Ever since Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric replaced a 5-year-old furnace that had been improperly installed by another contractor, we have relied on this North Jersey HVAC contractor for all our heating & cooling maintenance needs. Not only is the team responsive, polite, and professional, they have a great understanding of the latest HVAC technology and always recommend the best equipment. I recently had the company replace my downstairs HVAC system under the Carrier Cool Cash and PSEG Instant Rebates programs. The work was done efficiently, cleanly, and I am enjoying greater energy efficiency in my home. Next year I will have them replace my upstairs system under the same program. I cannot recommend Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric enough.

Bloomfield Cooling & Heating installed my air conditioning system about 15 years ago. Since that time, I have used them for various maintenance calls with no complaints. A couple of weeks ago, my unit stopped working and I scheduled a service call. Although I was informed that the "service fee" would be higher because the call was scheduled for after 4:00 p.m., I was not informed that an overtime charge was also applied to any parts that would be needed. I was only made aware of that information after the part was installed. I was billed over $600 for that service call. A couple of days later, my AC stopped working again. The same technician came to repair but after two hours, was unable to find the problem. Finally he explained that I needed a part which had to be special ordered and that someone from his office would be in touch with me. Considering I had previously paid over $600 for service and was still without a working AC, I decided to get a second opinion. It took the new technician thirty minutes to identify and fix our AC system. I sent an email to Bloomfield Cooling informing them of my dissatisfaction. To date, I have not received a response. This is how Bloomfield Cooling chose to handle a customer of 15 years.

The service is super! They called to reconfirm my appointment and also offered an earlier slot and the chap was punctual and polite. He had covers for his shoes which he slipped on before he entered and he was diligent, quietly getting on with what needed to be done. They changed out the heating system about 2 years ago and replaced the outside extractor fan and did a super job. Highly recommended.

The guys at Bloomfield are dishonest and treat their customers terribly, particularly the sales rep Dan. We had taken over a cooling system installed by Bloomfield and under their warranty for the year. They promised a complimentary "rebalancing" within the year and are refusing to honor it as the year is almost up. They further claimed that their promises mean nothing if it is not written into the contract. Shame on us to believe them, and not have promises written on the contract. This is a classic sales tactic which many had fallen for! Beware and stay away!

very professional and quality service

Technician showed up on time, was professional and completed the work in a timely manner. My only complaint is they only looked at the cooling aspects of my unit. I would have preferred to look at the heating aspects as well. When I inquired about that the tech told me that wasnt on his schedule, if I wanted to have that work done it would be a higher rate. Annoying that I took time off work and only got the cooling portion of the unit looked at.

Top to bottom complete satisfaction! Called Monday morning of a super hot week, Got an appointment for 3pm SAME DAY!! At 1:30 Joe R. The a/c technician called and said he had a cancellation and could come earlier. He arrived as promised, was as professional & courteous one could hope for! So very thorough & meticulous ( even wore booties in my house ( HAHA) :) He troubleshot the problem, bad capacitor, he replaced it and did a thorough check on the whole system. I was very impressed, so much so that I asked about and signed a service contract! BTW , they deducted the days service fee from the total amount of the service contract, how smart!! Anyhow “ IM A FAN” THANKS , can’t say how happy My wife & I are to have Bloomfield cooling on board ! TRUE PROS!!

I have used them to service my heating and cooling HVAC system the last few years. Very pleased all around with the service. Both Mike and William were great - professional, respected our home, answered all questions, and on time. Calling, making appointments, and follow ups were great too! I used other service companies before finding Bloomfield and I wish I found them first.

Would recommed them anytime. It's a pleasure to deal with such a reliable company. Their technician, Taha, was on time, knowledgeable, did all the necessary work (in the attic, outside), checked thermostat, vents, changed filter, etc., left the house in perfect shape not a spot of dirt anywhere. I have full confidence in Bloomfield. Had used them previously on an older air conditioning unit for repair and finally bought a new unit from them. They did perfect work then too. Price shown below includes one-year contract..

A very thorough inspection of the furnace to evaluate performance and efficiency. The technician was competent and professional documenting and explaining the key performance indicators. pricing for the service was reasonable.

It went very well. They removed the entire old oil heat system and replaced it with a gas heat and ac system. My crawl space where everything is located is very tight and many contractors just passed on my job. Bloomfield did the job, were very punctual, and completed the work when they said they would. Would definitely recommend.

Service visit started off on a bad foot when service personnel called and angrily told me that I was not answering the front door and he was at my house when it comes to find out that he was at the wrong address. Then the service man came in and diagnose to my AC unit with having a clogged drain. This is what I told him was the problem when he arrived. I asked for replacement piping as well as the servicing of my AC unit. He said to me that I needed to new air filters which she sold me for $10 apiece. These were the cheapest possible air filters known to man I was very disappointed with the quality of these are filters. He then instructed me that he was unable to replace the piping for the drain on the air conditioning unit. But he would however offer to blow compressed air down the tube for $180 additional charge. I felt that was a ridiculous sum for compressed air and declined. He then stated that the condensation pump was defective on my unit. I had earlier that day watched the pump operate so I knew that it was not defective and worked normally. He offered to replace the pump for $380. I again declined as he was totally trying to take advantage of me. He then poked a hole in one of my ducts to stick a probe in. He be grudgingly repaired the hole once I brought it to his attention. He never cleaned the evaporator he never serviced the AC unit in any other way that I was able to tell. Additionally he never told me what the condition of my air-conditioning unit was. He was rude and left me $160 poorer with the same ac leak I started with. And I felt the entire service visit was an attempt to take advantage of me and overcharge me for simple services. I will never use this service ever again.

Always a pleasure with this company from the office to the service guy. Professional. On time. They call ahead! And mobile payment. Would not use anyone else!

This is the first time that I got issue with a company that I took from Angie's list. The installation went fair well besides some minor issues which I did not complain about it. The issue started with the heating unit turning off by itself due to poor ventilation and windy conditions. The exit exhaust was done in a horizontal line causing the wind to push the fumes back in and the unit turning off. They came on site 3 or 4 times and they could not fix the issue. I really got tired of calling them and technician not returning my calls. They kept pushing me to install a power vent and pay $1300. After, I decided to fix things myself by building a bracket around the exhaust vent so I could block the incoming wind which it cost me $10. Finally, my unit is working without issues after the bracket I created. I was going to do my other zone upstairs with them but after what I experience , I wont be using them or recommending them to anybody else.

The technician was promknowledgeable.clean(wore booties upon entering house),and knowledgeable. When I need electrical or air conditioning service I would call no other than Bloomfield Cooling , Heating and Electric.

The service professional of Bloomfield Cooling and Heating called before coming to let me know he was on his way...and he showed up on time!! He serviced and cleaned both A/C units, was clean, courteous and finished in the time he estimated the job to take... I would HIGHLY recommend using Bloomfield Cooling and Heating again for my furnace, A/C and generator services,

I request a spring and fall maintenance every year and from the initial appointment set up to the actual service experience, it has all been excellent. I would highly recommend this company to those that are within the area for service.

They were prompt, professional, patient and explained in full detail of why the problem occured and gave suggestions on how to maintain it so that it doesnt happen again.

They were able to fix the problem, but it took a few days.

I called Bloomfield Cooling & Heating when our furnace broke. Everything about the experience was excellent. Incredibly responsive - They came to my home & provided me a quote within hours of my call. Of 3 suppliers called Bloomfield were the only ones who could fit the next day & they also came in with the most reasonable price - they really put my mind to rest while our family put up with our cold house! Mike & his team went above & beyond to get us back on track. I called him to confirm we wanted to go ahead at 7.30pm at night and within 90 mins they had dropped over space heaters at our house for the night. A full crew was at the house (at the time they said they would be) by 8am the next morning. The team was excellent - efficient, friendly, cleaned up well. Couldn't have asked for more. Great service Bloomfield cooling & heating. If Angie's list did gold stars you'd have 5 from me.

Removal of the old heating and AC units, and installation of the new systems was done quickly and efficiently. Seasonal checkups/tuneups are also performed very well. Technicians are competent, reliable and professional. I highly recommend Bloomfield Heating, Cooling & Electric.

The team was great. 8 men including a plumber and electrician worked for an entire day. They left my house cleaner than when they arrived. They responded promptly for a quote, explained the process and furnace that was going in and answered questions. Again, this was off-season, so I feel like we got exceptional service and price.
