Jimmy's Garage Door Service

He was very, very nice, very professional. He came over once and quoted me a price and stayed within his quote. He was very neat and quick. He was a real gentleman. I would recommend him.

A++ Jimmie replaced two old electric garage door openers with new ones that I had bought from Sears. I had intended to install them myself, but realized that I didn't have the knowledge or the tools for the job. I called Jimmie, he visited, and pointed out that the machines I bought were for a different door size, and needed other rails. He bought one, found another (which he did not charge me for), and installed the openers in excellent time. Jimmie is the kind of person you would wish to find for any kind of work. Utterly honest, generous, careful, he did more than the work he had contracted to do. He pointed out a crack in one of the garage doors, and fixed it for free. He inspected the door springs and was enthusiastic that they were in fine shape and didn't need replacing. He described how to maintain the doors and openers. He encouraged me (and my son) to watch his work after I expressed interest in learning the tricks. He noticed that the doorway entrance (to the detached garage) didn't have control switches for the garage doors, and he put them in --for free. He found a keypad switch, and installed it (yep, for free again). The quality of his work was outstanding. The wiring layout was neat, the doors have never been quieter--they used to clank as they open, but now they purr. He programmed the keypad, etc., and EVERYTHING works perfectly--the electric eyes, the remotes, all of it. When I was in school, a friend of mine (Joe) and I started a company to do odd-jobs. He had the skills and knowledge, I helped as I could. The company was called "Yomat Brothers" for , "Yo, Matt! Hand me the hammer." He explained to me that we worked for people, not for money. I'd never heard anything like it, though he was crazy. I was working for money! But eventually, I understood what he was trying to tell me. People are the goal--all of us. Jimmy is an absolute professional who does outstanding, meticulous work. He pays tremendous attentin to detail. He is pleaseant and courteous. He did the work on exactly the day he said he would and the job cost exactly what he said it would.

Very, very unhappy. Called the previous week to set up appointment. Spoke with a gentleman - we discussed the garage door opener I needed, model number, size, etc., and he quoted me a price. Told me he couldn't make the actual appointment because he didn't have the calendar in front of him; he would have the office person contact me the next day. Next day: no phone call - I had to call them. Set up the appointment for 5/6 and I related everything I was told the day before. A few minutes after phone call ended, she called me back to tell me that the price would be higher than I was quoted. Okay, people make mistakes. On 5/6 expected installer to arrive between 9:30-10:30am. At 11:05am I called the company and left a message on a machine wondering when to expect installer. At 12:45pm, I called and left another message on machine. I then went outside to do yard work. While outside, apparently the office person called me back and left a message on my machine. She said the installer's truck broke down and she was sorry. I find it hard to believe that the installer didn't have my name, address and phone number on his/her service list for the day, and he/she couldn't call me immediately if the truck broke down. I suspect that I never actually made it to their service list and they were only just realizing the error. I'm very disappointed. I took a vacation day from work to have this opener installed. After recent cardiac surgery, I can no longer raise or lower the garage door manually, and I really needed this work done. But now I will find another provider. I will not use their services, nor will I recommend them to others.

It was quite inexpensive. The service was wonderful. They are the best and we would recommend them highly. They came the same morning that we called. He finished a job and came quicker than he thought. He was polite. It was an all around great experience. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

We found Jimmy's on Angie's list and contacted them. They were able to come to the house the next morning and complete the repair and maintenance of the garage door and opener quickly and professionally. We inquired about needing to replace the opener entirely which Jimmy said would be unnecessary. My only qualm was that the receipt didn't break down cost of materials and labor.

Excellent service from start to finish. I would not hesitate to call again if we have any trouble. Again, excellent. And, reminded each time I find quality service that I'm happy to pay for Angie's list.

I have used 3 different garage door services in the past 5 years and Jimmy's services were superior than the other two by miles. I would rank their service A+ on all fronts and would recommend them anyday.

I originally paid $89.00 b/c of a special that Angie's List was advertising on behalf of Jimmy's Garage Door. The special was for a "tune up". My opener was NOT working at the time, I needed more than a tune up. Jimmy diagnosed the problem when he arrived and then changed out the broken gear with a new one he had on hand. His charge for replacing the gear was a separate & add'l $135.00. He did "tune up" the unit, springs and garage door after installing the new gear. He was very professional.

Jimmy was punctual, professional and genial throughout the project. We couldn't be more pleased with his service and the finished product. We strongly recommend Jimmy to those who need garage door service!

It was excellent. They were very professional and they cleaned up everything. They were diligent and meticulous. I was very happy. Jimmy was terrific and was a pleasure to deal with. He came when he said he was going to be here. They did a truly lovely job. It turned out that he only lives a few blocks from us and I wanted to keep the business in town. I did check out some other companies but decided to go with Jimmy because I felt comfortable and wanted to keep the business local. He is professional and dependable.

Jimmy's the BEST - professional, skilled and extremely consciencious. He went above and beyond the call. There were issues with the manufacturer that delayed the door delivery. Jimmy's wife (office manager) kept me informed. They were genuinely concerned and apologetic about the delay. Jimmy came back out and helped craft a makeshift covering for the garage until the door arrived. When he finally was able to deliver and install the door, he fixed and attached the old automatic door opener and threw in an extra remote. I couldn't recommend him more.

The work was first rate. Jimmy was great and he did as promised. The price came in as quoted. It was quality service and good value. He was responsive. We would use him again.

I was desperate - my door was crooked and wouldn't close or open. The cable was messed up and as much as I tried to fix it it only got worse. I called Jimmy's and he promptly came out, gave me an accurate estimate, and fixed my door completely. He had to call his wife to say he would be late for Valentine's Day dinner. Over 1 1/2 years later my door is still working perfectly.

Removed two old garage doors, pulleys & tracks and replaced them. Took away all the old debris and swept up the garage after he finished the work. He then caulked all around the new doors and washed them down. He was courteous and professional. One of the best I've worked with. Mr. Patrick is a real craftsman, something rare these days. Would recommend him to everyone.

Great. He was very professional. I wish i worked with more people like Jimmy.Life would be much easier and a better world.He does bussinesss the way it should be done honest and professional.

Came the day after I called. When I discovered another problem, he came back the next day to do an additional repair. He explained everything that was being done and was friendly and responsive to my questions and concerns.

Jimmy completed the repair in less than 24 hours from the time we first contacted him (and two days before the Thanksgiving holiday.) He was very knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and punctual. His price was quite reasonable. The garage door was fixed perfectly. The good reviews he receives on Angie's List are well-deserved. Highly recommend this gentleman!!

He came out the same day I called him. He was very conscientious. He also worked until the door was fixed. He is a nice person in general. I felt that the price charged by the company was good. I would definitely recommend them. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Smooth as silk from beginning to end. One of the garage door glass panes arrived broken. It was instantly replaced without delaying the overall installation of the door. For Jimmy, the owner, it is not just another job, it is a matter of pride. He takes great pains to ensure the perfect look. If the job looks good the house looks good. It is not his house but he treats it as though it were. WOULD NOT HESITATE TO USE AGAIN AND TO RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE I KNOW!!!

I spent $130 on that work. They job went very well overall. He came out promptly, did the job and it was fine.

Jimmy contacted several suppliers until he found one nearby that was able to provide only the one panel needed for the repair job. Jimmy obtained the section from his supplier, we set up a date, and he installed and service the who system for only $176.00, labor and parts included, which I felt was very reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone.

He arrived on time, fixed the springs & cables, lubricated the door, and charged a reasonable fee. He spent some time to advise me on continued maintenance. He did not put a sales job on me to spend additional money on other items (like opener, etc)

Jimmy was extremely professional and my garage door is working as it should. There was a small mix up between me and the scheduler as to the exact appointment time. They were so sorry about that that Jimmy came bearing a gift plant to apologize - what service!

Very fast service. Respectful and professional. He did put on things I did not anticipate....and extra handle and key lock that I do not really like the look of but he did his best to make it match the door.
