Jimmy's Garage Door Service

I called the office and spoke with Sharon who was professional and polite. She was able to schedule the visit in only a few days time. On the day of the appointment, I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from Sharon saying Jimmy finished his other visits and could come earlier so I was happy to agree. Jimmy arrived early and introduced himself. He had a positive, professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor. He immediately identified the problem, corrected it, and did various other things that were in line with a garage door "tune-up". Needless to say, Jimmy is A+ and I would recommend him to anyone and I would definitely use his company's services when I upgrade my old garage door opener.

Called on 7/22/2013 made a apointment for a service man to come out and give me a estimate to repair my garage door opener the call was fine the lady on the phone took all the information and told me somebody would come today 7/25/2013 at around 1...My wife took the day off from work and waited for some body to show up by 3 oclock she called the office and was told nobody is coming and that there was no apoinment in the book..

When I called to make the appointment the woman on the phone was helpful.Jimmy called me back in a timely fashion. Showed up when he was supposed to. More than anything else though.. I was impressed with his willingness to negotiate the work. The deal was for $100.00 to inspect the rollers and service them .The door had not been opening and closing well for many years. Upon inspection , JImmy found that the rollers just needed some lubrication..but to make the door function..I needed 4 new pulleys..He oiled and lubricated the door and the rollers and replaced 4 pulleys, also replaced the bottom rubber,that was ripped and not sealing the bottom of the door at all.AND..got the lock to work after 20 years. All this work and it only cost $3.00 dollars more that the original deal. $103.00. Well worth the cost. The door opens so well now I can do it with ONE finger, whereas before I had to exert some effort to pull the door up and down. Thanks JImmy..too bad you don't paint..I need to paint the door now. It functions like a new door..it should look new too.

Working with Jimmy's Garage Door Service was a pleasure. Jimmy came out and examined our old, detached, two car garage with a door that we couldn't close because it would always get stuck. Jimmy recommended a CHI steel door with windows to match our house (good advice as I was just thinking of getting a solid door). A day or two later Sharon, Jimmy's assistant, sent us the quote for the door. After a few other appointments we decided to go with Jimmy's because they were always available to talk to and responsive. Sharon even called me back from her cell phone while sitting in traffic. She is also available by email which is extremely helpful. The day of the install, Jimmy's appointment was for 9:00 and he got there at 10:00. Once he was there he and his assistant got right to work and 4 hours later the old garage door was gone and the new one and all the new hardware and electric garage door opener were installed. Jimmy went through all the functionality of the door and the opener. I highly recommend Jimmy's garage door service.

Jimmy arrived right on time with a positive, upbeat attitude and went right to work. He completed my small job in under thirty minutes and performed an additional safety step at no charge. I requested a proposal for some additional work and received a detailed faxed response from his office later that day. I will be accepting his proposal and am very confident in his work.

Service was great...showed up early on the reschedule, but had to reschedule since he didn't show up at first appointment. I called and left a voicemail, after which I received an apologetic phone call about a previous appointment running long. Stuff happens, would have been nice to get the proactive call about the need to reschedule. Other than that, everything else was stellar...I would probably reuse them in the future... ...btw...garage door is now 10x quieter when it opens and closes

My experience with Jimmy's Garage Door Service was wonderful. He was great. It works great. He was very friendly. He knocked on my front door and he showed me a business card and his truck was in my driveway, so we knew who he was. I didn't have to worry that he shouldn't have been at my house. He's a very friendly guy. He explained to me just what he was going to do. He said that if there were any other problems, that he would discuss it with me. He was wonderful. For $99.00, he did a lot of work.

Jimmy arrived promptly, did all the needed work and more! It was a pleasure to do business with him. This was our second Angies List business that we used since moving into our townhouse in March. We have been so pleased with the referrals that we are suggesting Angie to everyone! I do not hesitate to look for other businesses here first.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He was fine. He was prompt, he came, was very pleasant and he fixed the problem. It was a good deal. He was nice, pleasant and made the appointment on time. I have no complaints. His not local, he comes from New Jersey and I live in the Rockland County but I would use him if the prices were comparable.

My experience was fantastic from beginning to end. The woman who answered the phone was professional and friendly. Our service man was on-time, extremely personable, and very knowledgeable. We purchased a $99 deal for a tune up and he did that and more, going above and beyond to reprogram our remote and install a new battery (that he took from his own private inventory). We will be replacing our door in the coming years and will absolutely use Jimmy's for that as well. You will be so pleased with this company. Please call them. Thanks Angie's List!

ngeJimmy arrived promptly and was courteous and efficient (on a 95 degree day!). He completed his work and pointed out a cable issue on my 25 year old garage door system. Jimmy suggested that I get the cables and pulleys replaced. He was not pushy and it was clear that there was a crack in the original cable. On my approval, he completed the repairs for another $105. I asked if I needed to replace the springs and, upon his checking, Jimmy told me that they were fine and did not need replacement. Jimmy also noticed that the wood trim was loose on the outside of door frame and repaired that at no cost. I was very comfortable with Jimmy's honesty and prices. Even with the extra repairs, this service was a bargain and the workmanship was excellent. Garage door no longer makes noise and moves smoothly. I highly recommend this company.

FANTASTIC!! The proprietor (Jimmy) came, and told me right away that I didn't need my rollers replaced, instead of charging me for something I didn't need. One of my doors was somewhat damaged, and he repaired, realigned, and lubed it. He also reinforced both doors, and replaced the seals on the bottom. The end result is 2 beautifully operating, quiet doors. They both used to creak horribly, and were in danger of seizing up. He probably spent twice as much time on this job as the original offer was worth, but didn't charge me anything extra. He was also very courteous, funny, and professional, and educated me about the doors' maintenance. I highly, highly recommend him, and would use him again (although I expect I never will have to because of the quality of the work he performed.)

Very professional and knowledgable. Suggested a new door opener as our bOard was going bad- nice and no pressure to buy- but when our opener goes, we will use Jimmy. very nice and professional company.

This is my first review on Angie's List... I choose Jimmy's Garage Door & Service because of the great reviews on Angie's list. At first, I was skeptical, the reviews were "too good to be true". Jimmy came to give me an estimate and it was easy to see why he got the reviews, this is one 'passionate' man who love garage doors.. Jimmy and his team showed up today 'on time', and finished in a few hours. A few things that separate Jimmy from my experiences with other garage door installers that I have used on other properties that I own. First, he explained everything...why he was doing this, or that. Second, he cleaned up everything...including sweeping every last piece of dirt both inside, and outside in the driveway. Third, he sealed everything, and I mean, EVERYTHING. There is no place for air to get in when he was finished. I normally don't do reviews, to be honest. I did for Jimmy because he really earned it.. He's one of those nice guys that you hope does well in life....who does excellent work.. He has pride in what he does.. In addition, dealing with Sharon was a complete pleasure. She was responsive to my phone calls, my emails, and made sure everything was perfect. They make a great team..!!! You will not be sorry using Jimmy's Garage Door..!!

Jimmy's Garage Door Service were good and they came right out, he was very pleasant and fixed the problem and charged me the standard fee and that was it, it has been working every since. He was extremely pleasant and a very nice guy. His price was good.

Excellent - would highly recommend. Was timely, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Did not try to oversell. Gave me two quotes and i went with the higher one based on clopay name recognition. Was super impressed that on day of install Jimmy did the entire job himself because another guy called in sick. I would highly recommend his service again. I just want to add that this is my first review after recently joining angies list and wanted to share with others what a great experience it was.

I can not believe the pleasure I have in opening my garage door now. It used to be so loud and obnoxious, we could not only hear it we could feel it every time the garage door rolled open. I called Jimmy to fix an obvious broken pulley. He came in and acted more like a piano tuner than a mechanic, He replaced everything that needed replacing, frayed cables, another shot pulley, oddly matched wheels, this was no bait and switch my garage door was a mess from the last company that did work on it, and from the stress a bad job puts on the door. It was really bad, I thought the door would just fall one day. Jimmy came in and examined it and fixed it like a surgeon, only with a nice disposition. Pulleys, cables, wheels, came off, out came the saw to cut a piece of wood to reanchor the motor drive, and then the best part he tuned the door! He manually with one hand opened and closed the door readjusting cables and tracks until he was satisfied that it was moving well, actually now gliding like it should. I was shocked, This noisy NYC Subway like door was reduced to a silent apparatus that magically opens to my garage with less noise than my silent dishwasher. The garage door is so smooth, my four year old can open it manually!! (Not recommended but I was curious). Jimmy is a genius. I wish he could fix everything in my house!!!
