Between the two of us my husband and I have owned 9 homes from brand new construction to built in 1890. We have done every kind of remodeling possible to every room, bathroom, basement, and kitchen including building up and out. In the last 20 years there are only a handful of contractors that really positively stand out. By far, Kevin (S&R Pools), his staff and network of contractors are top notch and some of the best professionals weve worked with. To start I interviewed several pool builders to understand differences and options. Kevin blew his competition away. He can intellegently and knowledgeably answer ANYTHING you ask him about ANY aspect of building a pool. He helped us understand the best options that would work for us based on our yard and limitations. He gave me great ideas and would honestly tell you what doesn't work, which is very important so that you have the right expectation. Once we chose S&R (no brainer), Kevin worked with us extensively to create the perfect backyard paradise for us and then layed it all out in writing on a schedule with dates and pricing. S&R handled every permit and all paperwork necessary, and did it correctly. Once they began is really when they started to blow me away with thier service. It really takes a small village to complete an undertaking like an inground pool. Kevin, his team and all the contractors used in the process (excavater, concrete etc.) were an amazing well oiled machine. Thier communication with each other was incredible. They all know each other from working together time and time again. Over and over I would hear the same thing...what a great guy Kevin is and how great he is to work with. And they are right. Through the process Kevin would make suggestions always in my best interest, and again tell me when something wasn't going to work. With any project you change your mind or want to add things. He was AWESOME with doing that (as long as you communicate in advance-dont be unrealistic). And anytime I had a question or issue he would ALWAYS call me back right away or e-mail me. He is one of the best communicators I've worked with. Even when there were the typical minor issue that needed to be addressed, everyone communicated quickly and anything was resolved immediately. It's not about issues that arise, it's about how you handle them. Most important, anyone Kevin works with responded with the same professionalism and urgency. He will tell you that anyone he works with must meet his expectations-and he's not kidding. Our pool finished on time and within budget. I had a vision, and In the end I have the most beautiful backyard paradise I could imagine. It surpassed my husband's wildest expectations. I could go on and on with the individual stories of how wonderful Kevin and his staff were to work with. It is truly one of the best experiences in contracting I have ever had. I contacted S&R via email for a consultation on a safety cover for our pool. Kevin promptly responeded to my inquiry and set an appointment to measure our pool for the cover in order to provide a quote. During the appointment, Kevin explained the options for covers and provided a recomendation as to what he thought was the best choice. The day following our appointment, we received a written quote for the cover and closing services that we requested. After making our selection for the cover, S&R ordered the cover upon receipt of our deposit. Once the cover was in, we were able to quickly schedule time for the install and closing of our pool. The quality of work for both the cover and the closing was top notch and the pricing was as expected. The communication we received from Kevin throughout the process was excellent and we were pleased with the service overall.

I SENT HIM PICTURES OF MY POOL PUMP. THE SERVICE HANDLE HAD BROKEN OFF.HE EMAILED ME BACK SAYING THAT THE SERVICE CALL WOULD COST 135 DOLLARS. THE PART ITSELF WAS ONLY 90 DOLLARS!!!!! WHY WOULD I PAY SOMEONE TO COME OUT AND INSTALL A 90 DOLLAR PART,THAT WOULD TAKE ALL OF 3O MINS TO INSTALL FOR 135 DOLLARS?! WENT ELSEWHERE AND GOT IT DONE FOR FAR LESS!

They were very good. There wasn’t really anything I disliked. They did what they said they would do. They worked with me with respect to timings of the visit and getting the work done. They were very responsive to emails so that was nice. The price was good.

I would say S and R Pool and Spa was professional and thorough...even to the point of being meticulous. We had two different teams of workers here each having a unique part in the process. Both teams were more than nice. I was told the cost and that was the price I paid...I appreciate the lack of chicanery. In two days the old liner was gone, the new liner replaced, and the pool ready to enjoy. The final product is beautiful, without ripples, properly fit, and aesthetically appealing.

I was quite happy with the install. Kevin and his team arrived when they said they would, they installed the system and then showed me how to use it - it is much easier then the old way with the chlorine tablets. When I contaced S&R polls I talked to Linda and said that I would be intrested in converting my pool to salt Generation. She had Kevin get back to me and in two days I had a estimate. After looking at a few others I went with S&R pools, I had used them to open and close my pool and I knew of their quality work. There were no problems with any of the installation and the pool is so much cleaner and nicer to be in then before.

S&R Pools built a custom architectural concrete in-ground pool with built-in hot soaking tub and automatic cover.Their professional approach, fair pricing and thinking along with us made for a great experience. Design considerations made us decide for a concrete pool. Sub-contractors for excavation, rebar, concrete (gunite), tiling and masonry were all similarly professional, and S&R was always present during the extensive work this project required. S&R's extensive experience was very reassuring.

We have used S&R the past three years for pool openings, closings and occasional repairs. Prices are reasonable and their work is very good. They also show up on time and don't leave a mess. We're very happyt with their service.

First appointment was cancelled by the company 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Was told they would come later in the day and would call back with a time, but never received a call. When I called the company later in the day, they denied ever saying that they would come out the same day and tried to reschedule more than one week later. When I insisted on an earlier visit, they agreed to come out at 7am on a Saturday, and for this visit they actually showed up on time. However, in the end their price was the highest bid we received for liner replacement, with several "options" for additional costs offered that were routinely included by other vendors. Additionally, some recommendations regarding repair of concrete decking around the pool were not recommended by other vendors due to potential damage to the inground pool fiberglass walls.
