I had no problem scheduling a date (I work from home so am flexible). On the promised date a crew of three was dropped off with full gear for cleaning. We briefly went over what I wanted (basically everything!) and I asked them to adjust there typical schedule (they said they go from top to bottom, but I needed them to do bottom to top) which was no problem. Before I was even started talking about what needed doing two of the crew were already prepping things (e.g., spraying down the oven/stove top for cleaning). They did an incredibly good job of thoroughly cleaning EVERYTHING. I was amazed! It was a little disconcerting that they stacked/organized/put away a lot of things that were out, but at the end of the day they did the right thing and I am very pleased to have my piles of junk organized and put away. I took the opportunity to pull a lot of stuff out as they were cleaning and organizing and threw out a huge pile of junk the next day. All in all three women worked incredibly hard for 12+ hours - and they were obviously used to working with each other as they had strategies for moving furniture (to clean behind/under) etc. to leverage the best methods. It was more expensive than what I had thought, but that was based more on my thinking they would "just clean" and they did much, much more than that. Since they left I have been able to tackle some of those purging jobs that should be done regularly but you never get to because you spend your time doing routine work (vacuuming, washing floors, etc.) instead. I have arranged to have them come back regularly to keep this up. The next cleaning will obviously not be so intense or long, and I look forward to having a clean house from now on.

I have used Heart and Saul for the past 5 years, two times per month, to clean my home. I hired them after using many house cleaning services that were well advertised but cut corners and simply didn?t do a good job. A friend recommended Heart and Saul to me indicating that she had "never had her house so clean" after using them. For the past 5 years, Heart and Saul showed up when scheduled and the cleaning team of three women work hard to keep my house looking good. They clean under the furniture, move items, and scrub everything until it gleams, they straighten out drawers, closets, and also clean the fridge. You can ask for special tasks and they will do them. The owner of the company has always been professional, and is very pleasant to deal with. The ladies that do the cleaning are very nice people and are hardworking. In the 5 years I have been using this company I have had no complaints at all. It is unusual to find a well-run company with a continuous record of excellent service over a 5 year period, such that they continue to provide consistent results each time they come to provide their cleaning service. I could not be happier with Heart and Saul and will continue to enjoy the beautiful clean home they give me every two weeks.

Okay. Where to start. All started well when we called the owner for an appointment. Owner seemed to be friendly and stated she would be there with the girls. Appointment day came and the owner's husband arrived with the "Cleaning girls" (3 of them without the owner) on time- again no problem. However, after having the 3 girls cleaning my master bedroom/bath for over an hour and a half I was getting a bit concerned. My husband called the owner to get her thoughts on the situation. She stated she would come to the house to check the progress. (My husband was working, I was at the house) After we called her, questioning her crew she called her crew and apparently told them to "speed it up" or something to that affect as she told me. After that, they moved out of the master/bathroom and onto the next. I decided to go check the results of the master (as any owner would), ran my hand along the side of the cabinet and felt/saw complete dust. I'm sorry but this isn't my first time hiring a cleaning service, but this is the first time I had such a huge amount of dust- in plain site, not touched. When this was brought to the attention of the owner she stated that we were "Rushing them" and they were no going though the house with a "fine tooth comb" as they should. These terms used by the owner herself. I'm sorry but it doesn't take a "fine tooth comb" to see a large amount of dust on a cabinet that should of been wiped down. She then claimed one of the girls was new, so it was her fault. After getting a complete terrible attitude from the owner when she walked in the door, I decided to call my husband to see where to go from there. She talked to my husband, with the same attitude I received. She actually asked him something I'd rather not repeat, but it was very offensive to both him and the workers. We let them continue as we were moving in the next day and needed the house to be at least relatively clean. The girls were friendly, well as friendly as can be when one out of 3 speak english. The job got done, a good job? I wouldn't call it good. I'd call it fair. My issue wasn't as much as the fair cleaning I received as much as the poor poor attitude the owner has. She likes to repeat over and over that she came from the Bergen County and that she has been doing this for 19 or however many years she throws in your face. It took them6 hours to clean our house, but in the end we just wanted them to be done and the owner out of our hair, so we paid them and on their way they went. I'm sorry but I wouldn't hire this company again if they did a perfect job, all because the owners poor attitude towards customers. So much for the customer always being right? Or even being friendly to the customer is over this owner's head.

It was great!!!!!! I would recommend Heart and Saul to anyone. I received compliments from everybody on how clean and sparkling it was. My house has never in 40 years looked so clean!!!!!! Thanks again for all your hard work!! Our house sold, and we are HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!

The owner brought 3 women to do the cleaning (probably needed 4). They cleaned 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, living room, dining room, kitchen, and closed porch (which I told them not to clean, but okay to vacuum). They did a fantastic job but took 7 hours; hence, why they should have had 4 people. They seemed rushed at the end and therefore did not do a great job with cleaning the kitchen floor--the place that needed it most. The price is average @ $95/hour; however, the owner estimated that it would take 3-4 hours. It took 7 hours, which becomes very expensive but I suppose a necessary evil.

They were absolutely wonderful. Their rate is $95/hour and two women came to do the work. I think the price is fair. They did an excellent job, they cleaned the house within three hours, and it shined when they were done. The cleaned everything and they even dusted the walls. They were very dependable, they showed up on time, and they brought all of their own cleaning supplies. The house smelled very clean when they were done.

I have nothing negative to say. They have been very accommodating.

Does an amazing job as comparied to other services I have had in the past. Actually moves objects to clean under them and on a rotating basis cleans the fridge, kitchen/bathroom drawers, medicine cabinet, etc. My bathrooms and kitchen look beautiful and I couldn't be happier.

I have used Heart & Saul every 2 weeks for roughly 6 months for regular housecleaning. They are always professional, on time and always do a great job. I absolutely love them. A regular team of 3 ladies arrives and they work for 3 hours on my 3 bedroom home - which is very dirty after 2 weeks of 3 kids and 3 dogs and 2 working adults. They are worth every penny.

They were very good. They were very thorough in what they did. I chose them based on the good comments that I read about them online. I don?t think that the price was expensive for what they did. There were two girls who had come out and they were here for about four hours. They were excellent overall. The quality of their work was excellent. Everything else about them was excellent. I would use their services in the future too and we need to negotiate the prices on a weekly basis.

Quality of cleaning was excellent. Took too long, cost too much. The women who cleaned were very nice and respectful. They spent time on things I specifically told them not to do. They did a great job but to me it was not worth $450.

They arrived on time, stayed for nearly 12 hours, did an extensive spring cleaning. My house has never been cleaner. We were very happy.

Always does an excellent job. The only cleaning company I've ever had (and I've used a bunch) that actually moves thing to clean under them, cleans inside of the medicine cabinet, fridge, etc. You can also request what you want done and things to leave alone. This drives my husband crazy since he likes things in the exact same place down to the 1/8 inch. I am thrilled because the Heart and Saul cleaning ladies declare a "war on dirt" and get things sparking clean. They do a much better job than I would do myself. I am very happy with this service.

I could not have been more pleased with the services provided. The team of 3 arrived with their supervisor promptly at the time scheduled with their own cleaning materials. The supervisor was very up front that myy house was going to take all day and had some suggestions (floor wax which was extra - I agreed, thirty dollars and my beat up wood floors shine!) They cleaned everything from the ceiling down in my 3 bedroom house. My house was absolutely filthy (three dogs, three kids, 2 parents with full time jobs). They moved furniture, cleaned base boards, scrubbed floors, washed windows, wiped blinds, organized messy closets... I don't think my home has EVER been this clean! I've had other cleaning services - this one beat them all hands down. 95 dollars an hour was an excellent price - a previous service charged me $160 an hour for far less quality.

The team was three women who cleaned my house in detail that frankly it has NEVER been cleaned before in its entire existence. Walls were washed, every surface inside and out cleaned and floors polished. Unlike other services, there was nary a dust bunny under any furniture (even heavier pieces!). They were very professional and courteous and their team leader checked on them periodically through the day. I was so pleased that I signed up for their maintenance plan. One thing you should be aware of is that for a thorough clean they will clean EVERYTHING. That includes cleaning out and reorganizing cabinets. If that is not something that you want, you must make that perfectly clear at the outset. I read the reviews here and understanding how they work, left a detailed list of "exclusions" that I did not want done by the team. That ensured that the time they spent was for the things I wanted, and after seeing them work, I did end up adding back in certain things like organizing my kitchen cabinets. Yes, this is expensive but they work on a very steady basis and it's amazing how truly clean your house can be after eight and half hours of steady work by three professionals. If you understand how they work and set your expectations and parameters, you will be tremendously pleased at their efficiency, professionalism and results.

They are working out very well. They are very thorough, which is why we decided to hire them.

I tried many other cleaning services before finding Heart and Saul. My main complaint with the other services was that they never cleaned under anything. If you dust around an object without lifting it, in my opinion it is not cleaning. If you don't clean blinds, spots on the walls, windows, etc. when they look dirty, what good is having a cleaning company? Every two weeks, three Heart and Saul employees come to my house and declare a war on dirt. They scrub my bathrooms until they gleam, vacuum, and do a better job of cleaning than anyone (including myself) ever did. The employees are respectful and work hard. The rate is fair. They come when they say they will and do whatever you ask. As fussy as I am, I have no complaints about their service.

I was told rate was $90/hour, and that the first cleaning was very thorough, then a per week price would be set. I was very clear about what I wanted done, and didn't want done (i.e. closet cleaning/organizing). After 1st hour, I checked and they were STILL on the first bathroom (2 girls) while a 3rd had spent all of her time organizing our closets---exactly what we said NOT to do! When we told Herman, he talked to them, but didn't offer to deduct $$. Four hours later, they were STILL upstairs (we have 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths). We told Herman we needed to leave, and he said they'd still be here when we returned at 4pm--that's 7 hours of cleaning!!! That's $630!!! Insane! We said we couldn't afford that, and that it didn't make sense since our 1st floor has only ONE furnished room. We asked what the weekly cost would be, and he said they don't do less than 3 hours---which means we would be paying $270 a WEEK for 3 women to clean 1/2 the house--ridiculous! So we gave them $450 and called it a day. Honestly, if they had told us from the beginning that they don't clean for less than $270/week, we never would have tried them. That's the most expensive cleaning service around--and for only 1/2 the house cleaned? Crazy.

The cleaners cleaned everything methodically. All appliances were moved and cleaned inside, outside, under and behind. Every piece of furniture or box was moved to clean. Windows cleaned until they glistened. Methodical, organized, dedicated, went above and beyond. Moved items from floor to floor at my request. Arranged a future visit to clear the basement of hazardous waste and organize as well. I plan to use the team for biweekly house cleaning maintenance. I feel the cost was very reasonable for the number of cleaners, amount of time, responsiveness and overall result. Would recommend and continue to use this business without reservations.

Absolutely thorough beyond belief. They move stuff, they clean behind and under things. Reliable, prompt, no problems.
