Kevin Coposky is a thorough professional. How lucky to have found him on Angie's List. We chose him over four other bidders. Every aspect of work was executed with care. His son, Travis, and every sub-contractor he brought in, reflected the same professionalism and integrity. With such an extensive amount of work, there are bound to be bumps along the way. But they were not because of Kevin. He promised to dedicate himself to our project and he did. When we experienced some of those "bumps," he adjusted his schedule to ensure that the pace continued smoothly. We purchased tile flooring from Home Depot and did not notice that the sku's did not match 100 percent. Kevin went back to the store and when he could not find the exact size, he cut and laid the tile with care and precision (without extra charge). Before choosing Kevin, we read other Angie's List reviews and found one that complimented him for cleaning up after each work day. Our experience confirms that. With all of the mess generated by our project, taking down walls and ceilings, replacing old fixtures, etc., we found that whenever we walked into the house after he left, the place was swept clean and free of debris. We enjoyed working with him and his team. We are enjoying the results of their efforts. In short, we are very pleased with the outcome of the project and will definitely use him again.

It was the best experience we have ever had with a contractor. He listened to our ideas as things change once the job starts. He was very receptive and receptive to all of our changes and alterations. Very easy to work with. I would hire Coposky Contracting again without hesitation and I will refer him to anyone looking for a quality job at a fair price!
We had used Kevin before for other jobs in this house. He has always been professional, and his work is top notch. This job had to be done very quickly since the old tenants moved out, and I needed to prepare the house to show new prospective tenants. We spoke about the jobs that needed to be accomplished, and Kevin was able to accomplish all of the jobs within 2 days. While he was doing the work, it was stated to us by the realtor, that the house needed to be repainted as well. Kevin was amazing. With only 1 days notice, he brought in a crew to get the entire 1st floor painted in 1 day. All of the jobs listed, were completed in 3 days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). I will continue to use Kevin Coposky for all of my contracting needs at our house.
Description of Work: Stained deck, and replaced wood on deck railing. Painted entire first floor of house. Replaced medicine cabinet in bathroom. Did caulking in bathroom, and outside windows. Replaced basement tiles that were lose due to water. Replaced basement ceiling tiles. Installed new blinds on front bay window, and latch on screen door. Also other smaller jobs as well.

Kevin helped my wife and I settle into our recently purchased home by completing many items we had on our list as far as making the house our home. There was a lot of painting, as we changed most of the room colors in the house, as well as changing faucets, interior doors, the entry door, tiling the powder room bathroom and even removing and old kids' swing set and putting together a new one. The biggest task we had was to close off a corner door to a large bonus room and install French doors instead, making the room more accessible. Kevin handled everything with professionalism and was very reliable. He even went the extra mile in cleaning up on certain projects which I was very impressed with. He also gave his opinion on other work in the house and overall helped make remodeling as painless and stress free as possible. We have already recommended him to friends and will definitely want him to return for our projects down the road.

Kevin and his son Travis did an excellent job remodeling my master bathroom. The job took a little less than 2 weeks which is exactly what he told me. Kevin was very prompt, professional and responsive. I was not able to be at home while the work was being done and I felt completly comfortable leaving them alone in my home. I have two other bathrooms that will need to be remodeled in the future and I will be certain to have Kevin back.

We purchased the stairs from a local home improvement store, and Kevin did an excellent job of installing them. The attention to clean-up was wonderful, too: he laid a tarp down to protect our carpeting below and around the work area, then vacuumed the same area once the work had been complete. We have had Kevin do prior work for us (installing a sliding glass door, affix molding to our living room) and have appreciated the good work and professional manner he & his associate have always done. We wouldn't hesitate to contact Coposky Contracting for other jobs in the future.

I had used Kevin for a previous job in June of this year, and his work was excellent, so I knew he would do a great job on this project. This time I needed Kevin do some deck work. He explained exactly what had to be done, and the job took 2 days; one day to remove the rotten floor boards on the deck, and the next day to put the new floor boards in. The finished deck looks great. I will continue to use Kevin for all my contracting needs.

Kevin was extremely professional. He is very knowledgeable and assisted me with picking the bathtub and tile, which made the process much easier for me. Kevin was also very sensitive to the budget constraints that I had. He also finished in the time frame that we spoke about. The job took about 2 days, but each day he kept me informed of his progress, and cleaned the bathroom area so it was useable. The finished product was beautiful. Would definitely use him again for other contracting jobs.

The work performed was of the highest quality which was especially remarkable given the unique nature of the home's construction (a log home). Despite the fact that I live far away and had to rely often on telephone and email conversations, Mr. Coposky was able to capture my ideas perfectly and provide some very helpful suggestions of his own. The rooms look many times better than I have ever seen them look before. Additionally, Mr. Coposky demonstrated great customer-relations skills and understanding. When I needed to postpone work several times due to unrelated issues in the home and dealings with other contractors he showed great flexibility in his schedule and never complained of the delays. He was also very prompt with returning my phone calls and emails. In conclusion, I have hired Mr. Coposky several times already and will do so again for my next home-improvement job. For anyone with home improvement needs I would very strongly recommend Coposky Contracting.
Description of Work: Coposky Contracting completely renovated the kitchen and bathroom of my log cabin. This included new floors in both rooms, placing for the first time plaster-board over the walls of the kitchen, new ceilings, new cabinets, sinks, custom shower basin, toilet and some rewiring.
From the time I scheduled the appointment for the estimate to the last day of construction, Kevin Coposky was a consummate professional. His responsiveness to all requests was a refreshing experience from my past encounters with contractors over the last 19 years. I met with 5 contractors for pricing on this project, and Kevin's price was very reasonable. He always arrived on time and cleaned the work area at the end of the day. The remodel included demolition, installation of new cabinetry, sink with faucet, a new vented hood, lighting, floor tile, backsplash and painting. The kitchen is beautiful, and I am extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the attention to detail. Kevin and his son Travis were also very accommodating with requests that were outside of the original scope of work. It was clear that a customer's satisfaction is his priority. I will definitely use Kevin's services again and recommend him highly.

Kevin was very responsive to my first call and came out within a couple of days to provide an estimate. The shower had developed a leak in areas where the original grout had cracked. Kevin took out the old shower down to the studs and rebuilt it according to current code. He also suggested that we expand the shower a bit to take advantage of the available space. This was one of the best things we did! I picked out and purchased the shower fixtures and tiles separately - they were not included in the price quoted. Kevin and his son were very efficient; they arrived on time and put in full days. They did a great job with the clean up and disposal of the demolition materials. They also recommended another company to provide a frameless shower door. It was a great recommendation! I couldn't be happier with the results. I would definitely recommend them and will probably use them again on additional projects next year.

Kevin was very responsive when we contacted him right before Christmas, and he came by promptly to give us a quote. His estimate was very reasonable compared to the other quotes we got. We also were impressed with the fact that he is very professional, yet personable-- a really nice guy. He and his team of Travis (his son) and Andy worked efficiently and kept things moving well without unnecessary delays or wasted time. They were adept at juggling their work when we introduced other projects or made changes midstream. Importantly, they showed up when they said they would. We could always reach Kevin by email, text, or phone, and he was great about following up and coming by to do some minor adjustments even after the work was finished. We are very pleased with the outcome of our projects, most notably the master bathroom remodel. Kevin did the tile work himself and the results are beautiful. We are also very happy with our second biggest project, the hardwood floors. The sub-contractors Kevin brought in to do them were very efficient and did a superb job. Overall we feel that all the work done was of high quality, and we would gladly use Kevin again.

Kevin and his son did a great job on the bathroom renovation. They were always on time and extremely professional. There were a couple of minor hiccups they had to deal with through no fault of their own and did not pass on any additional cost. The job was completed on time with a very reasonable cost, I will be using Kevin again and will recommend him to my friends. It was by far the best experience with a contractor that we had. I highly recommend them.

Kevin and his worker (son) were right on time. They tackled our old glass sliding patio doors first,. When the old glass decided to crack into a spiderweb pattern from head to foot, Kevin was able to remove the damaged door carefully, and vacuum up any pieces of glass that did not stay within the safety glass door. He was willing to answer any question about the installation. I pulled up a YouTube video that my fiance & I had watched, and asked about the process, Kevin took time to identify and explain what was going on & what he would be doing. Both sets of doors were done beautifully and the clean up was thorough. I had asked Kevin about an issue with our toilet that could have been causing a water leak in our ceiling, and he came back, drained the bowl, replaced the gasket & metal plate, so our commode would no longer shift. He has done great work for us, and we would not hesitate to use his services again. And again. :)

Description of Work: I found this contractor on Angie's List and even found a coupon on line Angie's list and in the magazine. I called early this week to request an estimate for my master bathroom remodel. Kevin called me back the next day and we scheduled an appointment for him to come on Saturday 3/8 at approximately 3pm or later. He did not show up and did not call to cancel or reschedule. 1/2013We hired Kevin to work on our main floor bathroom back in August 2013. He came to our house and gave us a reasonable quote and reasonable timeline to complete the project. We were expecting our first child at the end of August so our only requirement was that the work needed to be complete before then. He agreed to start working on August 1st and estimated that the project would be completed on August 9th. The day before he was due to start work, he called and said he was still finishing up another job and would start our project on August 5th for five days, then would be away on vacation and would have to return to finish the bathroom on August 19th and 20th. He still guaranteed it would still all be done by month-end (though we were already pushing it). We didn?t have time to search for another contractor so we went along with the change. Kevin also put us in touch GPS (General Plumbing Supply) in Lakewood, NJ and suggested we use her for the fixtures in the bathroom. He also requested that we go to specialty tile stores in the area, as opposed to Lowes or Home Depot, for the basic subway tile we were using in the bathroom. As it turns out, GPS was a disaster: they failed to order the correct drawer fronts for the bathroom vanity; failed to order the soft-close drawers and failed to order the toe-kick for the bottom of the vanity. Each time there was an error, we had to follow up with GPS on our own. We found them very unprofessional. Fortunately, the vanity was the only item we actually got through GPS because we found all of the exact same items online at faucetdirect for over $1,000 less. In terms of the tile, we went out of our way to get the ?special? white subway tile from a tile supplier as opposed to the big box home stores at Kevin?s recommendation because he claimed it would make all the difference in the final product. We spent a significant amount more to do this but thought it would all be worth it in the end. It wasn?t. The tile work is horrible and worse than it was before we started the project. Our house is 60 years old, so we weren?t expecting miracles, but we even paid extra for Kevin to take the walls down to the studs to ensure smooth finish on the walls. What a waste. We also paid to have an alcove added to the tile in the shower. It?s surrounded by sharp edges because he never used the bullnose tiles. It also slopes down toward the back so water pools at the bottom of it and will eventually leak into the wall. Then things got really bad. There was an issue with diverter valve in the shower that wasn?t caught before the wall was covered back up and tiled. We heard water dripping a few days later and discovered water had leaked from the bathroom, to the bathroom below it and into our basement. Kevin came back right away and removed the tile/wall and attempted to fix the leak. We asked him to test it by filling the tub with water a few times and he called us into the bathroom to look at it. Good thing he did because it was still leaking and he hadn?t seen it! We opted to leave the wall open for a few days (1) to dry out and (2) to determine the problem had in fact been corrected. Meanwhile, the bathroom below had to be opened up. The vanity and medicine cabinet all needed to be replaced. Everything was soaked. The walls had to be opened up and aired out for several days to prevent mold from growing. We had to buy a new vanity for the bathroom and Kevin bought a similar medicine cabinet to replace the one that was ruined. The old medicine cabinet was probably 20 years old, so while we had the wall open we opted to put a newer medicine cabinet in instead of something totally outdated. So, here we are paying for redo ANOTHER bathroom, just days before our baby is born. We weren?t compensated for the second vanity or the nicer medicine cabinet (I mean, a credit would have been nice at least), but at this point, we wanted it done and him out of the house. Needless to say, he was still returning to finish the downstairs bathroom a week after we were home with our new baby. My husband finished spackling the walls (Kevin had done most of it) and had to repaint them. So in addition to the bathroom work we paid for, we had to invest another $600 or so to fix the bathroom below! Also, his son worked with him on our project and he clearly doesn?t know what he?s doing. The son was actually the one making all of the tile cuts and not Kevin. He also dumped the grout left over each day in our flower beds. Nice. With all this being said, we can say that Kevin is a nice guy and we do feel like he did his best and wanted to make us happy. Unfortunately, he came up short and we would not use him again, nor recommend him to anyone else.

We began planning this renovation several months ago, and after accepting Kevin's quote, which was very reasonable, the job changed substantially as we continued to change the design and choose countertops and flooring. Kevin was very willing to work with all of our changes. As the job came together, we continued to adjust positions of lights and trim details, and the finished kitchen needed a few small adjustments. All of this chaos didn't faze Kevin. He is gracious and eager to do what works for us. Kevin did very good work, and he is extraordinarily easy to work with. I highly recommend him.

We called Kevin and a few other contractors. Kevin came to the house a day later and assessed the problem with our bathroom. He suggested replacing the tile rather than replacing the commode and the tile as we had asked. He arrived as promised and with an assistant (his son). They both worked quickly and efficiently. After 2 days we had a completed job that was perfect. He and his assistant cleaned up everything and were both friendly. When we saw the amount of remaining tile, we decided to have the tile replaced in a powder room. This was a larger job as both the commode and the vanity had to be removed before the tile could be taken up and replaced . Kevin showed up as scheduled on Tuesday and we told him that it would be difficult to finish the 2 day job the following day. We had tickets to a matinee in NYC and had to be out of the house by Noon. Kevin assured us that this was not a problem. He and his assistant arrived at 7 AM and were done by 10AM. Once again the job was excellent. I have already recommended him to others.
Description of Work: We hired Kevin to replace the tile our Master bathroom. He did such a great job that we hired him again a few weeks later to replace the tile in a powder room.

I designed the master bathroom myself and purchased all the materials. Kevin hired the electrician and the plumber and said he could handle the tile work. This was a fairly upscale bathroom design and most of the costs were in the materials which Kevin assisted in obtaining a discount on by using his account. He decided to use a window of the bathroom to enter and exit which worked out well as people were not going in and out of the house. He took about a week longer than anticipated but he was able to conquer some of the inherent problems which are experienced in a total gut and rebuild of a room. Kevin is a really nice man and very unassuming so when the job was completed I expected him to check over the work that was completed by his tradesmen to be sure all was right. I was wrong we found easy simple things which were not done correctly. The easiest one to find was a toilet which was not level and really off. The plumbing was the biggest tradesman's problem as the fixtures leaked and needed adjustment and the lights were not flush with the wall. But the biggest problem was the tile work which he did himself. There are many areas where the floor tiles are not level with each other and the same on the walls in some places. The worst part, however, is in the shower. The shower is 48"x60" and the drain is slightly to one side but the floor is not level and is not sloped towards the drain which leaves water to one side even after the water is turned off. The corner also is cracked within the grout line. Additionally, I had asked Kevin if he could handle doing siding work and he told me he would do the repairs when he finished the bathroom. I have not seen him since and with Sandy I had enough other problems to handle without chasing him.
Description of Work: Total gut of the master bathroom. Move all fixtures to a new location. Extensive plumbing, electrical and tile work was necessary.

Kevin responded to my e-mail promptly and we agreed on a price and timeframe to paint the room. He showed up as scheduled and started work immediately. Although he ran into some problems with removing the border and paint coverage, he never complained and did what needed to be done. He and his son worked quietly and neatly and got the job done in two days. They put everything back in place and left the room neat and clean. The room looks beautiful and I'm very happy with it. All home projects should go so well.
