Forever Fence

Everything went great! It was top of the line and I was very happy with it.

I wasn't particularly happy with the attitude of the installers. They also were supposed to follow up with a minor correction but they never did.

took down and removed the old fencing and installed the new fencing in 2 days. Emilio came out on the final day to fully walk through the project and address any questions or concerns. Overall, the job was done quickly and professionally, just what we expected from all the previous Angie's list comments they had earned. The Angie's list accolades are well deserved!

Emilio and his team are excellent! His guys installed my fence even in the 20 degree weather and it turned about beautifully. Emilio gives great customer service, he even met me at my workplace to take my deposit since I couldn't leave that day. Awesome job - use them again for sure!

Our condo assoc policy is to request 3 bids for all work. Forever Fence was the lowest bidder. Emilio was very good to work with. Work was scheduled and completed in a timely and professional manner.

It took an email and 2 phone calls before i received a call back from the office in which we set up an appointment to receive an estimate.. I thought it was a bad sign that I had to pursue them-just for an estimate. We scheduled an appointment at their convenience-apparently no one was around to come over during the day between 8-5 Monday thru Saturday so I received an appointment at 6:15 p.m. a week later. The might of the appointment we held off dinner and by 6:30-nobody had shown-no phone call. 6:45 we receive a call-he's on the way. He shows up up 7:00 and stays less than 15 minutes-offers very little suggestions-says it's cut and dry and we'll receive an estimate in 48 hours. We're disappointed-this is a nice fence with some interesting details we'd like to keep or replicate if we must replace it but the guy isn't very helpful. A week later and still no estimate-called left another message (no one is ever in the office). I called once a week for three weeks and left a polite message each time. We never received a response. After the fourth call I realized it was time to move on. I should have quit weeks earlier but I saw their high rating here and wanted to believe they would follow up. Although this job was probably about $2500.00 we were planning on a much larger project in the summer as well as several jobs at other commercial properties we own. Foolish mistake on their part. After the fact, I had the opportunity to speak with several other people who had experience with the company and was advised it's well known they're gong downhill and we were lucky it didn't work out.

My wife contacted several fence companies to have a new fence installed to match a neighbor's fence on the other side of the yard. Some companies said they could not match the fence - Forever had no problem matching perfectly. They also quoted the lowest price for the job. They called several days before the installation to tell us when they were coming, and showed up when they said they would. I was not home for the install but my wife told me they did a good job and when I saw it I was very pleased with their work. They also took care not to damage anything in the yard (had just done a lot of work re-seeding in another part of the back yard and was concerned they would trample my work - but they did not). One thing: they asked for payment in full when they arrived to perform the installation (we have already paid a deposit weeks earlier). We did not give them the rest of the payment until the fence was completely installed. We are very happy with our new fence and the way it was installed. Forever Fence did a great job and we would certainly use them again for similar work. UPDATE: Addendum to previous post: I left a VM for Emilio of Forever Fence on 12/3/13 that two of the post caps had blown off during a recent storm and that I had since noticed that the post caps were not fastened at all. I asked for a repair to be made. I did not receive a return call, so I telephoned again on 12/6/13 and spoke to Emilio. Emilio verbalized that the repair of improperly fastened post caps was not a warrantied item and them he could not send a crew to fasten them free of charge. I expressed shock that the fastening of caps to the posts was not covered under warranty and that I certainly expected for $3800, the caps would have been securely fastened at the time of the installation. Emilio stated that he has several crews and it is at the discretion of each crew as to how the caps should be fastened. I stated that I expected that as the manager/owner of Forever Fence, he was responsible for his work crews. Emilio stated that 'if I was patient, and if he had a crew in my area sometime', then a crew could evaluate the situation at that time. I stated that for the cost of the fence, I expected the faulty installation to be remedied and I shouldn't have to wait for a crew to be in my area. Emilio stated that that 'did not make economic sense'. Emilio also asked 'didn't I know that you catch more bees with honey?' and that if I had a 'nicer tone of voice' I could expect more customer satisfaction. I replied that I expected him to provide customer satisfaction for an installation that was only 2 months old and cost $3800. I also explained that none of the post caps had any evidence of nail or staple holes, or any traces of adhesive. Emilio then replied 'so, now you're a fence expert?'. Emilio also stated that he 'had an email from me at the time of installation stating how happy I was with the fence' and he didn't think that post caps blowing off was a reason for a dissatisfaction. He stated that 'he could see 'if the fence blew over or something like that', then he could understand that a customer would be dissatisfied. I explained that it never occurred to me to check that the caps were actually fastened to the posts prior to providing feedback on Angie's List s and that the customer is the arbiter of customer satisfaction, not the company owner. Under no circumstance would I recommend Forever Fence.

I contacted Forever Fence to replace our worn-out wooden fence with a vinyl fence. I can't tell you how many other fence companies I've contacted that didn't call back, or came out and gave estimates but were never to be heard from again. Emilio from Forever Fence exceeded our expectations from the very start. He went the extra mile in every respect - from contacting our zoning official personally, to writing up estimates for both wood and vinyl fencing, and keeping in contact every step of the way. Our fence was installed quickly and looks terrific. I'd recommend Emilio and Forever Fence to anyone!

It went terrific. From the time of Emilio's first vist, during the process, and staying in touch with us, it just went great!! The crew was super efficient, professional and just plain got the job done right. They cleaned up and did not leave one scrap of material.. even swept the street where some cement was mixed. You could not tell workers were in our yard. AMAZING!! I have been in the service industry for 39 years and I can say this is the best service company I have dealt with in a long time. And get this.. Emilio READS AND RESPONDS to your text messages... Ama zing.

Emilio was great. He was very professional, prompt and kept us informed every step of the way. His price was competitive and I chose him over a larger company because I wanted to deal with the owner, not some salesman. I will be recommending him to friends.

Was very helpful in making it cost efficient and gave beneficial design ideas. Reliable and easy to deal with. Super nice. Ended up coming 1 week before scheduled date of install to accommodate our needs.

We contracted with Forever Fence to replace an old stretch of wood fence. I'd used them before and had Emilio out to advise on our options and price out a proposal. He was very good with offering options that maximized what we could do within our budget (it's a homeowner's association). He also helped me determine what preparation was needed to get the site ready for the new fence. We had a lot to do including removing the old fence, digging out 6 large shrubs, removing debris, and leveling the site. He advised that it would be best to use our landscaper to do that work; since Forever Fence was scheduling 6-8 weeks out, that gave me time to put the site prep out for bids and get the work done. We finally got to the scheduled installation date and first their supplier messed them up, then weather got in the way. Although they were a little spotty about returning calls & emails earlier, they were very good during this time in communicating what was happening. On the new, rescheduled installation date, they arrived on time and got right to work. There was a small kink in our planned layout because of a large tree next to the property line, but Abraham, the foreman, devised a good work-around that allowed them to complete the work pretty much as planned. The end result is great and completely transformed that area of our complex. They also repaired the damaged chain-link fence and it looks as good as new.

The service provider completed all aspects of our contractual agreement. Installation was delayed due to fence manufacturer.

Emilio's guys are very professional and communicated with us every step of the way and explained the different stages of the installation. We had to be a little persistent getting in contact with their office staff as we seemed to be dealing with them in their busy season so this is about the only negative that we experienced but it was nothing major and all in all we are completely satisfied with their work.

The only negative I have is that it took almost 2 weeks to get someone to come out and just do a quote. By then, I thought I had already chose a service provider however the lack of professionalism from other service providers allowed me to meet Forever Fence. The owner visited my property, provided me a quote right there which was competitive and then sent a contract through the next day. I was impressed my their professionalism as it seemed they knew how to run a business. The installation went well. We ended up getting additional panel which cost more money but in the end I was happy with the service, responsiveness (after the quote), and the follow up.

I would definitely hire Forever Fence again. I had someone come out to give me a quote on replacing the rotted wood fence that sits on my back property line with a new PVC privacy fence. I was quoted an estimate and then sent a quote $200 more. I called up and spoke to Emilio, the owner. He said that having me as a customer meant more to him than the $200. He honored the original quote. I spoke to Emilio a bunch of times before the install took place. He was always very kind and quick to respond to both emails and phone calls. He warned me upfront that due to Hurricane Sandy and the fact that it was summer that it was going to take about 6-8 weeks for the install to be completed. It took 8 weeks but everything went well. They dropped off all of the materials on a monday and then installed it while I was at work the next day. I have already recommended them to my cousins who have been in touch with them for an estimate on their fence repair.

Took a couple weeks to schedule but I consider price to be fair and work was efficient- fence is great- would call them again if I needed to!

We love our new fence! Forever Fence was professional, prompt and flexible with all our needs and requests. Emilio was very friendly and was particualrly great at providing us the necessary information to make sure our fence for the backyard was what we wanted. The day of the installation went smoothly and the final product was exactly what we wanted. We tend to be a little picky and Forever Fence delivered. Good job! We are very pleased! We highly recommend this company.

Their price was fair and they promptly emailed us, responded and called us.

As a few have stated already, there were some delays (~1 month) getting the fence installed from the time I gave Jonathon, my initial point of contact at Forever Fence, the green light to go ahead with the project and when it actually took place in June. This was somewhat understandable given the fact that it was their busy season (another fence company that provided me with an estimate was 2 months backlogged) and the transition with Jonathon no longer being with the company. With Jonathon out of the picture, the owner Emilio stepped in and provided A+ customer service. Emilio was extremely responsive to all my inquiries and kept me up to speed with the progress of their other installations, which were in queue prior to my installation. Regarding the finished product, I couldn't be happier. There were some unexpected issues that arose during the actual installation but Emilio and I were able to come to a mutual agreement on how best to handle it, details of which are outside of the scope of this review. With that being said, I would definitely recommend Forever Fence for anyone looking to have any fence work done.

I was very happy with how everything worked out. Emilio was always up front and honest. His crew was very professional and they did a great job in the installation. Apparently Forever Fence was going through some transitioning in the last couple months. This caused concern for me and probably contributed to delays in scheduling. But through it all, Emilio did a good job of telling me what was going on and why things might be delayed. It was also high season for them, so it was all quite understandable. So I had to wait a couple weeks for the work to be done. But I was okay with that. It was more important for me that the work was done well. In regards to a previous review - I think the fact that Emilio was willing to refund $800 (that he is contractually entitled to) to make a customer happy says a lot. Also, I've never found threats an effective form of communication and I'm glad that Emilio didn't give in to those threats from that couple. The bottom line is that Emilio cares about keeping the customer happy. He is fair and honest and that is priceless when working with a contractor.

On 4/22 I requested an estimate for installation of approximately 100 feet of chain link fence and 2 gates in my back yard. Jonathan, who no longer works with Forever Fence, came and gave me an estimate promptly and professionally. I received a proposal on 4/23 for $1750. I asked for and received a $100 discount on 4/24. I was told that the fence would be installed in the next couple of weeks and that because it was a small job, they could fit it in between other jobs. I sent back the signed proposal and sent a check for $800 for a deposit. The check was cashed on 5/8. I did not hear from them until I called on 5/21. I was politely told that they were very backed up because of the weather and asked to be patient. I was not given a commitment for an installation date. On 5/24 I emailed and asked again for an update. I did not receive a response. I received a mass email on Memorial Day 5/27 with more apologies and explanations for why they were delayed with another request for patience. I emailed on the same day asking for an installation estimate. I did not receive a response and emailed again today (5/29) asking for a response. In the email exchange that followed I was not given a commitment and was told that I was not being patient. I asked for a commitment and informed Emilio that if he could not commit to installation within another week I would be forced to look for another vendor. I was told that I would not get my deposit back because the contract stipulates that the deposit is non-refundable (as it does - it is true). I replied asking again when I could have my fence installed. I was told that he had answered my question (he had not) and that he would be glad to refund my money. At this point there were some crossed wires and my wife sent an angry email threatening to post a bad review if our money was not refunded. She was not aware that Emilio had agreed to provide a refund. I immediately sent an apology for her email and requested our refund. I received a response in which I was told that due to my wife's email they would only provide a refund if we signed a waiver not to post a negative review online. I told him that I would agree not to post anything untrue but that I felt that his email was unethical and I expected a refund. His last email is what prompted me to write this review. In it, he said that he would not correspond further, we would not receive a refund unless we signed a release, and that it is a shame we weren't more patient and polite because a crew was nearby and probably could have installed our fence sooner rather than later! Such behavior is completely unacceptable. Had he told me that in our initial exchange, I would have gladly waited. I am shocked and disappointed that someone I found through Angie's List could be so unprofessional.

The owner came and looked at the job and gave me an estimate. I also got another estimate and it was lower so he adjusted hs price and came in below the other company. They showed up onetime and did a good job.
