It was really good experience for their service. I called them up and they were able to send somebody else on the same day in a few hours. The electrician was very professional and he got the job done. He explains to me exactly what was going on and he's punctual. I would recommend them and I would use them again.

These guys are awesome...they've serviced my steam boiler before so I had no qualms about using them to take car of maintenance on my Central A/C units. Punctual and knowledgeable giving me recommendations on things I can do. Always courteous to wear the feet protectors when going into your home so they don't dirty up your place. Will continue to use them on an annual basis. Thanks!

I called because I noticed the air flow was running for 30 seconds, turning off for a few minutes, and turning back on for 30 seconds. Johnny showed up on time, and quickly diagnosed the problem as the blower motor. He wasn't able to get an exact replacement quickly, but was able to get a universal replacement that day. He removed the blower unit and took it with him to replace the motor in the shop. He returned the next day and reinstalled the blower and tested it to make sure it worked. In testing the blower Johnny found that the ignitor was not receiving power, and determined that the control board was shorted out. In speaking we determined that there was likely a power serge a few days earlier that damaged both the blower motor and the control board. Johnny did provide a quote to replace the board, but I ended up ordering it online and replacing it myself.

Went well. Tech on time, efficient, courteous, and left a clear description of what needs to be done, along with pricing. I have a repair date set up for this month.

Representative was contacted from Angie's List. He show up when he was scheduled and gave a good estimate and explanation of what would be required. We decided to use their service and set up a date for the old furnace to be removed and replaced. Bloomfield representatives showed up on time and did an outstanding job of removing furnace and scrap and replacing furnace and thermostat as proposed.

The members of the crew were there every morning before 8 AM., never late. They cleaned up every afternoon removing tools and other obstacles. They vacuumed and swept before departing about 4PM. All were polite and mannerly and eager to please. Overseers dropped by every day at different times to check on the work and progress. All of our questions were answered and explained to our satisfaction.

The technician was very good in explaining the process and how the furnace works.

Cleaned out my steam boiler well and showed me what to do if the pilot light happens to go out. This is the second time I used these guys and they never disappoint. There was an issue where one of the valves broke off when they were taking it apart to clean. They came back the next day to take care of the issue and finished cleaning everything. These are my go to guys for heating and I have them scheduled for maintenance on my 2 central AC units now.

The installation was challenging since it went from the original old part of the house to a newer addition. The installers were pleasant and very professional. No mess during or after the job was done. Had to call them back once to rebalance the flow to the two bedrooms.

Great experience from estimate to installation, jack was very informative and patient during the estimate and offered several options in order to resolve my issue. After taking several estimates from other contractors, Bloomfield had the better product and pricing so I chose them for the job. They scheduled me for 4/1 and Kathy helped make sure we got to that date by getting all the permits ready..very friendly staff overall especially with the million questions I had On the day of the installation a swat team of guys came in a and punctual, they worked clean, and had my new system up and running in a day. They took the time to go over everything with me before they left which was something that I never seen before, great customer service right to the end. I will be using them for all future jobs.

My experience was pretty good. The technician was very nice and they came out right away. I really liked the technician that came out. They seem to know what they were doing. We will see how they follow up with us.

Everyone in the office is friendly and caring. I've never waited more than a few minutes in the waiting room, and the quality of the work is excellent.

Everyone I have met from Bloomfield is efficient and friendly. THe man that completed the service has been to our home before and always goes above and beyond. We are very happy with them and will use again in the future.

They are very thorough and professional. They are also willing to work with the customer because it was off season, they give you different options and because I didn’t need it right away, they gave you a little bit off on the pricing because it was off season, that was also a perk. The price was very fair. I had other people come in and they helped me make the proper decision and I think they were very fair and knowledgeable.

I would recommend Bloomfield highly...and without reservation. After Hurricane Sandy, we (along with lots of other people in NJ) decided that we wanted an emergency generator. We invited several vendors (one who specialized in only installing generators) to take a look at our house and give us recommendations and estimates for both portable and standby (full house) generators that would work off of our house gas line. In July, 2013 Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric (make sure it is the company in Little Falls...not Bloomfield) sent a representative (Jack Lamb) who was not just a sales rep, but someone who has actual experience and expertise in installation; which requires someone with plumbing and electrical backgrounds. While I thought that we would need a 17k generator, he felt that an 11k generator (which was less expensive) would meet almost all our needs. His estimate was done quickly...and when I asked for additional detail/breakdown...that was done quickly as well. Let me mention here that their office staff has outstanding customer service and follow-up. We decided on the full house standby generator by the middle of July.. However, the installation of a full house generator requires that the gas line and electrical system are up to the task and getting Elizabethtown Gas simply to let me know if our gas line was sufficient took 6 weeks (it wasn't). Then we needed to schedule an upgrade (another 4 weeks)....as well as apply for permits. I had to handle the contact with Elizabethtown, but Bloomfield and their office staff handled all the permit applications and associated paperwork. With the scheduled upgrade, we moved ahead with the electrical upgrade and installation of the generator...to be connected to gas line when that was complete. We decided that we wanted the generator placed on a side of the house with our air conditioner....and not on the side of the house near the electrical box; exactly the opposite of the way it is usually done. Jack came out, examined our house and said that while it was difficult, he could make it happen. Jack and his SWAT team arrived on 10/8/13 and did EVERYTHING in ONE day! They upgraded our electrical service, installed/ran wires through our basement and hid them in the dropped ceiling...and even found a tiny opening where the wires could run through the garage...which looked pretty d*** impossible to me. They created a foundation for the generator and had it delivered to our house....connected to the old gas line... and ready to go. It was fully operational. They arrived at 8:30am....and didn't leave until 9pm!! Took maybe 45 minutes for lunch. All the guys were professional, friendly, competent...and did a wonderful job cleaning up. The upgraded gas line was installed two weeks later and we were re-connected. With Bloomfield, none of the permit applications cost you...until you pass inspection. For a very minor reason, we did NOT pass the electrical inspection (did pass pluming, fire and construction). Within 2 days, Bloomfield sent guys down to make the correction...and we passed. (Kudos to "John" and the other members of the SWAT team. They hold your hands from beginning to end. Furthermore, they service what they install. Since there are so many elements involved (plumbing, heating and electrical) it's good for your service to have training in all three.

i called bloomfield heating to have a whole house humidifier installed, they were able to quote a price over the phone and since they had it in stock were able to have two guys onsite the next day to install. The installers were knowledgeable, professional and on time! i would def use them again.

They were very good, they were very professional, punctual, and they delivered what they said, and there were no issues. Since they installed the unit in October, I have no idea if it works or not.

They did a good job. We used them for inspecting out HVAC before we bought the house. We will use their service again as we need to get our AC system repaired before the actual summer season starts.

I had a fuse that kept tripping connected to my my living room n my garage doors wouldn't open - I called them early in the morning they came within a half hour - they troubled shooted ... Found a bad outlet outside - they fixed the problem n lights are back on!!! Great job!

Timing: 1 day before a 12-18 inches of snow expected. On Feb 12, 2014, we woke to a freezing house because the HVAC broke down. At 9am I called Bloomfield Cooling, Heating and Electric, Inc. based on reviews on Angies List. I paid a $95 diagnostic fee to for the tech to come out and assess the problem. The tech came around 1pm and spent about 30 mins to identified the issue - the control board was not working properly. He went to the car can came back with a quote of $832+taxes to repair the problem. I asked for a breakdown of parts and labor but the tech insisted that they only give out a fixed price. I was panicked because it was freezing in the house and my 1 year old son was sick with a bad cold. It was too late to find another company before the snow storm (expected to start at midnight) to come out and repair the HVAC. So I agreed to pay it. The tech left and came back at 6pm and spent 30 mins to replace the part and the HVAC was back up and running. The total cost - 890.24 + $95. After the fact, I saw the part number on invoices so I decided to look it on the internet and to my surprise it costs less than $100 - http://www.amazon.com/Board-Integrated-Control-62-25338-01-Rheem/dp/B009AX6P3E. In essence we ended up paying $732 for 30 minutes to electrical technician's time. which I think is excessive even if you account for some commute time. Hence it makes sense why the tech would not give me a breakdown of the parts and labor. The company exploited our emergency situation before the snow storm and chose to make an unethical decision. We are thankful because we were able to get through the storm with a heated home but disappointed by the greedy nature shown by this company.

Cold air started coming out of our vent system early in the morning. We immediately called Bloomfield Cooling and Heating and they came within an hour to our house. As soon as they got there, the technician checked the furnace to make sure everything was working correctly. At the end of the day, our ADT wireless thermostat was the culprit and Bloomfield installed a new Honeywell unit that luckily for us the technician had in the truck.

Job was challenging but completed on time and within estimate.

6:50 am - Woke up to cold house. 7:20 am - Logged into Angie's List 7:30 am - Chose Bloomfield Cooling Heating & Electric 7:40am - Called to schedule service 9:30am - Technician showed up neat professional. 10:45am - Boiler was fixed BILL was 272.85 It turns out that the part that controls pilot light and shuts off gas when pilot light goes out was broken. I've had this same service done before by a plumber in my community and it was only $185. HOWEVER, I'm still giving a very high review. In February with no heat, I'm willing to pay a little more to get it done in a timely fashion.
