The quote was very high and higher than the other quotes that we got. He was very nice and professional. The person that came out was very good, knowledgeable and thorough, but he was much higher. We didn't go with them. He was very responsive and quick. He was able to accommodate my time and come out.

I think I am going to use them. My experience went very well so far. Right now it's the price. I liked the guy himself. His name was Joe, but I can't remember his last name. He seemed very knowledgeable and was very helpful. Their responsiveness was very good. I am pretty sure I am going to go with them. I am impressed so far with them, but I just hope it works out.

The gentleman was very nice. He came to his house on his own time to look at the job more than once. We discussed options together. When they stated the job his guys were very quiet and efficient. They didn't waste time and they were very polite. They got the job done quickly.

I was impressed I actually got the owner on the phone! Joe (the owner) was great. Even though his company didn't provide service for the part of Long Island that I was interested in(and so wouldn't do the job), he was kind enough to listen to me describe my remodel and respond with a general ballpark estimate for the work I was asking about. He seemed quite sincere and patient, answering my naive questions about replacing the subfloor under the bathroom. If I lived in New Jersey, I'd call him again to do a reno. I've just joined Angie's List this weekend, and I'm pleased with my first call!

These guys had to be the best Home Improvement group I have ever dealt with. I submitted a request on Angies List, quickly received a call from Joe Shoback the owner. Joe visited my condo we talked through the job. He explained in detail how they would go about things. A few days later I recieved via email a very detailed and precise estimate for the work. While not the cheapest, in the end the price/value relationship was outstanding. I gave Hudson the job. Throughout the planning process Joe and I communicated as I had questions with prompt responses. All of the materials I chose at Home Depot set up will call and they picked up the items. The day prior I received a call to walk through the work plan and the next morning Joe came early to sit and review exactly what was going to be done. The team showed up which depending on the day was 3 or 4 guys. These had to be the most pleasant "aware" guys I have ever seen. They covered the floors, took great care to be neat. At the end of every day they organized so that the place didn't look like a war zone. They were constantly sweeping, vacuming to keep the workspace and nearby areas clean. I found them even at one point sweeping the living room area which got a little dusty and dusting off my sons picture! If they had a question, I was asked and we talked through things. The demolition was done pretty quickly and there was little to moderate dust(to be expected) but the cleaned the work space out of the trash pretty quickly. I was pretty stunned how clean my unit was after day 1. I always had a working toilet. They set the tile neatly and to perfection the next day, primed and painted the walls. The attention to detail was very good. They had a good eye for things. There was no dripping paint marks/spot anywhere! I checked around often and had no "watch out" "do this not that" comments of any sort. They worked New Years Eve until almost 3pm and the day after New Years to complete the work AHEAD of schedule. Several of the building facility people in my condo complex commented on how professional these folks were. I will be using them again!
Description of Work: I had two bathrooms updated which included demolition of the current bathroom and a re-install of new tile floors, new vanity and sinks, new mirrors, wall cabinets, removal of shower doors, install of new shower rods, towel racks, toilet paper holder, prime and painting of the walls.

I had some water damage in my bathroom from a leak in an upstairs apartment unit which pretty much had destroyed the shower tile and drywall in my bathroom ceiling. Joe came over to look at my bathroom and provide me an estimate to repair. He showed up right on time, which was a good start. After looking over the bathroom, he provided me an estimate of how much it was going to cost and the duration of the project. I had some questions regarding the new look of the bathroom, such as whether he could push up the ceiling in the shower, which he listened to and answered. Long story short, Joe was completely professional, honest, and knowledgeable. After setting a start date, and discussing all of the details, the work was scheduled. Joe and his crew arrived as scheduled on the start date. I left my keys, went to work, and left them alone to get started on the work. I was a little nervous to let strangers into my apartment alone all day, but these guys were completely respectful of my belongings. They didn't even open up the fridge to get cold water (they brought their own). Work proceeded on the bathroom exactly as Joe had outlined in the timeline he provided me. Every day the crew accomplished a new milestone (completed demo of the bathroom, new sheet rock installed, etc) and every day the crew cleaned up after themselves at the end of their day. Like all renovations, there was an unpredictable hiccup. The insulation behind the drywall had been soaked due to the water damage, which they discovered and replaced at no extra charge. Not sure what other contractors would have done, but it was nice that this was a non-issue. The shower tile I chose was 4x4 ceramic tile, a decent quality product. Mixed in with these ceramic tiles, I also wanted some very nice and very expensive glass tile. I had drawn up a design of how I wanted the tile put together in the shower, and the results came out exactly as I had envisioned. The crew even went above and beyond - there was some left over glass tile that I was going to end up throwing out or keep in storage. Joe called me up and suggested including them in a design on the ceiling, something I had not considered. I agreed with him and allowed him to proceed with this plan (he wouldn't have done it without my consent). The shower ended up looking amazing. The rest of the bathroom went just as well. The drywall was replaced, bathroom got a fresh coat of paint, and the bathroom accessories were installed exactly as I had specified. They even installed a recessed bathroom accessory that involved cutting of the wall, something that had not been asked for and included in the contract, with no pushback or extra costs. I got the sense that these guys just wanted to see me satisfied with the end product. I will absolutely be using Joe and his crew again in the future for other renovations.
Description of Work: Complete renovation of my bathroom, focusing on the tile in the shower, fixing and/or replacing the drywall, painting, and finally installing bathroom accessories (medicine cabinet, towel rack, etc)

They came over a few times before the work started to talk through the project and provide costs and a timeline. Within a few weeks they started on the bathroom and finished in just a few days - ahead of schedule. They were very considerate of the fact that it was my only bathroom and did their best to make sure it was functional when I was home. I would definitely use them again.

The tile on the wall was the only thing that was almost completed. As we agreed, he removed all of the bathroom tile, but did not complete a small section. I had a lot of tile left over, and expected him to retile the entire area. Instead Joe charged me an additional $75 to retile this area. He used the kitchen sink to clean up, and there were paint splatters on the sink, kitchen cabinets, and on the sofa in the living room. Our hardwood floors were refinished less than a year ago, and the shine and finish does not look the way it did when we left. I do not believe that they were always covered as agreed upon in our contract. In fact, I had to tell the person working with Joe to put something on the floor for the vanity to rest on. Paint was also on the frame of our new bathroom windows. I have a very small bathroom, and we discussed that I would be away because it would be easier for him to work without me there. Joe told me that the bathroom updates would be a "piece of cake" because it was so small. I was inconvenienced because this is my only bathroom. He came on Sept 1st and did something with the toilet bowl so that we could use it, but it was not firmly placed and was leaking from the bottom. The tub was also reglazed and I was told by the worker that in order to get the best results we should wait 48 hours. Joe wanted to come back the next day, but I wanted to wait for the tub to dry and plus I needed a break. On Sept 3rd, he came with 4 people and I understood that they would be completing the job. He wanted to know what time I would be returning from work, and said that it would be done by 7pm. I got home around 7:30pm, and he was cleaning up. He wanted to come back on Sept 4th to fix some placement problems in the bathroom. I said I had to work late, so that wouldn't work. We decided that he would come back on Sept 7th. He had placed the vanity too close to the tub, so the door was hitting the tub and could take off the glaze. The toilet bowl was slanted forward, the towel racks were loose and not properly aligned, there were bubbles in the paint on the wall, and the shower faucet was loose. He said that he fixed everything. At this point I was pretty aggravated and just wanted him out of my unit. The next day, while using the sink, a major leak came from the pipe underneath the vanity. I had to have him come back on Sept 8th to take care of it. He didn't know what to do and had to call someone to walk him through the repair. I got the feeling that he didn't take this job very seriously. The work was more like a DIY job instead of a professional that knew what he was doing. It was a very stressful situation. The paint was redone, however, I still have bubbles on my wall and the ceiling around the tub is already cracking. The bathroom looks beautiful when you first walk in, but when you look closer, you can tell that he did not take his time and little attention was given to detail. There are 2 small holes in the back of the vanity, and I think that is why he put the vanity so close to the tub, to try and cover up those holes. Instead of doing insets that I asked him to do in the shower, he put in some small shelves. He said he did that because there was not space for insets. This was never communicated to me. His emails never indicated problems. He led me to believe that everything was OK. The contract was very sloppy: he charged me twice for some things and realized it when he was going over it with me. He crossed out several of the prices and left it that way. I asked if he was going to rewrite the contract, and he said no. I asked him to at least initial and sign the changes that were made. I also asked if he had a warranty for his workmanship and he did not give me a good answer. On the basis of the work done for me, I don't know how he managed to get A's on previous reports I read on Angie's List, and I would never use him again. MEMBER REBUTTAL AS OF 11-2-09: Becoming a homeowner is a big investment. And making home improvements to your investment is vital to the comfort for your family as well as future investments. After interviewing several contractors/handymen, my daughter and I chose Joe from Hudson Home Improvement. We believed that Hudson Home Improvement was a company of integrity and that Joe was the right person for the job. We talked at length with Joe about the project, and he appeared to understand our needs. Before the work was done, I showed Joe the items that my daughter and I wanted to purchase, and he agreed that the items were of good quality and approved of the vendor (Lowe?s) we were going to use. In the interest of getting the job completed in a timely fashion, Joe suggested that the items be ordered and delivered to our apartment. Furthermore, he suggested that we be away from our apartment while the work was being done. Because we trusted Joe and everything was agreed upon per the contract, my daughter and I complied. We arranged to be away from our home from Aug 22 through Aug 31. Before leaving, and as agreed upon with Joe, we supplied him with a sketch of where items should be placed in the bathroom, used painter?s tape to mark where items should be placed, provided a disposable camera for pictures of the demolition, and contact information. We left our home believing that we were on the same page as Joe and did not have any reason to believe that the work would not be done correctly. After reading Joe?s response to our report, it is most unfortunate that Joe has tried to assassinate my character, and I refuse to do the same. If Joe felt that I was unhappy and too difficult to work with why did he do this job? Why did he accept my money? And if I was dissatisfied with his work from the beginning, why would I leave him alone in my condo for a week to do the work? I never had problems with any of the service providers and even learned some very helpful tips from the bathroom refinisher who put in a non-slip mat at no additional charge. Furthermore, I had no arguments with anyone at Lowe?s. My home is a big investment and I believe that attention to detail is very important. My daughter and I trusted Joe and did everything to make sure that this job went smoothly. Perhaps Joe provides a ?high-level of service? for other people. But the truth still remains, he did not do his best with my bathroom updates and I will not use him again.
Description of Work: Joe was hired to do a bathroom update. I bought a toilet bowl, 2 medicine cabinets, a mirror, vanity, vanity light fixture, ceiling light fixture, and a new shower. He was supposed to install all of this as well as put in new tile on the walls and floor. He was also going to switch the bathroom light fixture with a fixture in one of the bedrooms. He was going to fix the threshhold and loose tiles on the floor in the kitchen. As well as fix the threshold in the bathroom. He fixed the threshold and regrouted a few tiles in the kitchen; however, the grout he used was brown and did not match the existing white grout on the kitchen floor, and you can see that immediately. We had an agreement that I would not be in the unit from August 22nd-31st, and he would complete the job by September 1st. He sent me 2 emails through out the course of that time telling me that everything was “on schedule”. When I came home on the 31st, I was very upset to discover that the job was no where near completion.

Response from Hudson Home Improvement LLC
The customer seemed unhappy with every service provider and everyone she dealt with during this project. It is therefore unfortunate, but not surprising, that she found fault with us. I do look forward to continuing to deliver the same high level of service, despite some people never being happy. As for the other posts on Angie’s List, the crew, and the pattern, everything was consistent with other work we've done. The contract stated the *expected* completion date of Sep 1. She asked us not to come in on Sep 2, so we completed on Sep 3, including some ADDITIONAL requests not in the contract. About half of our jobs are exactly on schedule, but unforeseeable complications sometimes cause minor delays. I’m always upfront about this. Unfortunately, this was one of those occasions when the work went one day passed what we *expected*. During a conversation on Sep 3, the homeowner was frustrated that I couldn’t estimate down to the minute. There was an additional half-hour of work left since a soap dish (not in the original contract) couldn’t be caulked until the silicone was dry. Most people appreciate when I put in the extra time to do the job correctly. The customer insisted on ordering all the material. Regarding the toilet seat issue, she thanked me for coming so late to give her a workable toilet. I’m not a taxi service, but I offered to take her to Lowes to exchange this item, where she got into a argument with customer service. She requested tiling and molding for an additional wall, neither of which was originally agreed. I mentioned this would cost an additional $75. Please note that during this project we had also: moved a light fixture to the bedroom, installed a light cover in the kitchen, installed an extra medicine cabinet, and painted the door-all at no charge. The contract specifies the start and expected completion date, payment schedule, and work to be done. As I explained to her, the item I crossed out was to “repair tile in the kitchen which was loose.” After investigating, I didn’t think the underlayment would support this, so it would turn out to be a waste of money. It was on the final bill, and I crossed it out on-site. Unfortunately, she had some regrets concerning some of her hardware choices. The towel bar is the kind held loosely by two fixtures. She didn’t like the fact that it moved, so I added some silicone. Similarly, for a mirror with two hooks on the top, I added silicone because she wanted it attached at the bottom. I invite this customer to contact me, if there are any unresolved issues, as small as they may seem. The floors were well protected with heavy cardboard, and then several tarps on top of this, from the entrance way of the unit to the bathroom. The kitchen floor grout is not white as she claims, and I told her that grout would not match perfectly-matching old to new rarely does. Additionally, I had asked her to choose the grout and she said “I’ll leave that up to you.” She claimed that the painted walls had missing spots. I couldn’t see them, and only later learned that she was referring to the shine in the paint. The “bubbles” in the paint turned out to be the shape of the old drywall. Reinstalling drywall would have been a major addition to the project. We added a new coat at no additional charge. I received an email “EMERGENCY leak in the bathroom.” My Blackberry notified me, and I responded within two minutes. This could have been a major issue, so I came back at her earliest available time. The EMERGENCY turned out to be a drip coming from the drain pipe. This was rather difficult to detect, so I called my plumber, and he helped me resolve the issue. I believe in using specialists such as licensed plumbers and electricians for advice and subcontracting. I think the results speak for themselves. When she returned from vacation, I asked my customer what she thought of the work and the cleanup. She mentioned that the bathroom looked “beautiful,” and regarding the cleanup: “he did more than I expected.” I invite her to contact me regarding any paint splatters. These were not discussed, nor were they apparent at the time, but I stand by my work, and am always happy to resolve any outstanding issues. Although she was “inconvenienced” by the project taking one day longer than expected, she did mention that she was very pleased with the way the bathroom turned out, saying it was “beautiful” and a “total transformation.”

After many difficult experiences with contractors over the last decade, I've finally found an honest, fair and dependable contractor. Although it took a few months to get moving on the project (I had no deadline), Joe and his team worked quickly and finished ahead of the project plan. This happened in spite of the fact that I made some adjustments to the job midstream: I realized that I needed to maximize headroom in the shower, and so requested that they drill into the flooring to install the pipes. Joe worked through the costs, risks and benefits to the revised approach, and we decided to proceed with the revision. The finished product belongs in Architectural Digest! The tile work was more complex than we originally figured, but his craftsmen worked patiently with the delicate tile, and transformed a plain closet to a beautiful shower area. I've learned that renovations require cooperation and flexibility from both the consumer and the contractor. No job is ever exactly what it seems when initiated. But Joe and his guys communicated constantly, behaved in a professional manner at all times (one of my kids now wants to be a contractor), and did a top notch job. We'll use his team whenever we have an opportunity.
Description of Work: Joe and his team transformed an unfinished closet into a beautifully tiled shower area. In addition, Joe built a custom closet in another area of the room since we lost our storage space to a shower.

They did it again! The boys at Hudson Home Improvement outperformed again!! My dirty little secret was that I quoted out 2 projects -- one was basic touch-up work, the largest project was laying down new tile in the kitchen, the second (and more expensive) project was a complete demo and rebuild of my bathroom. My thinking was that if I didn't like the workers' attitudes or quality of work that I would find someone else for my bathroom, and I now have found my contractor for life!!! Without a doubt this team is the way to go for your construction needs.

My wife and I are proud to serve as a reference for Hudson Home Improvement and would without a doubt recommend them for all of your handywork needs. We had never contracted work out before and were a bit aprehensive from all of the horror stories you hear of other people?s bad experiences but got lucky and found Hudson Home Improvement on ?the list?, we?re very happy we did. My wife and I had them install: new lighting fixtures and tracks; lay a new kitchen floor; hang new closet doors; and paint some walls, they all came out superb! We appreciate Hudson Home Improvement quality of work, professionalism, ability to solve problems on the fly and attention to detail. They finished their work on-time and, probably most important ? on quote. They will definitely be the only contractors we ever use ? in-fact we?re having them back shortly to redo our entire bathroom.

I found Hudson Home Improvement via Angies List. I had Joe come in and quote on finishing the installation of the full bathroom, as well as several other projects in the house. Joe was very attentive, and asked a lot of questions to be sure that he fully understood the nature and scope of what I envisioned for each project. I told Joe that my husband was extremely capable and had done all work previously accomplished in our home himself, and showed him those areas. I explained that this would be the first time in 19 years that we had EVER had anyone from the outside do ANYTHING in our house. Joe suggested that some of the projects were either considerably more extensive than I imagined and therefore would be very expensive, and also that some of the projects were relatively simple and could be more cost-effectively easily handled by my husband. He made a lot of recommendations for alternatives and varying ways to approach some of the areas. We decided to focus on completion of the bathroom my husband had started installing, and Joe spent a lot of time with both me and my husband, discussing exactly what had been done, how, and what remained to be done in great detail. Again, Joe continually asked pointed questions to be sure he understanding of our vision was correct and complete. Joe expressed concern about our reaction to having outsiders in the house doing work, mentioning that it can be an emotional experience, and reiterated this in an effort to be sure that our first project would not be a negative one since we had no basis of comparison. We discussed a rough schedule, and shortly thereafter, Joe, his partner George, and their crew arrived to begin. We gave them a key to our house, although their preference tended to be toward having us there when they worked. The guys were great about working with us as the schedule progressed to work around their availability as well as our needs to occasionally have a clean house while the project was on-going. They let my husband observe and participate in planning and in-process decisions and we saved money by buying all the materials ourselves. Joe and George were constantly checking with us to be sure we were satisfied with how things were going. The project was complete slightly ahead of schedule, and the bathroom looks great. As I said, this was our first experience with an outside contractor so I have no basis of comparison, but we were pleased.

The job was to finish off existing work in the bathroom. The customer mentioned they never had an 'outsider' perform work in their home but that they had lived there for over 10 years. We would be the first. This is sometimes a challenge managing expectations of a customer that hasn't had work done before and doesn't really know what to expect. I mentioned it could be a bit of an emotional experience having people working in your home for a few weeks-luckily they were flexible, understanding and overall cool throughout the project. This customer and her husband were a real pleasure to deal with. There were a few issues (there always are) which we dealt with. The finished product looks absolutely amazing, really. The finishes (tile, paint, etc) really made the place turn out unbelievable-the customer chose well. Add an architectural element - a fireplace with crown molding we installed and I think the craftsmanship really showed through. There were a few 'gaps' in the project which were communicated - such as waiting for the spackle to dry or scheduling the plumber to hook up the fixtures, etc. Overall, the project was pulled together: on-time (per the project plan), on-budget and within expectation. Really a pleasure dealing with this customer. They have been great, doing whatever they could to support my business and of course with their positive attitude it enables me and my crew to do a better job in return for them-my philos is you get what you give and for everyone it turned out a real win-win. Thx again for the business and the referrals and look forward to doing your kitchen remodel when you are ready. Joe Shoback

Overall I was very happy with the work. The contractor did a good job of communicating progress, identifying problems and resolving them and coordinating the various steps of the job.
Description of Work: Entire bathroom remodeling (new tile, sheetrock, fixtures, tub reglazing and painting) plus misc apartment improvements including kitchen tiling and painting.

We promptly received a phone call once we sent an inquiry. From estimate to actual scheduled date was about 1.5 weeks. Joe was able to come on a Saturday, which was perfect for us -- we didn't have to take off from work in order to have the job completed. The bedroom doors were an easy fix. There were some problems with the main door (not Joe's fault, the condo conversion utilized existing and antique furnishings, so this was more difficult than it initially appeared), but it is hung correctly (door opens and closes without any issues). Joe felt bad about "over promising" and offered to reduce his fee, but we did not think that was necessary. We appreciated his transparency throughout the process and his candid observations -- in the end, everything was fixed, and we are all happy!
Description of Work: We recently moved into a renovated condo building. three of our doors (main front and 2 bedroom doors) were hung incorrectly. we needed a professional to come in and fix the doors so that they could close properly.

Joe was great. He responded quickly to emails and phone calls and finished the job in the time he estimated. We were very happy with the whole experience again, and will definitely use Joe again for future projects.
Description of Work: Joe helped us out with a few projects: 1. Repaired and painted damaged drywall in a bathroom 2. Repaired and painted loose moldings along the floor 3. Built out shelves in an under utilized laundry closet

Initial demolition began about a week after signing the contract, and the entire project was completed about five weeks later. Hudson Home Improvement excels at customer satisfaction. They maintained outstanding communication throughout the project and were meticulously attentive to our many specialized needs and requests. The workers are competent and focused; they clearly enjoy what they do and take pride in the quality of their work. All of our questions and concerns were addressed promptly and respectfully. HHI guarantees the quality of their work; they were happy, for instance, to return after completion of the project to touch up some spackle and caulk. We very strongly recommend them and would hire them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: Full update for kitchen and bathroom. In the bath: installed wall and floor tile, replaced toilet, vanity, sink and fixtures. In the kitchen: cut down a non load-bearing wall, installed floor tile, back plash tile, cabinets, refrigerator ice maker line, range hood, ceiling lights, sink, and disposer.

The overall experience was great. The estimates were favorable and on the mark. I was told the work would take 2 days max to complete. On day one, about 95% of the work was completed without a glitch and the next day the job was finished. The work and interaction was very professional. The emails, phone calls were timely. No hidden surprises. Everything was done as planned. Definitely will use their services again.
Description of Work: I had recess lighting installed in my living room space.

THE JOB WAS TO INSTALL RECESSED LIGHTING IN HER LIVING ROOM SPACE, APPROXIMATELY 12' X 25'. WE PERFORM BEST WHEN: 1. A CUSTOMER HAS HAD A POOR EXPERIENCE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY 2. A CUSTOMER ASKS US FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND ACCEPTS THE RECOMMENDATION THIS CUSTOMER FELL INTO BOTH CATEGORIES. WE PROVIDED A CUSTOM SOLUTION FOR THE LIGHTING, INSTALLING ELECTRONIC DIMMERS AND LIGHTING DESIGN. THE CUSTOMER TOOK ALL OF OUR RECOMMENDATIONS. THE FINISHED PRODUCT LOOKS TERRIFIC. ADDITIONALLY, THE CUSTOMER WAS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH. SHE TRULY BOUGHT-IN TO THE CONCEPT THAT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CONTRACTOR AND CUSTOMER IS A TWO-WAY STREET. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE POSITIVE REVIEW AND FOR THE BUSINESS. WE LOOK FORWARD TO DEALING WITH YOU AGAIN IN THE FUTURE! JOE SHOBACK

I'm very satisfied doing business with Joe. There is clear communication and quality work. I plan to hire them again for Handyman and other projects on the house in the near future.
Description of Work: Had Joe and team do some more work on my property. I have a flat "commercial" style roof - the guys cleared out all the gutters, cleaned debris off the roof, and applied the silvercoat waterproofing sealant to the entire roof. They repaired a toilet - the water supply line was leaking and the hardware in the chamber needed to be replaced. They repaired a broken "sensor" light at the property entrance (motion-activated), and went to Home Depot to get the proper replacement light bulbs as well. Tried their cleaning service, they did a great job - cleaned my whole apartment, and the common areas of the property (3 story stairwell, hallway, entrance).

THIS JOB CONSISTED OF A SERIES OF HANDYMAN PROJECTS THE HOMEOWNER HAD BUNDLED TOGETHER IN A WISE ATTEMPT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF US BEING THERE ALREADY WITH THE EFFECT BEING COST-SAVINGS. THE WORK WENT SMOOTH. NO SURPRISES FROM THE CUSTOMER OR THE WORK. WE HAVE DONE WORK FOR THIS CUSTOMER PREVIOUSLY. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE POSITIVE REVIEW AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO DOING ADDITIONAL BUSINESS WITH YOU IN THE FUTURE.

All was smooth and easy until the very end, when we needed a new dryer part to re-connect to a relocated gas line. This work wasn't even in the contract, but Joe treated it as an irresistible challenge, finally locating the right part at a refrigeration supply company on a Saturday morning. He heroically disassembled and re-assembled the dryer, too, saving me the considerable time and money I would have had to spend on an appliance-repair service.
Description of Work: Joe and company rebuilt half my laundry room, providing a new wall (with drywall installation), building a chase around the dryer vent, replacing flooring, and installing a floor drain.

HER POSTING IS ACCURATE. EVERYTHING WAS SMOOTH UNTIL THE GAS-DRYER. THE PIPE INSIDE THE DRYER WAS BROKEN. SO, I TRIED TO PUT A COUPLING ON IT BUT THE THREADS WERE SHOT. SO I CALLED SOME OF MY CONTACTS AND FOUND A REFRIGERATION SUPPLY COMPANY NEAR HER HOUSE IN WEEHAWKEN. THEY WALKED ME THROUGH TAKING THE DRYER APART SO THAT I COULD GET TO THE INTERNAL PIPE. I REMOVED THE PIPE AND TOOK IT TO THE REFRIGERATION SUPPLY WHERE THEY RE-THREADED AND PUT A NIPPLE ON IT FOR $20. SO, IT IS TRUE THAT YOU ONLY GET WHAT YOU GIVE: I GOT AN ADDITIONAL CONTACT ON THE REFRIGERATION SUPPLY SIDE, I LEARNED HOW TO TAKE APART A DRYER AND I THINK I HAVE EARNED A VALUED CUSTOMER!
