVOID THE ALARM FROM GOING OFF! THIS WAS DANGEROUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL. NOT TO ADD THAT THE TOTAL VISIT WAS UNDER TWO HOURS. They painted, I paid and they left and I thought "NEVER AGAIN". |It was my first Angie's list experience and not a good one but my brother-in-law and sister rave about Angie's list and have had positive experiences so I'll give it another try if need be. | |I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT HIRE ETC HOME IMPROVEMENT. THEY SAY ONE THING AND DO ANOTHER. THEY LIE. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, DO WORK AND ACTIONS WITHOUT LETTING THE CUSTOMER KNOW SUCH AS DETACHING ONE'S SAFETY ALARM. A TWO-DAY WORK JOB TURNED INTO A FOUR-HOUR ONE DAY JOB WITH A "QUICK DO IT AND GET OUT" DRYWALL APPROACH WHICH ITSELF TURNED INTO TWO HOURS. | |DISHONEST IN MANY WAYS, DO NOT DELIVER THE SERVICES THEY SAY THEY WILL RENDER, BAD ATTITUDE.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal $99 for One Room of Interior Painting. They spackled and painted the master bedroom.

Description of Work: I purchased the $99 deal for painting up to 300 sq. ft. of walls, fully intending to get the ceiling, trim, and large 9' wide window (with grid) done if the price and timeline were right. I ended up getting it all painted and even added on 4 bedroom doors and a smaller linen closet door.

Description of Work: Painting Wall Ceiling - Closets, Install new doors, Paint trims and doors.

Description of Work: Replaced baseboards. Painted downstairs bathroom, all panels and baseboards in basement, stairway, front door, 4 columns on front porch.

Description of Work: Up to this date, ETC-HI's work has been in our upstairs bedroom area. 1. In one bedroom (about 12' x 15' and two 2' x 4' closets), ETC-HI removed wall paper, prepared the walls and ceiling for painting (believe me, this was a lot of work after removing this wallpaper), primed and painted the walls and ceiling, hung three new pre-hung solid pine 6-panel doors, installed new baseboard around the entire room and inside the closets, installed new chair rail trim around the entire room, installed new crown molding around the entire room, installed a new window sill under two windows, installed new trim around all three doors and around both windows, installed shelves in the closets, primed and painted all the trim, the closed shelves, and the three doors. 2. In two other bedrooms, which I had already painted the walls and ceiling myself, ETC-HI installed baseboard, installed window sills under three windows, installed four pre-hung 6-panel doors, installed trim around all the doors and windows, and primed and painted all the trim and doors. 3. ETC-HI renovated the guest bathroom in our upstairs. This work included complete demolition of the existing bathroom, preparing the tub/shower walls for tile installation, installing three new pre-hung 6-panel doors, installing window sill under two windows, installing baseboard trim, installing trim around the two windows and the three doors, installing new shelves in the closet, priming and painting the walls and ceiling, priming and painting all the doors and trim. Plumbing, cabinetry, and tile work was done be separate contractors (which ETC-HI recommended to me). 4. ETC-HI renovated our upstairs hallway and stairwell. This work included preparing the walls and ceiling to be painted (the ceiling had textured paint which was extra work), installing new baseboard trim, installing trim around the closet doors, installing new closed doors, installing four shelves in the closet, painting the walls and ceiling in the hallway and stairwell, priming and painting all the trim, closet doors, and shelves, installing a new pull down attic ladder, installing and painting the trim around the attic ladder. The stairs themselves were not worked on at this time. That job will be in the future. Our home renovation is still on-going, and we plan to us ETC-HI as the lead for all of this work.
