The three ladies spent 10 Hours cleaning every surface of a house which was covered with construction dust. They worked extemely hard through the day. I would highly recommend them and plan on using them for routine cleaning.

I have read the reviews about the complaints about the costs for Heart & Saul Cleaning, so let me tell you my story and you'll understand why they are absolutely amazing. Sadly, back in January 2018 my home burnt down, I lost everything! Living in a hotel for 2 months and then finally moving into a rental home in Lake Hoptacong. The place needed a deep clean, it was a total disgusting mess! Two older individuals lived there and I don't think they ever mopped, dusted, cleaned inside refrigerator or even cleaned the toilet, etc... It was horrible!!! I called Susan and she gave me rates and was able to clean the day I moved in. Sadly, the landlord went with another local cleaning service and they did nothing!!! She even yelled at my landlord that this place is a mess... OMG.. My OCD etc... she didn't even bring some cleaning supplies. My landlord was going out to the store to by more for them and at one point she even said... I can't reach it so its not getting cleaned. Can you even imagine!!! A cleaning service that didn't want to clean. They were even told before hand that the place needed a deep clean, from top to bottom, that it was a mess. Windows need to be washed and rugs steamed, refrigerator and oven cleaned. Everything from top to bottom. They didn't even clean the ceiling fans or mop the floors!! But they took $300 for nothing - NOTHING!!! Shame on you!! When I got to my new house... I cried hysterically!!! It was as a complete mess. There was so much cleaning to do and I could not handle it. I called Susan, the owner from Heart & Saul crying hysterically and she was here with her team within a few hours and they worked their butts off for the next 6 hours non-stop!! They went room to room and washed the walls down, cleaned the ceiling fans, washed all the windows, screens and frames, the cabinets inside and out and even got up on a ladder and cleaned on top of the cabinets. Every frame, molding, nook and cranny they cleaned. They even moved the refrigerator and cleaned behind it. They cleaned inside the kitchen cabinets, where everything falls in the back. My new home was starting to look like a real home!!! It was amazing!!! Susan and her team were my saving grace! I don't know what I would have done without them and all their hard work. There are no words to express how Thankful and Grateful I am to them! So Yeah, they charged a lot, but let me tell you - you get what you pay for and they are worth every single penny! Great. Ladies are extremely professional and do an excellent job. They take care of everything, including supplies and are great at what they do. Sue, the owner, is also wonderful making sure everything is taken care of and is very responsive and helpful.

Great. The house is always clean and tidy after the crew gets done. The wife loves coming home to a clean house.... once every two weeks.

Excellent. The first house cleaning is what they called a "spring cleaning" where they spend a long time (for me it was 6 hours) really deep cleaning everything--all rooms, decks, underneath, behind, on top of everything--to bring it up to their standards. They do a walk through that first time and talk you through what they can do and it's up to you to decide how much you'd like and for how long you'd like them there that first time. It's an hourly fee, just under $100/hour, and it's a team of 3. I was so impressed with the quality and service that I hired them to come on a regular basis since (over a year ago) for upkeep. For me, it's about every 3 weeks and they spend 2 hours. They come in teams of 3, and they are very professional and stay out of your way--I work from home a lot and have no problem getting work done while they are here. If they're ever running late from another job, I get a text message with an update. I highly recommend them.

Heart and Saul did a great cleaning in my house. They went above and beyond cleaning inside cabinets and refrigerator. The owner loves animals. They're products are dog and kid friendly, which is very important to me. After they thoroughly cleaned my house (which it was way overdue), I now have them maintain the cleaning of my house every two weeks. Being a working mom, and not having much time to clean the house, it's great to come home to the wonderful smell of a clean home. They are awesome!!!

I have been using Heart & Soul for 13 years and have always been satisfied with their work. The owners are very responsive and pleasant and are willing to work with any issue or extra cleaning project I have. The girls are pleasant, respectful and professional. They also take great care of my wood floors, using products that are safe and restorative. My house always sparkles when they have been here!

It was extremely poor. You know what I'm talking about it's ridiculous. I went out and found my own and I'm paying $125 now. So I mean you can do the math. It's a rip-off. They're a rip-off. That company's a total rip-off and they were very arrogant and they were extremely arrogant on the phone. That's just for a housecleaning. Overall, it was a horrible experience. On price, it was the worst. I mean I don't know what else to tell you. It was ridiculously bad. On responsiveness, they called me back in the appropriate time. On punctuality, that's responsiveness in my back. That's all the same. They were professional. I would give them a C because they were arrogant.

Heart & Saul was a flier - they're not local to me, but I saw favorable reviews and reached out for an initial visit. I believe the office is close to a 45 minute drive away, but the owner was very willing to add our location to her cleaning rotation. She scheduled the initial cleaning within a week of the first call, and they showed up as promised - cleaning staff and owner - to do a walk-through. An earlier negative review mentioned "sticker shock" for the spring cleaning service, and our initial cleaning was expensive - approximately $700, which was higher than I wanted to budget. Having said that, THEY DO GOOD WORK. Floor to ceiling cleaning - windows, baseboards, regular furniture, cupboards - they cleaned our toaster oven... After seeing how a clean house looks/feels, we scheduled regular two-week visits. The other cleaning teams did a reasonable job for a lot less, but I received a text from my wife after the most recent Heart & Saul visit - "seriously, I love our cleaning people." No more arguments about cost - it's higher than I wanted - but the house looks great (they cleaned the dog's bowls...) and that peace of mind is worth the expense.

I took a short break from the services simply to feel like to I could clean my own place but i would laugh because it never looked like what they did and i could have been doing other things. Recently I moved to a new home and after some construction I just knew the best option was to contact them. They came immediately to ensure I would have a nice clean home before anything was moved in. I wish i had taken a picture. Once we settle in with everything, we will definitely have them back to keep us neat and clean. Well worth it. I don't feel like i just pay for a clean home, i pay for a piece of sanity and my time back.

My $690 cleaning birthday gift left me stunned. I read the many positive reviews for this business before I hired this business to clean my home. My husband was giving me a housecleaning for my birthday and I scheduled the cleaning for the day of my birthday. I should have asked more questions. I know many others rate Heart & Saul highly, however, I cannot give a positive review due to my personal experience. Unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one and left me feeling quite negative and in "sticker shock" on my birthday. I am a longtime member of Angie’s list and have only submitted one or two reviews that were not positive. I called this business and had a positive conversation with the owner and scheduled an appointment over the phone with Heart & Saul after reading reviews on Angie’s list. I asked the cost and was told it was $115 per hour for my 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home. Previous cleaning services cleaned my home thoroughly and for under $300. I confirmed the fee and asked how long the cleaning would take and was told 2-3 hours. The cleaners were scheduled to arrive at 8AM but showed up at 7:45Am with the owner. The owner, cleaning supervisor (who spoke limited English) and I walked through the rooms to be cleaned and explained certain issues. The owner told me they would do a thorough “Spring” cleaning, ceiling to floor. I had not been given a time frame for the cleaning by the owner and became anxious when the cleaners were still working 3 hours later and then to my horror, stayed an additional 3 hours making it a 6 hour job! The cleaning went from 8 am - 1:30 pm when the owner arrived. The cleaning crew had no transportation to leave and needed to phone the owner to be picked up. When the owner arrived, she said the bill was $690.00 for the cleaning. She then reduced it $25 for being an Angie's List member. I had to sit down as I was literally shocked speechless for a moment. I explained my husband would be very angry when he heard that price as I had estimated and told him it would be much less. My house is less than 1800 square feet and not a large home. I expressed my shock to the owner that the cleaners seemed to be here for a very long time to which the owner replied they had cleaned everything thoroughly. I was stunned at the price and told we had not intended to spend that amount on the cleaning. I felt I should have been informed of a time frame and given a rough estimate when they owner did a walk-through of the home and saw the scope of the work needed. That did not happen. I take responsibility for failing to request that I paid the bill as I felt I had no choice but to pay for the service. I blamed myself for not asking more questions and not getting a firm estimate before the work was done. That was my mistake and I paid dearly for it. I have spent several sleepless nights reviewing this experience over and over. I felt angry and felt I had been unfairly charged an exorbitant amount of money. When I paid the bill, and informed the owner that there was a glass light fixture that was broken during the cleaning. She told me to buy a replacement and she would send me a check for the cost. Overall, my experience was was negative and perhaps, partially my mistake for not asking & receiving an estimate prior to the actual cleaning date. My advice to prospective clients is to get a firm estimate in person and an estimate of how many hours, before hiring this company and ask what a “spring” cleaning means in terms of work hours and what will be done.

I've used Heart and Saul for over seven years. I've had bi-weekly service in the past and now have weekly service. I've used at least a half dozen services and none are as competent, efficient and easy to work with as H&S. Here are the reasons why: 1. Punctuality. They show up when they say they will. If there is any change to the schedule they communicate promptly. 2. Outstanding work result. They clean EVERYTHING. Everything! My house has never been so spotless. They are great about adding or subtracting services, and each time they come they proactively determine what needs to be done (e.g. windows, fridge, cabinets) and take care of it. They are diligent about cleaning under surfaces, dusting all surfaces, taking care of dust in ceiling fans, etc. If you ask they will also provide services like rug cleaning. 3. Reasonable rates for services. They provide a team of 3 for their rates which depending on the service frequency are about $100+/hr. I can tell you, it may seem steep but considering the thoroughness of the cleaning it is extremely competitive. I've had other services where I have had fewer people for less money and sometimes they whirl in and out with the minimal amount of cleaning. Other services sometimes just work on the "wrong" things, so I'll come home and find the surfaces are barely clean but my cabinets are completely taken apart and I can't find a darn thing! That's not what H&S do. They respect belongings and where they are located and spend their efforts on the right thing. 3. Time. If you pay for three hours, you get three hours. Not two hours of people working and one hour of people sitting on the porch taking a break or watching TV (which I've walked in on with past services). They come in and are working from the time they arrive to the time they leave. 4. Care. Accidents happen but we have a lot of valuable items and all of them are well cared for when cleaned, and if anything should happen, they are proactive about letting me know and not trying to mask or hide it, an issue that I have encountered with other services. 5. Communication. Sue and Herman the owners are very responsive and easy to chat with and there are no issues with breakdown in communications or misunderstandings. In addition to regular cleaning, if you want a "spring clean" I cannot speak highly enough about it. Your house will be SPOTLESS. It's amazing what a really complete, deep down getting into the nooks and crannies clean can do for your house from how fresh it smells to how it alleviates spring allergies. I highly recommend it. P.S. A couple of years ago due to some financial issues I had to stop cleaning services. When I could start up again I used another local company. After several months I made the decision that H&S was the only service I wanted cleaning my home. It is definitely worth the money for all of the quality and customer service received.
