I was happy with the service. The only thing I would say is the price was a little on the high side. They were on time, everything was great, and they did a job. The man that did the work was very professional and did the work quickly and quietly.

During our loss of electricity due to Super Storm Sandy, we had to open/close our garage door manually. When we switched back to automated operation, the door did not work properly. It stuttered, it stalled, it made some really scary noises as it went up and down. As the door mechanism was installed over 10 years ago, we wanted someone who knew what they were doing. Jimmy was a great choice. We were happy to find out that he provided service on Saturdays. His support staff were very freindly and professional. In fact, during the week leading up to our appointment, they called to let us know that Jimmy would be in our area that day, and would we want to move the appointment up. Jimmy showed up on time with a truck loaded with everything he needed to do the job. He spent about 90 minutes in total. He replaced most of the hardware, wheels, springs, etc. Itinitally he though he could save the spings, but then realized the springs were effectively not supporting the load. He then adjusted the motorized mechansim which he said was necessary whenever the springs are modified. The door works great now. The noise that we had become accustomed to over the years is now gone. It glides! Highly Reccomend Jimmy's Service for garage doors (something you should defer to an expert, and Jimmy's Service was truly expert and professional).

Garage door was broken. Jimmy fixed it in no time at all and charged a most reasonable rate. Was also informative and very fair.

Jimmy asked that we contact him when the framing was done to remeasure and schedule. Ironically, the remeasuring was scheduled 2 days after Hurricane Sandy. Jimmy offered to come out with power outages and long gas lines...he somehow made it to our house. Unbelievable commitment and service! The doors were installed yesterday and look beautiful. He clean up everything (leaving the garage better than he found it). He even pointed out a damage electrical outlet and recommended fixing. Jimmy went above and beyond and I would highly recommend his company. His wife Sharon works in the office and is equally delightful and responsive. I only wish he did other work---we would use him again! Great job.

After the storm, he drove to my home and asked if everything was ok and put the power back to the door. He did not charge me for either service.

Overal it was a very positive experience. The owner Jimmy was excellent.

Jimmy came the next day after I called, replaced the motor, oiled the moving parts and in a couple of hours my garage door was working perfectly. He provided excellent personal service, explained everything and answered all follow all up questions. His phone receptionist is his wife and she was most helpful and friendly in setting up the service call. I highly recommend Jimmy's Garage Door services and would unequivocally use him again.

He showed up, I asked for a estimate on a new door, he said he could fix it and I did not need a new door, he refused money but I forced $50.00 on him.

Jimmy was great. He's extremely courteous and professional. He did the work we needed well and in a timely manner. His price was reasonable. He gave us some advice for the future but didn't try to sell any extra/uneeded services. We will definitely use him again in the future.

They are very pleasant and punctual. They showed up on time and finished when they said they would. The garage doors are now quiet. They also installed a feature that will lock the garage doors and they will not open even with a key or the code. It is extra security feature.

Jimmy was great, and he didn't try to hard sell me a new garage door or remote opener, both of which I could use. He tended to the job at hand.

Early on a Saturday afternoon, upon driving back home, we saw that the garage door stopped opening after rising a foot or so. Then it wouldn't move. The door never had a manual operation facility, so the car was stuck out in the driveway. Being pleased with previous garage door work done on that door by Jimmy's, we left an urgent message on their answering machine. We got a callback in less than 2 hours and the technician was on site in another hour, bringing along a new opener motor and assembly accessories. The replacement of the (very old) broken motor took several hours, as a number of obstacles had to be overcome: the old mounting assembly would not accommodate the new motor, the in-place slide rails were too close to the wall, the old chain-and-hook was bolted to the door, provisions had to be made for manual door operation and for automatic motor stop upon sensing impediments to closing, etc. This unplanned/unscheduled work, done late on a Saturday afternoon, was done promptly, cheerfully and skillfully. spring snapped at 5pm, i left voicemails for a few garage door companies off angie's list. jimmy's called back within 15 mins and i scheduled it for the 9-10am the following mrng. Jimmy was there at 9:30 and was great! i would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

I would recommend this company for garage door work. They promptly quoted the job and did the work a short time later. Eveything went well and the result was beatuiful. I'm not sure why they did not fully honor the Angie's list discount coupon but I still thought the price quoted was reasonable. Great job, on time, reasonable price!

I was very impressed with the quick response to my phone call and the prompt arrival of the mechanic. I was relieved to learn the damage was not as extensive as I had feared. The mechanic explained what I needed and he replaced only what was necessary--two springs and he installed a safety cable to prevent serious problem should a spring break sometime in the future. His suggestion regarding the cable made sense to me and the cost was minimal. The charge for the repair and installations was reasonable. The garage door hasn't opened or closed this smoothly in a lot of years! I am a very satisfied customer and would recommend this company to anyone with a garage door problem.
