The work was completed promptly and to schedule. We were very satisfied.

My husband and I have a terrific media room in our basement with one major flaw: there was a huge hole in one of the walls, where the previous owners had installed a theater unit. Seeing as home media-centers are a bit outdated and we are planning to install a flat-screen TV instead, we wanted the gaping hole repaired. Robert of BND Distinctive Improvements did a fantastic job patching up the large hole where the media system had been, as well as repairing several holes around the room where surround-speakers had previously been installed. Robert truly does quality work. He was punctual, arriving at 8am and working throughout the day. He was kind enough to put several vertical wood planks in the wall, so that if we ever decide to hang a flat-screen TV, we have the option of a sturdy place for it to hang. When Robert patched up the holes, he sanded everything down so that we just need to prime and paint where he completed the work. Robert was also meticulous in his clean-up, being sure to vacuum up as much dust as possible and removing all debris from his repairs. Robert was a pleasure to work with: he has enthusiasm for his craft and was careful to explain what he was doing, step-by-step. It is obvious that Robert is well-regarded by his customers, as he has been so busy that it took about a month for Robert to be able to squeeze in a relatively smaller job such as what we required. However, it was well worth the wait to have quality work done by such a kind and hardworking individual. We plan to use BND Distinctive Improvements again in the future!

The representative never showed up for the quote. Two days later I still have yet to hear anything, not even a phone call with an excuse. I will not work with a contractor that is unreliable from the get-go.

He said he took great pride in his responsiveness yet I never received a quote from him.

Robert was a very responsive contractor who provided top quality work for us. He is an extremely hardworker with an outstanding friendly personality. Robert did all of the work himself and was very conscious of the quality as well as cleanliness during the job. Robert was prompt to arrive every morning before 8 a.m. and stayed most nights until after 6 pm. He also worked on our project from start to finish with no interruptions and finished all of our work in just under 2 weeks. I would highly recommend Robert's services to anyone who is looking for a reliable contractor to come in and do really great work. For the quality, amount of time and attention and the amount of work we had done, Robert's fee was very competitive and reasonable. We will certainly use him again in the future.

ONCE AGAIN ROBERT SAVED ME ,HE IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. I JUST GIVE HIM THE KEY AND HE DOES EVERYTHING 110% THE BEST THEIR IS, HE CAN DO ANYTHING AND IT WILL LOOK BETTER THAN NEW.

He did an excellent job cleaning the gutters, he even cleaned the roof off. He also put up my Christmas lights and did a wonderful job. He is an extremely hard work and will do anything you need done. He is reasonable, personable and professional.

He did a beautiful job. He works by himself mostly. He was very calm and efficient. He was not bragging about what he did but he did very good work. He left the extra paint in case I needed to touch up something. He was very clean and neat. You didn't know he was doing a big job, he just cleaned up very nicely. I have only good things to say about him. I thought it was a fair price. He was busy and didn't come for 2 weeks but I was quite satisfied. His work was professional.

Robert is a total gem. From the first discussion of the project to its completion, he worked as if he were one of the family, After the signed agreement, he managed unexpected aspects of the project with ease and comfortable grace. Cost tweaks were more than reasonable. He also "corrected" some details surrounding his project without charging us. These corrections made a quality improvement to our environment without cost.Robert is our GoTo Guy. We only hope he does not retire!

FANTASTIC!! I felt that there was nothing the principal (Bob) couldn't do. He has a great attitude, is a type A worker, and everything he touched looked great. I dont even want to share him because I could keep him full time here. Punctual; great about keeping to schedule and keeping in touch.

ROBERT WAS ON TIME VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID MUCH MORE THAN PROMISED. WORKED AS IF IT WAS HIS HOUSE. I WAS SO THOROUGHLY SATISFIED WITH THE JOB THAT I NOT ONLY PAID HIM WHAT HE WANTED I INVITED HIM AND HIS WIFE TO COME AND SPEND A LONG WEEKEND AT MY WINTER RESIDENCE IN NAPLES, FLORIDA, WHICH WAS AT MY EXPENSE. HE DID COME AND OF COURSE ROBERT FOUND A LITTLE LEAK IN ONE OF MY BATHROOMS AND COULD NOT LEAVE IT ALONE, HE HAD TO FIX IT. HE IS BY FAR THE BEST THEIR IS A TOTAL CRAFTSMAN AND I WOULD NOT EVER USE ANYBODY ELSE THEN HIM IN THE FUTURE.

On both days he was prompt in the morning and his workmanship was excellent. He works quietly and diligently and cleans up any mess thoroughly. I am very pleased with his work and would highly recommend him.

He is a one man operation but he is reliable. He showed up everyday to work. It took 3 weeks for him to do the job.

Robert is not just a ?handyman?? he is a craftsman. I called Robert to work on a few items as part of a move into a new home. My husband and I walked him through the house pointing out some shelves to be hung, some insulation replacement in the attic, etc. Robert not only was enthusiastic about those jobs, but also made some great suggestions about constructing a small door for better and easier access to attic storage, building a panel to cover a large hole that had been cut out of a wall, etc. After his first visit, we had new carpet installed and realized after-the-fact that many of the doors would no longer close due to the thickness of the carpet and padding. Robert treated this as an emergency and made himself available to shave the door bottoms so they would close. He also purchased (on our behalf), transported and constructed large garage storage units, and designed and built custom shelves for our buffet. He is coming back again to tile a backsplash in our kitchen. Robert is responsive, quick, neat and goes above and beyond. He is a perfectionist which is very hard to find. You would be crazy not to call him for any home repair needs! He brings everything he needs to get the job done!

I had used BND in the past and was very pleased. I contacted them again for an estimate to remodel my basement. Repeated calls were made to arrange for an estimate and over the course of a couple of weeks, two visits occurred, the second with an electrician. After close to an hour for each visit, I was told an estimate would be forthcoming and I never heard from Robert, the owner, again. He has indicated he takes pride in being responsive but he seems to have taken on far too much work to meet that commitment.

His estimate was very reasonable. He arrived on time and finished the work expeditiously. He attended to small details and actually improved on the usability of the doors he was replacing. He cleaned up after himself so well one would not have known he had been there. Robert is completely professional. We intend to use him for whatever we need in the future.

The job was done just as we had planned. Although Robert ran into a few unexpected issues, he handled them very well and did not leave the job until everything was completed to our satisfaction.

Robert is fantastic! Since I first me with him about a year ago to work on some house projects, I knew he was one-of-a-kind. His ability to fix anything, attention to detail, and sheer craftsmanship make him the absolute tops in our book. What I really love is that no task is too small, and no task is too large. I keep having him back in to do more and more and the projects are getting large in scope. He's completely reliable, trustworthy, and an absolutely perfectionist - he wants your home to look immaculate.

I contacted Robert (BND) after reading an excellent review on Angies list. Robert responded immediately, and came out on schedule to review the work. Despite the fact that he was very busy with additional jobs, he made a point to move my job up the list, as he was concerned that additional damage might result in my losing electricity. A lengthy rainy period followed (at least a week), and Robert touched base with me several times during the week, letting me know that as soon as we hit a sunny day he'd be out. The first day we had good weather Robert called again, and scheduled the repairs for two days later. Robert just left about 15 minutes ago, having completed the original work with excellent results (see above), as well as doing two small additional jobs - hanging a spice cabinet in the kitchen and putting up a bat box on the tree by the drive - neither of which I'd mentioned before he came out, and neither of which he charged me for. "It took what, two minutes?" he said. Needless to say, I was thrilled. And throughout both the contact period, during the work, and during wrap-up, Robert was pleasant, friendly, understanding and good-natured.
