It was excellent. They were very good and honest and it was appreciated. They got the job done in about 40 minutes. I had no problems with the scheduling.

Service tech came exactly at the appointed time. Immediately went to work assessing the issue. About an hour in he diagnosed the issue and had an estimate to correct. I approved the work and he immediately wend back to work. Had the job done within 2 hours and left. Had a great and have already recommended the company to a couple of co-workers

My house A/C wasn't working properly and I had company coming over. I called Bloomfield Cooling, Heating, and Electric and was able to get service for the next day. They gave me a window and were there at the beginning of the window and even waited for me for a few minutes since I didn't make it to the house in time (usually it's the service provider that I'm waiting for). Danny, the tech, was very courteous and professional. He was able to find the problem and fixed it. Even gave me some advice as to further improvement so that I wouldn't have any problems in the future. I was very pleased with the ease of making an appointment and their promptness. Highly recommend them!

We were very happy with them in every direction. They were wonderful overall.

The tech came on site in the earlier part of the window providing to me, which was great. He was able to identify that it was the board on the furnace blower unit and we worked on ordering the part and scheduling it. Overall I am satisfied with the service and everything still seems to be working, so I guess the work was done well. I gave a C for price only because I am not aware if it was a good or bad price for the services rendered.

John the technician arrived on time and went right to work. He explained why he was replacing the capacitor. When he was finished with the job he summarized what he did. He explained the service warranty provided by Bloomfield Cooling and Heating and the manufacture's warranty. He informed me that my pacticular air conditioning unit R-22 would be costly to maintain after 2016 because they would no longer be making the parts to service these units. I appreciated him informing me of the situation so I can make an educated decision down the road about my air conditioning unit.

We purchased the $95.00 service call deal on 7/5/14 and were promised that we would be contacted by 7/8/14. Bloomfield contacted us as promised and scheduled service for the next day. Danny arrived on time and as scheduled on 7/9. He diagnosed and repaired the problem within an hour. I would definitely call Bloomfield again.

The ac doesn't work so they could not do maintenance.

It went very well. I was very happy with what they did. They had good ratings on Angie's list. Their price saved me a few bucks. They were very responsive, they came the next day and fixed me in their schedule.

Very professional. The start was as scheduled and the work was completed in a day. Thus far, everything is working as expected. Cost was reasonable. I will definitely call on Bloomfield cooling and heating if I need this type of service.

Based upon prior reviews in Angies list we elected to move our business from another provider who we were not entirely satisfied with. We'd been having problems with our AC keeping pace with the weather along with a series of parts replacement and repairs that seemed excessive. In short, we were not confident that the diagnosis and repair choices were effective. Bloomfield Cooling Heating & Electric Inc has been exceptional in every regard. Communication regarding appointments,and pricing is prompt clear and concise. Their customer service staff is responsible and responsive to our needs. They follow up to confirm appointments assuring us of who to expect and when. The service/repair personnel are professional, skilled and clean up after each job leaving no trace of any mess, not to mention that they will not enter your home without covering their feet first. Most recently, upon inspection of our system it was determined that our thermostat was not properly managing our cooling unit resulting in poor climate control and excessive noise. This determination proved to be correct and is born out in the results. We recommend them without any reservations.

When he crawled into the attic, he observed that the drainage for the primary drain pan was clogged with debris and was probably the main source of the problem. He cleared out the drain pipes, made the repairs and tested it thoroughly. He clearly explained how the system works and what warning signs to look for in the future as to avoid any water damage to our house. (I had previously used someone who was certified in AC work but had a lackadaisical attitude towards the seriousness of the damage that the leaking was causing. Two days later he had set a scheduled time he would drop by but then did not show up and called two days later. His service was obviously cancelled.) I definitely without hesitation would call Bloomfield Cooling again for any future cooling issues as well as heating and electric work. Their cost for repair was less than I expected and the Angies List discount helped also. I was very pleased all around and recommend their service. Lori

The electricians arrived on time and were very professional. We are very pleased with the results. The electricians did a good job of covering the work space with drop cloths and cleaning up prior to leaving. I would use this provider in the future. There were some issues, however. They put a large scrape in our ceiling when putting in one the high hats, they said they were going to caulk the high hat fixtures to blend the gaps into the ceiling, and they did not perform this work. There was also a large scratch on our stone outside steps that seems to have been left by them. We were also quoted $125 (via phone) to install the outlet for the disposal, but upon completion of the work we were told they bill $125/hour for such work and the 3 1/2 hour job came instead to over $500. As always, get your estimates in writing and don't just take the word of someone in the office. Although, perhaps ironically, I got a phone quote from a plumber on the same day of this install, they came and did the work on the same day, and the bill was to the penny of his quote. Caveat emptor.

I made an appointment to have my air conditioning serviced. The company wasn't going to be able to do the work for a week and I found another provider that was able to do it the same day. Even though they ultimately complete the job, weather interactions I had with their customer service was prompt and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them in the future.

The technician came by on time and started to inspect the condenser unit with his gages. He noticed that the pressures were low, indicating a leak in the system. We knew this already and he just confirmed it. Next, he went up in the attic and checked out the evaporator unit. He noticed that the coils were quite dirty. I hadn't thought to check on that. We talked about a few options such as recharging the system and cleaning the coils. We also discussed getting a new system since our 40 year old R-22 system is getting up there. Since the A/C was still cooling, I decided to forgo any repairs and get some quotes. The technician was extremely helpful at identifying what the issues were and giving me some options. I will definitely be making another appointment with Bloomfield to get a quote for a new system.

It was start of summer and I turned on my AC to see that it was blowing air only and not cold air. I figured out that the problem was lack of refrigerant in the AC and called up this service company. I already told them that the AC needed refrigerant filling and asked for a cost estimate. The first rip off was that they wanted to charge $125 for diagnostic in spite of me telling me what the issue was. I reluctantly agreed to it assuming this was standard practice. They also mentioned that they would charge $85 for first lb of refrigerant and $80 for each additional pound necessary. I was ok until this point. The service engineer arrived and did the customary checking of my AC system inside and out, took him 5-10 mins to look at everything. And this cost me an entire $125. I wasn't at home when he was doing this [my wife was at home]. So, I called him to find out his diagnosis. He confirmed that the AC needed refrigerant. I asked him how much was necessary, and he mentioned it would need about 4lbs. I asked him how he came to the conclusion, he was kind of taken aback, did not have a smart answer, and told me that the maximum he would charge me was 4lbs and anything lesser needed would be savings for me. I became confident at that point itself that I was being taken for a ride, so I asked my wife to check his work while he was filling in, to make sure that 4lbs was actually necessary, and 4lbs was actually going to be filled in. When she asked him about how he can determine how much was necessary, and about how to monitor if 4lbs was actually being filled in, he started getting very irritated and giving unprofessional responses to my wife. Responses like "I didnt jsut wake up today and decide to rip you off", I have also completed a degree", "I know what I am doing", etc. I believe I as a customer had every right to ask about how and why a work item is being performed, and to ask for proof of how much refrigerant is being filled in, especially after agreeing to pay the complete amount quoted. He wanted to dupe us with the charge for the refrigerant also. He wanted to charge $85 for every pound of refrigerant, until I reminded him that the price was $5 lesser after the first pound as per what his office representative had quoted. Even if there was not a straight way of showing us how many pounds were being filled, he should have at least had the courtesy to show us the reading on the pressure guage he was using and explained to us what quantity of refrigerant the pressure translates into. If they cannot find out an exact weight of refrigerant while filling it, how on earth would they decided how much to charge us, and if they can charge us for a particular quantity, what is the necessity to hide the fact from us, and added to that get annoyed when asked to show proof of quantity filled. All in all, I believe this is all a scam. I believe he had to fill no more than 1-2lbs of refrigerant and just wanted to rip us off an additional $80 for each pound. It is free money after all. I will never use this company ever, nor recommend to anyone. I probably don't even want to venture anywhere near their office also. Feel free to book an appointment with this company if you have experienced too much goodness in the world, or have earned too much money that you now feel like paying real dollars to someone who provides nothing but arrogance, negative attitude and then as a bonus takes you for a ride also.

They cleaned the filters, replaced the freon, and other things along that line.

Installation for done well and professionally. Generator works well 9 months later. Administratively, the front office was lacking in responsiveness to queries about timing of installation (took over three months after signing contract).

Simple. Great all around. Responsive. Punctual. Customer service. Clean. Value. Professional. I would hire them again.

They arrive on time, they seem to understand our business, they're reliable and they seem to do a good job. They're good, I will use them in a regular basis.

They did a good job installing the mini duct system, but put too many vents in the bathroom and not enough in the bedroom so the bathroom is too cold when the bedroom is comfortable. Outside of that I would give them an A.The last visit for annual servicing was professional, prompt and a good price. I would recommend them to a friend and will continue to use them in future.

Service technician arrived within the time frame stated and performed routine maintenance on the central air system. I wanted to learn more about the AC condenser so he patiently answered all of my questions. Several days later someone from their office called to see if I was satisfied with the work (I was).

I asked the company to explain and they stated the equipment cost. I was shocked that cost of the same system and work can go up by $1400 or 25% in six months. I asked them at least 3x to make sure I heard the increase correctly. I checked with other companies which I had estimates, and they went up by a more reasonable $150 to $250. I grew up in Bloomfield, and I see this company's truck all of the place. I have a favorable impression of the company, and I am saddened to see the sheer greed in jacking up the price by 25% in such a short time. I am offended at any company that's would increase their price to such height. To be fair, they did mention a coupon from Angie's List that would knock down the price by $500. But a $900 increase is hardly palpable. Furthermore, are companies just jacking up the prices much higher so the coupon can take them down a notch? Also to be even fairer, Bloomfield called me and they were pleasant and professional. But I am still in sticker shock and surprise a the company's conduct. As a long time Angie user, I believe others should know this as they deal with this company.

Very cordial and efficient young man arrived within the designated time-frame. He worked efficiently and price was actually lower than anticipated. I would use this company again.
